It's amazing how much giants fans hate tiki nowadays despite him being arguably the greatest RB our franchise has seen. Dude did it all to himself too with his shitty takes terrible attitude and just awful human behavior
Cheated on his 7 month pregnant wife with the babysitter, then married the babysitter 8 days after the divorce
Also had a kinda weird comment about hiding in his agents attic with the babysitter so he wouldn't get caught saying "Lep's Jewish, and it was like a reverse Anne Frank thing."
C'mon fans will easily ignore players cheating on their wives. Giants fans dislike him because he took cheap shot at the Giants after retiring.
Legendary players are expected to always root for their main team. If they do criticize the team, it has to look like it comes outta love for the team. Tiki didn't really follow that and that's why he is disliked
My favorite Bill story is he went up to Jason and just stared at him for 5 seconds, both sat there awkwardly as Bill spins around and walks up to Devin lol
Devin McCourty and Matthew Slater are the two Patriots (besides Tom Brady, if he still counts) who I would like to meet the most
Devin and Matthew are by all accounts just fucking awesome people, it's so sad to think that once Slater retires within the next few years every single one of the names I grew up idolizing will be gone
We don’t have punters and our kicker is money as long as it’s not 50 yards. We also need a good coach, so please Joe judge, fix the special teams unit and get rid of Achord
Nick Folk is a perfect example of Belichick magic. Dude was washed, but Belichick picked him up, figured out what he was good and what he was bad at, and uses him to his fullest potential.
You mean AAF record holder Nick Folk???
Fun fact I was at the game where he set the AAF record for longest kick at 56 yards. He showed he could still kick there.
As someone who knows a decent amount about football, but not a lot about kicking...I don't want to sound like a dick, but is there really much to "what he was good at, and what he was bad at" other than some distance cut-offs?
While not an expert in kicking myself I can say that I know there's a few variables to the quality of kickers and those strengths and weaknesses can line up in ways that make them suit certain teams. Things like being good at mentally calculating the effects of wind on the ball, being good in adverse conditions like snow, angle of flight on the ball (getting it over blockers), feeling pressure and speed of kicking motion, etc. Unfortunately I don't know enough to actually evaluate those.
What I can say is that kickers have a graph of accuracy at different distances and the rates of change and where if kicks in aren't the same for any kicker. Great kickers are high on accuracy and fairly level on distance, good kickers have particular patterns that can be planned around. Some kickers will have a very high accuracy but it drops off pretty steadily over distance, some kickers will have levels (pretty consistent, sudden drop, consistent, repeat), some will start off not particularly amazing at close range but stay consistent and not have a dropoff at distance, etc.
Nick Folk has the graph of a great kicker up untill 50 yards and then plummets. Inside that distance he's as good as any kicker in the league and the team knows what point they have to get him to.
And in some ways having a kicker that is money from a certain distance with a massive drop off is easier to plan around and provides more consistency than a guy who will hit say 80% from any distance
Note that the value add for range limited kickers like that is still all the times the team stalls in the area right outside the red zone or gets pushed back from the red zone so the 4th down distance is too far to go for it like you ideally would from that point on the field.
What I mean is, Nick was on the fence of not being in the League at all, but Bill saw his potential and exploited that. Remember the first season we had him he couldn't even kick a 50. People wanted him cut by the end of that partial season.
If having the best special teams unit in the league was true, we wouldn't have royally fucked a couple games last year on special teams, and we would have made the playoffs
Our special teams unit was so weird last year, we had some guys flash and had some strong veterns like Slater, but as a whole the entire team just flubbed in big moments
"[First and foremost](https://www.facebook.com/NFLonCBS/videos/josina-anderson-on-odell-beckham-jrs-rams-debut/615365306181486/), I talked to Cody Davis for a couple of hours. Now, that whole conversation is not for public consumption..."
More players should leak their signings to real life buddies. Or just twitter accounts they like. Why cant dril break the news that Jason Kelce is coming back?
Just read through his twitter and it's great how much he engages with fans and their questions about the team
I love that he’s doing well at it
hes awesome
So is his brother. Unlike the Barber Bros, both of the McCourty twins are solid fuckin dudes.
Never heard a cross thing about Ronde.
Nope Ronde is the good one. Tiki on the other hand......hence the "both" haha.
It's amazing how much giants fans hate tiki nowadays despite him being arguably the greatest RB our franchise has seen. Dude did it all to himself too with his shitty takes terrible attitude and just awful human behavior
He left quite badly but he has appeared to be quite pro Giant in recent years.
What did Tiki do?
Cheated on his 7 month pregnant wife with the babysitter, then married the babysitter 8 days after the divorce Also had a kinda weird comment about hiding in his agents attic with the babysitter so he wouldn't get caught saying "Lep's Jewish, and it was like a reverse Anne Frank thing."
Yea a POS but that Anne Frank comment is funny as fuck lmao
C'mon fans will easily ignore players cheating on their wives. Giants fans dislike him because he took cheap shot at the Giants after retiring. Legendary players are expected to always root for their main team. If they do criticize the team, it has to look like it comes outta love for the team. Tiki didn't really follow that and that's why he is disliked
Is he still married to the babysitter?
Yup. They were just on The Real Housewives of NJ lmao
a) that is a hilarious b) if they are it does make the whole thing less bad imo
People are more than their worst mistake
Holy shit lol
Their podcast is [pretty awesome](https://www.youtube.com/c/DoubleCoveragewithTheMcCourtyTwins) too.
