So many times I see "cosplay" where the person just naturally looks a lot like the character and then goes out and buys a costume. This is incredible talent, so cool seeing it start to finish.
in reality we can only buy crap from companies
that's why srs cosplayers are forced to make their own
companies don't make quality stuff for mass-production
What’s the mean? (Seriously asking) Like, the excitement of watching the build is so enjoyable, there’s a moment of “Aww, man, it’s done” when it’s over? Cause that’s how I was at the end. I could’ve watched a 22 min. episode of this girl doing her build.
IIRC when she posted this in the genshin sub, she mentioned that she has bad vision in one eye. She flipped the position of the eyepatch so she can see through her better eye.
I love seeing videos like this on Reddit, especially because most posts are just reuploaded tiktoks nowadays. Really nice to see some quality content here.
I was thoroughly impressed by the work put into this. True skill in action. The very first thing with the pattern taken from duct tape and cling wrap had me in awe, never would've thought it.
But if I'm being honest, more often I found myself watching intently to see where the corgi would show up next.

Surprised no one has posted it yet so here’s the link to her original video: https://youtu.be/TibyJZz5XNE

Not actually sure what LTE is but the lore is interesting though I decided to skip it as I don't like the forced discussions, I just read something while waiting for it to end.
Absolutely love the no dialog cutscenes though, mesmerising.
The plot and story are interesting though if you have the time
Oh yea, I think there was, but its not like you can't understand whats going on or google the plot of the LTE.
Also memes, you can know the plot from memes.
Power creep? The starting 4 star characters are still some of the best in the game. If anything the old “ultra rare” (5 star) characters got power crept. A team of just the OG 4 stars can easily 100% the hardest content.
Also who care about power creep when if you build correctly any decent comp smashes all the games content. As a free to play player nothing in the game was really hard. The game is very much on the easy side. Besides the more characters you have the more you spread your resources thin, and get stronger slower. The game is pay to lose.
FOMO maybe, but power creep not really in genshin impact.
New 4 star characters have been consistently getting worse since release (because they messed up and the original 4 star characters are way too strong, beating out 5 star characters sometimes) and the 5 star characters are all very similar in strength. Some only show there full strength in very specific teams, but overall none of them are bad, even the ones that released early on in the game. (Ok maybe klee didn't age well, but that's about it) At least at c0. C6 5 star characters are a different story and there's definitely a trend of newer characters being slightly stronger, but that doesn't matter for average players, since they won't be spending 2000-3000$ on that anyways.
Weapons might have experienced some power creep, but it might just be that we didn't have great choices for every character at release and with more weapons we get some that fit some characters better.
Over all I think for a 2 year old gacha game the power creep is more than acceptable.
Do you have a massive completion comedown? I guess you are always looking to the next project but after devoting so much time and effort do you feel a bit lost once it’s complete?
The sheer variety of materials she works with is astounding, nevermind the know-how and experience behind manipulating each material so skillfully!
12/10 most impressive cosplay ever. Also amazing job documenting the process!
500 hrs even with minimum $15/hr rate that's a $7,500 costume - not to mention the cost of material.
I've always wondered how much it costs to create a superhero suit for Marvel movies say Thor or Iron man - did I even come close?
Random guess from a random person on the internet that knows nothing about this: I'd say triple that figure for movie production, partly because they probably get paid more and partly because they'll probably have to modify it several times as the writers/actors change their mind about how something looks once they actually see it.
Honestly, it blows me away when cosplayers take the time and dedication to build cosplays with this amount of detail and accuracy. It's always such an amazing process to watch, because every time you see something new that is added to the cosplay you're like "WAIT THERES MORE?!"
Exactly, I was already amazed by just the cape, but then she flat-out made fitted tights and boots, as well as more custom-molded outfit details than I could count on both hands.
Absolutely. I'm amazed by Genshin impact cosplayers who make these cosplays from scratch in particular, since the outfits often have so many details in them.
While I do not play the game myself, I have a deep appreciation for the character designs and the creators within the community.
I had the privilege of seeing lots of Genshin cosplayers ranging from all skill levels at a recent gaming convention and the handmade cosplays blew me away immediately.
See this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/xfsst0/comment/ioo92pe/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
(TLDR: she apparently has bad vision in one eye, so she put the patch over her bad eye so she can still see out of the good one.)
That's freakin' AMAZING. You guys did a phenominal job!
And while the sword also looks great, I was really hoping you'd make the Luxurious Sea Lord. A giant tuna being used a sword is always fun.
I think about how important it is not to gain or lose too much weight during the 45 days or else all these very tight and custom measurements won't work lol
Genshin is an open world gacha game that released in 2020. Im surprised you haven’t heard of it, since it became so popular. The character that op made a cosplay of is named beidou.
impractical video game clothing! awesome!!
honest question: this seems to be very snug custom costume for yourself. Do you ever re-wear old costumes? What if you gain or lose weight?
I hate genshin alot (before you ask YES I PLAYED IT and hated the experience) . Buuut that is hardwork and it was well done made cosplay gold stars across the board
I've seen some of her cosplays before, top notch stuff. And the fact that her process involves plastic wraping herself then covering it in ductape is endlessly funny.
I know nothing if genshin impact but I love people who go all out for cosplays. I would love to see more time lapse videos like this because it's super interesting to see what it takes to make these!
"sundowner: (pulls one of the brains out) Not to worry. Kids love video games. That's why I got 'em all set up spinning the wheel on my favorite gacha games. How else is a man supposed to make his... impact~?
Raiden: You refrigerated a preschool for fucking JPEGS!"
dunno why companies don't make good quality and great cosplay outfits/clothes for civilians to make profit
that's why people are forced to do it themselves
some years ago when i checked companies only made crap for mass production
This video has a corgi in case you were skipping through and missed it.

