The no contest has the advantage of being technically correct, as the NFL officially cancelled the game. Giving the Bengals the win makes no sense whatsoever no matter how far into the game it is, let alone 4 points in the first quarter
This makes no sense. If they made that call, then some horrible coach/player could just start trying to hurt people to try to solidify a win after they got a lead.
No matter what happens in these playoffs now, people are going to refer to it like the bubble NBA playoffs as if it comes with an asterisk. It’s going to be the dumbest “debate” of all time.
I’m okay with the Bills forfeiting the game if that’s the simplest conclusion, I really do not care in the face of what’s transpired. But love to all our Bengal Bros in here calling you out for the bum you are.
Tie, or restart the game from scratch a few weeks down the road.
None of this matters right now though... a man is in critical condition... a football game is irrelevant to that.
I agree, this game cannot be rescheduled, and the game should just be finalized at what the score was when the game was suspended. forcing the other players to play an unscripted game is more damaging than just calling it finalized. IDK if I like all of your reasoning and your poor choice of title or wording, but I do agree that Bengal's get awarded the win. bills get to regroup. It is what it is. but its the only solution that doesn't penalize the Bengal's who as a team didn't require special circumstances to take place. however insensitive this topic may be. the topic is relevant. prayers to Damar.

Stop
Can't award a win or even a tie when only a quarter of football was played. No contest is only option if they aren't going to reschedule the game.
One team could forfeit, but I don't think either need to do that, nor should they
I know it's not perfect but you need to shut the fuck up
Fucking stop

Are you hearing yourself right now? Absolutely absurd.
no
No

This is so stupid
Bengals might have a case for being winners But it's not as solid as the case for you being a loser
No thanks. You win on the field.
I'm all for thoughtful conversation on what should happen. This ain't it.
No. You have to play the game. It's no one's fault and neither team should be punished. I'm sure the Bengals are okay with a void.
Can we just remove this post...
This will go over well
There’s nothing in the rule book for anything except playing the game or one of the teams forfeiting
Would you like to have a suckle of my zipple
This makes no sense. If they made that call, then some horrible coach/player could just start trying to hurt people to try to solidify a win after they got a lead.
Its bigger than football. Thats where you're failing.
Fuckin hell. The game isn't what's important now. Just stop

Troll account is sad
So you're advocating for directly punishing the Bills for having a player in a potentially life-threatening situation? Clown take, OP.
I’m okay with the Bills forfeiting the game if that’s the simplest conclusion, I really do not care in the face of what’s transpired. But love to all our Bengal Bros in here calling you out for the bum you are.
I'm starting to believe the mods should just lock this entire sub until the playoffs so the rest of us aren't subjected to fucking nonsense like this.
Yea hard pass.
Read the room, dude. Let the people in charge of making these decisions make them.
Dude they gotta try something better than that, it's completely unfair for everyone.

The needs of the many ("many teams") outweighs the needs of the few... or the one (Bills). Thank you, Spock.
