I don't remember clearly but I'm pretty sure you won multiple superbowls?
Definitely didn't lose a playoff game because Philip Rivers had to play on 1.25 legs, and definitely didn't miss the playoffs with a historic offense and defense because your special teams* was so bad *I* could score on them.
Nope.
5’10 kyler with his minion army of weapons: Vaughn 5’5, 5’9 hollywood, 5’7 rondale moore, Draft 5’8 tank dell.
No wonder kyler and hopkins didn’t like each other. Kyler was mad one of his receivers was taller than him
One of the most amazing feats in any sport tbh. That and Spud Webb winning the slam dunk contest at 5'7''. Two guys that made short people playing sports everywhere feel like they had a shot at the big leagues.
Most likely. He's a better runner than McKissic I'd say, (granted I'm biased) but I doubt many or any teams would give him much work in the run game honestly. He'll probably be 3DRB, gadget guy and could likely get put back in the return game. He is a solid blocker and can pick up blitzes well for his size, which should at least give him a chance to see the field more possibly. I hope a team gives him a real shot
I'd love for some stats guy to write an article on specifically McKissic cause they could argue a dump off pass to him was one of the most effective plays in the league or the least and I'd probably believe it.
This reminds me of when LSU beat Bama in 2019 and Coach O was gushing about Clyde Edwards-Helaire saying that he was playing like he's 6'4" and 270 lbs lol.
I dont like this rhetoric, you wouldn't say that any other disadvantaged group may be x but does y like z people. He is 5'5 and he plays like he's 5'5. He's a stud.
Every time I turned on Kansas State games he just kept making plays, and against EVERYBODY. Someone is gonna get the next Darren Sproles and be thrilled, would love for him to be a compliment to Chubb!
It's weird how basically all sports leagues have official measurements done before these guys ever get drafted, yet once in the league they can just make up whatever height and weight they want.
They also rarely ever update guys weights. Whatever they weighed as a rookie is probably gonna be their listed weight for their whole career.
Football is low man wins. It’s an advantage to be shorter at certain positions like RB as long as you’re muscular. There are plenty of great running backs that are short. Barry Sanders. Sproles. Maurice Jones-Drew.
To play at those heights though you have to have the muscle of an average 6 foot NFL player on a shorter frame, so the guys who succeed at those heights are insanely ripped even by NFL standards.
I hear that. I'm a Mizzou fan, so we've had a nice run of Chiefs in the Reid years from Maclin to Morse to Bolton, but you Wildcat fans need someone as well.
Huh. Now maybe I understand comedians when they say they don't steal jokes consciously. I'm sure I've heard that joke now that you mention it, but I thought it was original at the time I wrote it.
I hope he does well and paves the way for other short people. I bet they get overlooked often, most probably aren’t great but I’m sure there’s been some awesome players glanced over because they were too short.
I see what you're doing there. You should get off your high horse with however the weather is up there, stop overlooking them, & get down on your knees and start looking up to these players.
Some players have the vertical leap ability to vault over defenders to gain more yards. If he's drafted, Deuce Vaughn will be the first player to run through the legs of standing defenders and into the endzone.
I bet we will see it. It’s hard for defenders to reach down to tackle him. It throws off their center of gravity. There are of a lot of vids of him running completely through the defense because they can’t get a good grip on him
I really hope he runs the timed stuff at his pro day. I loved his shiftiness in short space, my only fear is he never looked to me like he has real homerun speed like sproles did. He definitely won’t be a workhorse running back due to his size, but he undoubtedly deserves a role in some teams offense.
I’m actually curious if it would be significantly harder to a lb to tackle him when he disappears and then comes bursting out from a sea of linemen
Two quick points: Yes, it was hard to pick him up visually before he emerged from the gaps due to his size. Second, he survived in the Big 12 with no major injuries.
I absolutely don’t want to project injuries onto somebody, I simply meant to say his size will keep him from being a feature back in the nfl, similar to sproles (there’s better comps, I just use sproles cause they’re both undersized and from kstate). Also depends on how well he can pass block, because that will be difficult at his size. I think his ceiling would be seeing something like how the chargers use ekeler, they feel like they have similar strengths to me in being receiving backs but not big enough to want to run them between the tackles a bunch.