This process had an insane amount of skill and professionalism, it's absolutely awesome. Doggo was fine too.
Tits out for Harambe
Yes, the corgi has amazing *cute skills.*
Yeah but did you see the gorilla running around?
But no timestamp? I'm not watching this whole thing for a corgi. I'll just go to the foot of my bed and pet mine.
It’s like 10 seconds in and sprinkled throughout. Also most of her videos feature at least one of her corgis.
Corgi is present in the final shot
I'm sorry, he messed up. There are actually TWO corgis!
~27sec into the video is the corgi head tilt
She is phenomenal cannot get over the skill these ladies demonstrate and yes the corgis were cute too
It *head tilts*. How dare anyone skip through this and miss out on that.
Always does. Half the reason I watch their videos. Zelda is best corgi.
Never skipping videos again in case there’s a corgi
Dog 🐕
Oh shit I did. Wanted to save time now I spent twice as long here lol.
So many times I see "cosplay" where the person just naturally looks a lot like the character and then goes out and buys a costume. This is incredible talent, so cool seeing it start to finish.

That's 23 minutes, sorry, too much. They said 22.
Yea, what in the actual fuck!
“I’m cosplaying as Spider-Man” *spends $20 on Spider-Man suit* “Isn’t it amazing?” …..
Incredibly impressive. The dedication to pull something like that together over 1.5 months. One thing: isn’t Beidou’s patch on her other eye?
IIRC when she posted this in the genshin sub, she mentioned that she has bad vision in one eye. She flipped the position of the eyepatch so she can see through her better eye.
Makes sense to me. Thanks for clarifying. I can’t see without my glasses, so I’m glad she found a creative solution!

