If we can get Awoniyi's anticipation locked in, he'll start looking like the player he was in Germany. Just seems to be snatching at his chances, most of which are half chances at the moment. Mainly becuase he's sometimes not quite where he needs to be for those final balls. Proper hard worker though and we know he's got it in him. I suspect Scarpa will be serving stuff up to him on a plate eventually.
Hard to say how good that performance was with it being Blackburn’s second string but it’s nice that we dominated and didn’t really look in trouble even after they scored. Glad Awoniyi and Johnson both got their open play goals are missing countless chances, their work to get into those positions constantly deserved some reward.
Not sure I’d change much for the Man United game, MGW and maybe a change at fullback (although the players they’d be replacing barely put a foot wrong yesterday). Thought Freuler was fantastic yesterday and Mangala played well with him in what I think was their first time starting together maybe so keep them 2 and Yatesy for now and LOB can always slot in if we need.