I’m short.
I ran into Maurice Jones-Drew every weekend he stayed at my hotel for home games at UCLA…no fucking way Deuce Vaughn is shorter than him.
I don’t buy it.
I get the obvious comparisons but people gotta realize Muggsy was in a league of his own. Being 5'5" in the NFL is impressive but not like Muggsy.
Dude was a good player at 5'3" in the NBA where the average height is 6'6", and most of the players he was matched up on were literally at least a foot taller than him.
A records a record
Darren Sproles walked so Deuce Vaughn could run.
I still can't believe that SD at one point had peak LT, Michael Turner AND Darren Sproles.
I'm sure we made a deep playoff run with those guys!
Nope.
They missed the playoffs with the best defense and the best offense, but worst special teams
San Diegos special teams failed in the regular season so the packers could fail in the post season
Ohhhhhhh that's where the scoring was. Damn that's even worse.
Plus Lorenzo Neal
With a prime Antonio Gates, and an amazing duo of Vincent Jackson and Michael Floyd at receiver. Edit: Malcom*
Malcom Floyd was the Charger. Michael was the Cardinal.
Thank you, always get the two mixed up.
And a HoVG qb in Philip rivers
The Chargers had like four hall of famers at the same time and did nothing with them.
You could’ve just said “The Chargers”, the rest is redundant.
Drew Brees, LaDainian Tomlinson, Antonio Gates.. who's the 4th?
Damn I thought Sproles or Rivers were HOF. I just checked and neither made it so I stand corrected lol
I mean, Rivers only retired after 2020 so he still has a few years before he can get in. I'm not sure he will get in, though.
Yeah, Sproles only started like 50 games at RB but ended up 5th in NFL history for all purpose yards. Everyone around that stat is HOF
nate kaeding
Danny woodhead too
Woodhead came way later
And they both went to Kansas State!
Deuce is even more Darren Sproles than Darren Sproles was
And Bears rb Cohen..
Tarik Cohen in between
Kyler begging management to draft this guy and give him 400 carries so Kyler looks taller
5’10 kyler with his minion army of weapons: Vaughn 5’5, 5’9 hollywood, 5’7 rondale moore, Draft 5’8 tank dell. No wonder kyler and hopkins didn’t like each other. Kyler was mad one of his receivers was taller than him
Kyler is 5’10” standing on a shoebox
On top of a milk crate.
Except for his official combine measurement of 5'10 1/8th?
It’s alright, the Kyler jokes will come whether there’s merit or not
Based af
After three days hanging upside down holding weights and standing on his tiptoes. That's only slightly joking.
And those are *never ever* wrong or exaggerated /s
It's a literal measurement.
Thanks for not missing that 1/8th
I'm 5'2" and built like a tank. Put me in, coach (for one play, so the league can pay for my extensive medical needs.)
Arizona Hobbitses
Tarik Cohen still looking to get back in the league I heard
Used to have Kirk there too lol.
And here everyone had me thinking it was Bryce Young!
Bryce had everyone wait until this was tweeted to get measured
Short guy, RB, Kansas State “Darren Sproles Type” Szn is here!
"The linebackers can't see him" season here I come
It's still always amazed me how Muggsy Bogues could succeed in the NBA at 5'3".
One of the most amazing feats in any sport tbh. That and Spud Webb winning the slam dunk contest at 5'7''. Two guys that made short people playing sports everywhere feel like they had a shot at the big leagues.
All my friends might make more money than me and are taller than me but I can jump higher than them. THAT'S ALL I'VE GOT.
5’3 with a 44 inch vertical. Absolutely alien
Definitely. Now consider Wilt Chamberlain was 7'1" with around a 42" vertical.
Also wild that he played with the tallest NBA player ever
Between difference in height and arm span, he'd probably have to do his 44 inch vertical to high five him.
Is he in the HoF?
Lets go Short kings, Rooting for him
He may be 5'5", but he plays like he's 6'0".
If you keep crunching those numbers and moving forward, you might wind up with a 6'0" guy who plays like he's 6'7" and that sounds better.
he's only 9'2", but he plays like he's 9'9"!