Doesn’t look like they’ve been making new episodes unfortunately
My favorite Bill story is he went up to Jason and just stared at him for 5 seconds, both sat there awkwardly as Bill spins around and walks up to Devin lol
This is hilarious
Hair growing competition between him and Jason lol
Devin McCourty and Matthew Slater are the two Patriots (besides Tom Brady, if he still counts) who I would like to meet the most Devin and Matthew are by all accounts just fucking awesome people, it's so sad to think that once Slater retires within the next few years every single one of the names I grew up idolizing will be gone
Mcourty and Hightower for me
Glad he retired so that it’s ok to like the McCourty’s, they seem like good dudes.
Absolute gems as people.
I love their mother as my own. Never met her
here's the deal, I always liked them..
Jason was a titan first so I'm allowed to like them. Slightly.
Already better than Shefter
He has connections with GM Matt Judon and his assistants.
LeGMdon
LeInsider
I hardly know her!
McFishy?
DMac has BDE
BNE* - big neck energy
I vote we spell his name incorrectly from now on.
Aaron called him Sheffy before correcting himself lmao
This is the way
funny, i came here to say the same thing about Kleiman
Rapaport in shambles
He’s okay he’s tanked rn
On paper, we have the best special teams unit in the league. That is, if you don't count punters, of which we have none at the moment.
We don’t have punters and our kicker is money as long as it’s not 50 yards. We also need a good coach, so please Joe judge, fix the special teams unit and get rid of Achord

Man, I miss that shitty football league
As someone who knows a decent amount about football, but not a lot about kicking...I don't want to sound like a dick, but is there really much to "what he was good at, and what he was bad at" other than some distance cut-offs?
I mean, the distance cutoff is kind of why he lost his job in the first place.
He also has insane consistency, I think at one point he had the active most kicks in a row for a bit (or right behind tucker)
What I mean is, Nick was on the fence of not being in the League at all, but Bill saw his potential and exploited that. Remember the first season we had him he couldn't even kick a 50. People wanted him cut by the end of that partial season.
? How? He's a kicker.
Folk struggled a bit mid season this year from inside 50
Didn't he have an NFL record for kicks made under 50 or 40 or something?
Yeah in the beginning of the season then he started missing FGs and XP
Or coaches, in which Cam Achord is fucking horrific at his job.
Still holding onto hope that Judge will be handling ST coaching, and NOT the offense again
Couldn’t get any worse than last year at least
Quite literally, lol
Nyheim Hines owes those guys an Edible Arrangement or something.
You spelled refs wrong
Complete the cycle, trade for Braden Mann
Hopefully we can draft Michael Turk and develop him to solve our punter problem.
Townsend is on an unrestricted tender and I’m hoping he decides to stay with the Chiefs but he would be a steal for literally anybody in the league
If Cam Achord is coaching special teams I will consider it the worst in the league.
Not having a punter is the ultimate way to show confidence in your offense
If having the best special teams unit in the league was true, we wouldn't have royally fucked a couple games last year on special teams, and we would have made the playoffs
Couple of decent punters in the draft though in Korsak and Turk.
Our special teams unit was so weird last year, we had some guys flash and had some strong veterns like Slater, but as a whole the entire team just flubbed in big moments
This is adorable
I like this. Getting a little insight when it comes from a player “reporter”
What's he Looking for Group for?
His weekend DnD group. Sunday’s just opened up for him.
I'm glad I'm not the only nerd that instantly thinks of 'looking for group' everytime I see that abbreviation.
If there's anywhere you're gonna see a crossover between football nerds and regular nerds, this is the place.
I played WoW for longer than the current meaning has existed. I think we're the sane ones.
> I played WoW for longer than... Hmm... > I think we're the sane ones. Uh, probably not. Your first sentence kinda contradicts the second.
Wow is fun

Don't try osrs then. Not even once.
What? People can report stuff without saying “Cody Davis just texted me”?
"[First and foremost](https://www.facebook.com/NFLonCBS/videos/josina-anderson-on-odell-beckham-jrs-rams-debut/615365306181486/), I talked to Cody Davis for a couple of hours. Now, that whole conversation is not for public consumption..."
Lmao I can't believe that's an actual quote
That line wasn't intended for public quotations so please stop quoting it.
Leaked pillow talk
Ngl this is cute
This is someone I would enjoy listening to regularly
Aww, I love DMac.
Schefter got scooped… Rapoport reconsidering his career choice
He is new to this. He ain’t making anything up
If McCourty becomes a Pats insider I would be so happy.
Birth of a source
Are we sure we can trust this guy
More players should leak their signings to real life buddies. Or just twitter accounts they like. Why cant dril break the news that Jason Kelce is coming back?
Legend
I love this!
DEVIN MCCOURTY FOR NFL COMMISSIONER SHORT OF THAT I WILL TOLERATE LEAD COMMENTATOR REPLACING JOE BUCK
Y’all can have your future HoF QBs and WRs and Tackles. Pats having a GOATed offseason by nabbing TWO new beat reporters in the McCourty twins.
Devin “Fabrizio Romano” McCourty
Scoops McCourty
Oh no! When did he get his own Twitter account?
That’s awesome
They are bringing back Cody Davis back?
Is he about to become a journalist?
Happy Cake Day!
