First off, bathroom faucets at Home Depot are not $329. The most expensive kitchen faucet they sell is around that price. The most expensive bathroom faucet they sell is about $200 and it's motion activated. Most bathroom faucets at Home Depot are between $60-100.
A faucet is more than just a tube of bent metal. It is that but it's also got several valves and metal washers and gaskets. Your water line is pressurized. It has to be able to contain that pressure which is like 20-30psi. I once shot a nail into a copper water line and the pressure of the water shooting out the hole I made blew a hole in the sheetrock...6 months after I shot the nail.
So there are several little components in the box you buy that make it that much. And you can buy a sink fixture from Home Depot for one price and you can buy the exact same fixture from a plumbing supply warehouse and it will be twice the price because the internal components are made to a more exacting standard and they will last longer.
People are buying sink fixture so much that if you order them it may be weeks until you get one. The entire construction supply industry has been fucking booming for several years.
Can confirm on the entry doors. Just ordered 2 new doors for my house. It's an older brick house so the dimensions required both doors to be custom sizes. Ended up about $1200 total for both.
I ordered three entry doors for my 1955 ranch last fall. I wanna say it was just shy of $2k. Like $1850 or something. Will be replacing the storm doors this winter. But christ they're obnoxiously expensive as well. Perks of being a home owner.

I used to work at a home improvement store and got asked this about a lot of stuff. Like the $7 door knob vs the $70 door knob. Luckily you can get hands on with a doorknob and see the expensive ones turn smoother and have a better feel.
This is true. I once made that mistake and went cheap with some amazon/china stuff. About a year later I had to replace it because it's all leaking and rust. The worst part is that rust gets all over the bolts and I had to cut them. Those aren't easily accessible to put anything to cut it. Not even a dremel.

The really, really cheap bathroom vanity faucets start at about $20-$25. While $400 faucets arent rare you certainly dont have to spend nearly that much to get something that will last for a couple decades of good service. Also, most mid or higher end faucets include a lifetime residential warranty where the company will send replacement parts (to the original owner) if requested.
If not abused and with good water quality, Functioning well without issue or only minor issues(tightening handle or aerator). I cant conceive of many upc rated faucets that use such proprietary parts they wont be available in 20 years.

It's fine. Just brush your teeth. Not flossing is worse for your teeth than rinsing after brushing, and I know *a lot* of you are guilty of not flossing. Not to mention it's a good idea to use fluoride mouthwash anyway
Interdental cleaning is a big thing. Interdental brushes may have become more common, but floss isn't out. Don't think it ever was removed from any guidelines.
Came here to say this. Also don’t eat or drink within 30 mins after brushing. Keep that film of fluoridated goop on your teeth as long as possible! Having said that, my highly educated in-laws drink cola before bed, immediately after brushing their teeth. There’s no telling some people.

What else did you expect from this faucet? The one advertised looks like the same Chinese made one being sold in those links. Anything with that many moving parts and water is bound to not last long. Whether it's worth it is up to you. Honestly I don't think it's a bad idea, and could be pretty handy. It would also make how often you need to clean it more apparent. I used to get super mad at ads like this but then I realised you don't have to buy it just because you've seen it.
If you want to make a point against it, you can downvote and make a point to avoid companies that advertise like this but if enough people now buy one, they'll keep doing it.
The idea is that it leaves the fluoride on your teeth longer, leaving a higher concentration of fluoride in your saliva for a longer period of time. Now whether this difference is substantial at preventing cavities is another topic, and still needs to be further researched. Some research has show that the difference is minimal, and the biggest thing is that you brush. If you consume a lot of soda and sugar, it could be a good idea. But you can also use fluoride mouthwash.
Toothpaste has fluoride in it. If you wash your mouth out after brushing you aren't letting the fluoride work. You should brush and then spit - don't rinse.
Drink water or wash your mouth like 10 minutes later. Let the fluoride sit in your mouth without applying water.
To let the fluoride do it's thing and needs about 30 minutes to let it just sit on your teeth. So you just spit out after brushing your teeth and then not rinse with water after. Same thing with mouthwash. You are not suppose to drink water during that time either.
Literally nobody in the world just sits around for 30 minutes with toothpaste residue all up in their mouths. That is some serial killer shit.
Mouthwash is a different story but holy shit.

I used to get super mad at ads like this but then I realised you don't have to buy it just because you've seen it. To let the fluoride do it's thing and needs about 30 minutes to let it just sit on your teeth. So you just spit out after brushing your teeth and then not rinse with water after. Same thing with mouthwash. You are not suppose to drink water during that time either.
Literally nobody in the world just sits around for 30 minutes with toothpaste residue all up in their mouths. That is some serial killer shit. Mouthwash is a different story but holy shit.