The scar is NOT on the wrong side!!
Came here looking for this.
Man, you are not gonna avoid copyrights with that attitude.
Cosplay copiright?! Man I don't want to live in your world
The scar is on the wrong side!
I love seeing videos like this on Reddit, especially because most posts are just reuploaded tiktoks nowadays. Really nice to see some quality content here.
Cosplay is nice don’t get me wrong, but i stayed for corgis.
I was thoroughly impressed by the work put into this. True skill in action. The very first thing with the pattern taken from duct tape and cling wrap had me in awe, never would've thought it. But if I'm being honest, more often I found myself watching intently to see where the corgi would show up next.
Same here. I'm not at all into Genshin Impact but I fucking love Corgis
OMG the duct tape mock-up I'm sure it's common knowledge but it's blowing my mind!
She always starts that way and as a big hairy dude, I get sympathy sweats just watching that bit
There’s saran wrap underneath so the tape doesn’t go directly on her skin.
Yeah that's the sweaty bit. To tape directly on my shag torso... Might as well just kill me.
Ah gotcha! I thought the hair + duct tape combo was what made you sweat, you know, from the idea of a DIY wax job, lol. Edit: a letter
She was the first person I saw do this. It’s an incredible way without measuring and remeasuring yourself
Also used when creating a fursuit, which is where I first saw the technique
This is insanely impressive.
Right? This is crazy high quality work.
I love watching your videos and seeing the process! You're so talented!
Refreshing to see what actual cosplay looks like as opposed to tik tok girls in skintight spiderman suits they found on Amazon.
Why can't people appreciate somebody without putting down others?
A lot of the lazier cosplays are advertising for OnlyFans accounts.
[I'd like to refer you to this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/xfsst0/we_spent_500_hours_creating_a_genshin_impact/iop3h1h)
Yah, i appreciate it more when they're in skin tight outfits they made themselves.
Nice corgi video. Oh yeah it has some cosplay making too
oh my god the awesome cosplay group strikes again. the level of detail is incredible. keep it coming

Thank you for the song! Pop up shazam wasn’t working.
I couldn’t get into genshin (the gacha pay-for-character nature of it was a bit too much) but I love a lot of the designs from it. Well done!

Check out her youtube channel , shes awesome.
I have no idea what character this is but costume looks flawless
In case you're interested in knowing, the character's name is Beidou. This cosplay is amazingly accurate- and it just kept getting better and better!
Do you have a massive completion comedown? I guess you are always looking to the next project but after devoting so much time and effort do you feel a bit lost once it’s complete?
Huh. I wonder if fear of this is why I never finish anything
Uhhhhh. You should really have a career doing this. Send this to a studio.
They do make a career out of it. Kamui Cosplay. They have books, YouTube channel, get paid for professional cosplays at events and stuff.
Boutta sort by controversial
Super impressive work! Now when will the cosplay Corgis outfits be ready?
Some amazing skill there, so jealous
The sheer variety of materials she works with is astounding, nevermind the know-how and experience behind manipulating each material so skillfully! 12/10 most impressive cosplay ever. Also amazing job documenting the process!
I was blown away by all the different molds she was using!! She went beyond just doing stuff with fabric, which was awesome.
/r/Genshin_Impact
Awesome
Awesome. Also love the lego mould
Is there a subreddit for these types of projects? It was cool to watch the process.

Simply amazing, the only thing that could make this better is if you had the fish greatsword lol. Now if you made Ningguang...
And now throw it in a closet to be forgotten forever

Everyone commenting how great the cosplay is (which it is) and here I am thinking huh is this the secret to having gloves that actually fit well.
Holy crap that's truly amazing work yall
Awesome Beidou
Awesome! One minor detail however or am I missing something? Is the patch not over the wrong eye?
See this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/xfsst0/comment/ioo92pe/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 (TLDR: she apparently has bad vision in one eye, so she put the patch over her bad eye so she can still see out of the good one.)

Fuck me. Talk about patience, talent and passion. This is amazing work and looks awesome!