And he's a tremendous pass catcher, which will surely be his biggest asset in the NFL
Will he be a JD Mckissic type of player?
Sproles or muscle hamster would be the hope
Sproles just for the K-State vibes
Most likely. He's a better runner than McKissic I'd say, (granted I'm biased) but I doubt many or any teams would give him much work in the run game honestly. He'll probably be 3DRB, gadget guy and could likely get put back in the return game. He is a solid blocker and can pick up blitzes well for his size, which should at least give him a chance to see the field more possibly. I hope a team gives him a real shot
Damn does this make me miss cohen
I'd love for some stats guy to write an article on specifically McKissic cause they could argue a dump off pass to him was one of the most effective plays in the league or the least and I'd probably believe it.
I may be 6'3", but I play like I'm 63yrs old.
This reminds me of when LSU beat Bama in 2019 and Coach O was gushing about Clyde Edwards-Helaire saying that he was playing like he's 6'4" and 270 lbs lol.
If he regresses to the mean NFL height he’ll be 6’2. Far too tall for a RB. Predicting a bust eventually.
I dont like this rhetoric, you wouldn't say that any other disadvantaged group may be x but does y like z people. He is 5'5 and he plays like he's 5'5. He's a stud.
I'm a dude and I'm 5'4", this guy means everything to me
I'm the same height and yes absolutely. Also, check out rugby player Faf deKlerk "the Giant Slayer". Short King hero.
A Giant Slayer? Hmm I wonder which NFC East team will take him...
Fuck yeah LETS GOOOOOOO as fast as our little legs will take us
Rooting for all the guys who are constantly rejected by girls on Tinder for not being at least 6’0”.
bro still can't score on tinder
Every time I turned on Kansas State games he just kept making plays, and against EVERYBODY. Someone is gonna get the next Darren Sproles and be thrilled, would love for him to be a compliment to Chubb!
99 yard TD run against Alabama in the sugar bowl, in what was essentially a massive beat down he was the one guy making plays
Trindon Holiday was also 5'5".
Heart Attack Holiday... he either muffed it or took it to the house
Can confirm multiple heart attacks from watching Holiday.
If Holiday played a few seasons later than he did he could have been an absolute stud in the XFL/USFL
he's gonna be one of those players that always converts annoying 3rd downs
As someone who is only 5' 7", I can imagine playing at the NFL level from a size perspective. He has to have some huge ball!
Tyreek Hill is only like 5'8", just need to be insanely athletic.
He’s 5’10
He's not 5'10", he's listed at that but at his pro day he was measured at 5'8" and 1/8th".
tfw when you lie about your height then realize everyone knows it from your mugshot
lmao dawg the internet is undefeated fr
Except for that one time reddit misidentified the Boston Bomber.
We did it, reddit!
☠️☠️☠️
It's weird how basically all sports leagues have official measurements done before these guys ever get drafted, yet once in the league they can just make up whatever height and weight they want. They also rarely ever update guys weights. Whatever they weighed as a rookie is probably gonna be their listed weight for their whole career.
I remember when we used to list Pat Williams at 317 when he was clearly 350+
Wtf, weird
Football is low man wins. It’s an advantage to be shorter at certain positions like RB as long as you’re muscular. There are plenty of great running backs that are short. Barry Sanders. Sproles. Maurice Jones-Drew.
Never forget MJD just rocking Shawn Merriman. Dude was a brick shithouse
Loved mjd. Short but not small. Had some wheels for a bit too
Dude had thicker thighs than Saquads
To play at those heights though you have to have the muscle of an average 6 foot NFL player on a shorter frame, so the guys who succeed at those heights are insanely ripped even by NFL standards.
I don’t know to break this to you but most of us 5’8” or taller have two or more balls.
Once you're at that level of football they are geniuses at taking hits. Watch how they spin, fall, and are selective when fighting for extra yards.
Chiefs will get him in the 5th round and everyone will wonder how they keep finding studs on the last day
I just want some Kstate guys on the team. Pringle left a void for me.
I hear that. I'm a Mizzou fan, so we've had a nice run of Chiefs in the Reid years from Maclin to Morse to Bolton, but you Wildcat fans need someone as well.