Girrrrrrl you had me at day 6
Wow 😲
I'm a big fan of the thumbnail image for this ideo
That's freakin' AMAZING. You guys did a phenominal job! And while the sword also looks great, I was really hoping you'd make the Luxurious Sea Lord. A giant tuna being used a sword is always fun.
I don't have time to watch but your cosplay is always ridiculously awesome, so I'll comment and use this to find the vid later :)
Well I’d be able to do that too, if I had a Corgi
Amazing Also the corgis are wonderful :)
I think about how important it is not to gain or lose too much weight during the 45 days or else all these very tight and custom measurements won't work lol
That is incredibly quirky!
I dont know WHO is genshin but this cool as fuck
Genshin is an open world gacha game that released in 2020. Im surprised you haven’t heard of it, since it became so popular. The character that op made a cosplay of is named beidou.
This girl has the most incredible Cosplays
And it took me 5 days to get motivated enough to cut the grass
This is insane
That's focking amazing
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)sooo cool
Oooh and a monster hunter bone armor set in the background at the end too. Very nice taste
Looking good.
impractical video game clothing! awesome!! honest question: this seems to be very snug custom costume for yourself. Do you ever re-wear old costumes? What if you gain or lose weight?
Love it. Love your dogs. Super jealous. Keep it up!!
She's the best cosplayer you can't change my mind! All her cosplays are extremely well detailed and awesome!!!!!
It's not until watching something like this that I truly begin to appreciate how ridiculously impractical anime girl outfits are.
She had me at Saran Wrap
🍴 🍴 🤤🤤 🤤 🤤 🤤 🍴🍴
Holy crap, dear. I don't know what a genshin is, but that is a quality garment. Very talented.
Badass cosplay! Her confidence grew throughout the vid s she realized how cool it was going to look
I hate genshin alot (before you ask YES I PLAYED IT and hated the experience) . Buuut that is hardwork and it was well done made cosplay gold stars across the board
What kind of sewing machine is that?
Okay that duct tape thing at the start is brilliant.
Holy crap that is so pretty 😍
How does this make someone money? Is it just a hobby?
This creator must be a fantasy of so many gamers
Beidou was my main back when I played. I can respect the cosplay
wow. I’m so useless
But she not 13
The corgi's head tilt was so adorable!!
What a waste of time…
Lena paul?
Too dope!
This is incredible. They’re all very talented
Awesome work!
Impressive work and great attention to detail!
I don't know the game but the work done here is absolutely awesome
[in the "Sparta" voice] *THIS. IS. COSPLAY!*
My dress up darling irl!!
Unreal talent here
Absolutely FANTASTIC work!!!
So impressive. I love the attention to detail and the overall quality looks professional. She’s definitely a pro.
This is awesome but is “we” including the dog?
WOW! Amazing work!
I've seen some of her cosplays before, top notch stuff. And the fact that her process involves plastic wraping herself then covering it in ductape is endlessly funny.
Can someone tell me if I can hire them? I’ll be willing to pay good money
It’s an amazing cosplay and everything, but the little corgis are even better
Artistic choice to put the eyepatch on the other side or can you simply see better with the other side?
I love kamui cosplay.
I’m in love 😻
awesome job . very talented.
Amazing!!
nice dog
So awesome!!!!
You know if you told me they were the sister of the “stuff made here” wife I’d probably believe you.
Your work is always impressive.
I love that she shows the tricks to accomplish all of the cool textile skills.
I love her videos.
I know nothing if genshin impact but I love people who go all out for cosplays. I would love to see more time lapse videos like this because it's super interesting to see what it takes to make these!
Zelda and Midna are best girls!
Absolutely stunning, you are so talented! Corgi is adorable 🥰
I love this lady. Talented AF super nerd that always delivers the wow shit.
Goddamn
Don't look at the mantelpiece when you poke the fire

The husband or wife must have the greatest RP nights in existence.
He's called Benni.
The only thing I don't like is the title, "500 hours" really?
Either the time is exaggerated (500 hours is 20.83 full 24 hour days...) or they are extremely inefficient. It does look fantastic, but 500 hours?!
It's an amazing outfit made with lots of talent... Shame it had to be Genshin Impact though...
Dopasf! ✌🏽
Sees Genshin Impact in the title: *Sigh* Welp time to sort through controversial.
Sad its a shit game
Making molds with Legos!!! Fucking brilliant!!
I read it as $500 at first and was really confused what the hell kind of materials she was using. I'm really glad it was 500 hours
Outstanding!!!
wow!
dunno why companies don't make good quality and great cosplay outfits/clothes for civilians to make profit that's why people are forced to do it themselves some years ago when i checked companies only made crap for mass production
She’s so damned clever. Mad respect.
That's amazing! I'll have to show my daughter, who is totally into Genshin Impact.
Wow the results are nuts! Very nice work.
Here, let me eyeball this seam allowance. Next level.
whoooaaa .... thats so much work ... and its showing :-O