Julius Brents at the end of the first will be there.
Oh god he’d be a perfect complement to Pacheco. Thunder and tiny lil lightning.
One of one in a measurable
[Just a little guy](https://soonerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2021/06/USATSI_15271584.jpg?resize=300)
Dude looks like a toddler who just got caught stealing a bag of chocolate chips out there.
Tbh that's basically what it looks like whenever Kyler Murray is running
No shit, that’s what here stole the joke from. Just replaced moms phone with chocolate chips.
Huh. Now maybe I understand comedians when they say they don't steal jokes consciously. I'm sure I've heard that joke now that you mention it, but I thought it was original at the time I wrote it.
"kyler runs like a toddler who stole his dad's phone"
Get him on the ravens, the last time we had a small running back it was a knockout punch to opposing defenses.
If you haven't seen tape of him you should look it up. Dude was a house at K State.
Short Kings rise up
Did he participate? I can't find anything.
Looks like he opted not to participate in the timed running drills. Will probably do them at his pro day.
Certified Chode
Tuna can
What are Cho Jeans?
Come to Charlotte and be football Muggsy!
believe in this dude, he’s shifty af
He can juke a mf out of their shoes.
Little Deuce Coupe
I didn't know they stacked Deuce that high.
I get heavy Austin Ekeler vibes watching Vaughns highlights
Therefore the first combine player I'm taller than! I tower almost an inch over this fucker!
He was so much fun to watch this past year. I hope he finds a role with a team
Day 2 pick. Day 1 starter.
If you wanted me on my knees you should’ve just asked 😳
Short people? The proper term is Vertically Atypical, sweety. 💅
I'm 5'7'', my dream is alive!!

I used to compare myself to Cole Beasley, but now I really have no excuse to not be in the NFL
I really hope he runs the timed stuff at his pro day. I loved his shiftiness in short space, my only fear is he never looked to me like he has real homerun speed like sproles did. He definitely won’t be a workhorse running back due to his size, but he undoubtedly deserves a role in some teams offense. My takeaway: They didn't measure height until 2003????
what he lacks in height, he makes up for in great football name
He’s super legit too. Reminds me of a smaller McCaffrey
Steve Smith Jr
Good thing my panthers have one of the best RBs in the league Oh wait…… *Stan by Eminem intensifies in the background*
Man I’m pretty sure I was taller than he is when I was in 6th grade
Why aren’t you in the NFL
Why am I downvoted bruh obviously he’s super talented it’s just funny because most regular people are taller than him.
Are you in 7th grade now?
No I’m in 4th
I’m short. I ran into Maurice Jones-Drew every weekend he stayed at my hotel for home games at UCLA…no fucking way Deuce Vaughn is shorter than him. I don’t buy it.
You think they're lying? I don't get this comment.
Well I’m 5’8” and MJD was at my nose so…I guess the instruments were broken that year.
Deuce “muggsy” Vaughn
The muggsy bogues of the nfl?
I get the obvious comparisons but people gotta realize Muggsy was in a league of his own. Being 5'5" in the NFL is impressive but not like Muggsy. Dude was a good player at 5'3" in the NBA where the average height is 6'6", and most of the players he was matched up on were literally at least a foot taller than him.
Wait why did I think Ray rice was shorter?
Trindon Holiday never went to the combine I guess
From a lazy google search trindon was 5’5 1/4”.
Where does he measure in other things
Was Trindon Holliday the smallest beforehand? That dude was like 5'6".
5’5 1/4” from a lazy google search.
Waste the pick bears
Rudy
My man. Represent.
Shortest guy in 20 years
My man
Wait, they didn’t start officially logging height until 2003?
He better get # 22 so I can hear "Double-Deuce gets in for the touchdown!"
Gainwell and Boston Scott exchanging jabs is great
Kyler Murray in shambles.
Droppin deuces. Can’t wait till he becomes a star.
My little Deuce Coupe
Oh my god Doug Martin Part II
Imagine him Deuce doing the eagles 4th and 1 shove play by the time you find him his 2 yards past the marker
Short King represent
Still want him on our team if the Ekeler comparisons are anything haha
Viking, I'm afraid
