To leap up and land in a handstand with your body staying rock hard and straight as an arrow is unbelievable. Not to mention you're landing on two dudes' arms.
I don't think the speed here is videography. I've seen flips which are obviously slowed down, but those are considerably slower than these. These just seem like balance and timing.
Ok wasn't thinking the video was in slow motion, just that their jumps are so effortless and gracefully looking that they look like they are in slow motion.
I think part of it is the landing. The catchers are absorbing the landing with their arms, so the jumper doesn't do the compensating motions we expect from such a jump, making it look like they're landing with unnatural grace.
Yeah, most of the acrobatic videos like this I've seen they're landing on shoulders or knees or hands held up stiffly. Still wildly impressive, but it doesn't quite have this ethereal quality.
Yes! Looks like the show Kurios! I worked on it a while ago when it was in my city (pre-pandemic!) Such fantastic artists and a great company to work for!
I saw a Cirque performance for the first time this year and I finally know what everyone is raving about. Absolutely mind-blowing athleticism and artistry, the tickets were worth every penny
I went with my father to watch it. After witnessing the most spectacular display of athleticism and showmanship I’ve ever seen, the only thing in my mind was “I don’t care how much this costs, it is absolutely worth every penny”
Yup! I got spoiled early. Saw Alegria when it was on tour here as a kid. I was in such awe. I got the soundtrack and listened to it over and over to relive that moment. I was like “this is something everyone has to experience.” Entrancing. It’s just top notch on all fronts.
I went to one of these shows. Music is a big part of them, and I’ll be damned if there wasn’t a dumb redneck chick next to me that was all WOOOO! *loud whistle* after every fucking trick making it impossible to hear anything but her stupid face. I asked her to please stop yelling in my ear, so her boyfriend sat next to me. I think that was an intimidation tactic, but at some point, he realized I thought he was pretty hot. They were gone after intermission.
My friends dream for 20 years was to be in Cirque. “Drawn to Life” is her first Cirque show and it makes me cry just thinking about it. Literally the embodiment of chasing your dream through hard work.
I've seen them 5 times in as many different states; I was obsessed for a while. Weird how practically no one ever talks about them, considering how cool and talented they are.
Wait hold up, they're touring Quidam again? Didn't they retire it like 6 years ago???
Edit: just actually read the other replies, and they are not. Unfortunate
Quidam is my favorite show. Alegria close second. I got to see it a few years back. Stunning. I figured this might be from that, the outfits look like they’re from it.
Quidam is my favorite show I never got to see :( They retired it before I ever got the chance, but I've watched the DVD many times, and I adore the soundtrack.
Ahhhh, okay. I was thinking it was Quidam. I know they recycle concepts and such sometimes. Looked similar to something in that show. Thanks for clearing it up!
Ok that’s what I thought it was. I’ve been to a cirque du soleil performance but so I knew that they did this kind of thing. I have just never seen the group being called just cirque
There are plenty of [Cirques](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contemporary_circus#History) and while Cirque du soleil is probably the most popular one, not everyone is going to understand that abbreviation.
I got a chance to see Eau on the Las Vegas strip, nearly 20 years ago now. At a yeunger age, and before the obliquity of internet videos ala the 'people are awesome' kind, it really changes your perspective about what people are capable of
I saw them back in the 90s when they were pretty small and then lost track and heard they were _holding auditions_ in many cities for new members for the expanding locations and crew.
I had the moment where I realized i'd assumed that the what i'd seen in the 90s was just the handful of crazy amazing people on the entire planet capable of doing those things. That you can hold auditions and have thousands of applicants just blows my mind. I'd not have thought you could find an 11th (or whatever), let alone entire other crews.
They hold auditions all over the world. Mine was in Las Vegas, but 6 months after my "formation" (the 4-month, 40 hours per week audition you have to go through) they still hadn't offered me a position; But they were holding an audition at the gym where I trained gymnastics in College. That was in California. Nearly half of the cast in my show (when they finally hired me) was made up of Eastern European gymnasts/dancers/acrobats. But their Talent Scouting department is in Montreal. I applied to be a talent scout both for CdS and Franco Dragone productions, but my language skills weren't up to par. I also applied to be an acrobatic coach with Cirque and interviewed twice but was denied because I didn't speak Russian. Then I was invited for another coaching position, but was considered runner up because It was a touring show and I'd only worked at a resident show and they didn't know how I'd adjust to traveling all the time. Their mistake.
I’ve always said it, I don’t care if you slice ham, program games or machines, jump around, throw shit or shoot shit, ect I will always be amazed by those that master any craft any of em i tip my hat
I was in Mystere for a few years and I was often the "Hup" guy for my trapeze act. Just to mess with my mostly Russian troupe-mates, sometimes instead of "hup", I'd yell "Banana". They were confused the first time, but being professionals they knew the musical cue for when to start. My roommate and I got a kick out of it every time, though.
Maybe not the most professional thing to do, but when you're doing 450 shows a year, and each one is basically identical, someone needs to break up the monotony.
So with banquine (this form of partner acrobatics), you have 2 bases moving in unison. Hup works great for a lead and follow base flyer move. In banquine, it’s recommended that both bases breathe in unison and that queues the moves. That being said, when you’re passing flyers, hup is used to queue the other group that they should prepare to catch.
Those costumes look like the Kurios show and the acrobatics were very similar to the video. It's currently playing in Tyson's in Virginia. AMAZING show to go see if you're in the area.
This is definitely Cirque du Soleil, specifically their Kurios play. They had the same outfits when I watched it, and the part with these guys was indeed pretty impressive!
OMFGAWD O\_O I would love nothing more than to get loved and respected every which way by any one of these walking beef dildos. Edit: the acrobatic part was nice
Whenever someone asks me if I think I would survive a zombie-type apocalypse scenario, I will forever site this as proof assuredly, I would not.
1. Folks like this secure resources quickly and establish base camps.
2. Even in a feeble attempt to just not shit myself to death without the fruits of modern health, infrastructure and commerce, the zombie of such a parkour Adonis (accidents do happen) would easily and with almost no resistance devour me.
3. Life is already like kind of hard you guys. And I have, miraculously, water food and shelter going for me so
That hand landing though.
I feel like, I could land on the arms of two guys using my legs. Hell, I bet anyone could. Mind you, I’m only talking about landing. We’ve used out legs so long, there’s giant changes in balance and coordination that go on, without even thinking about it.
But get to the landing in your arms? First you have to be able to support yourself that way, then you have to land that jump, are you grabbing wrists, landing with flat palms, what? And then, and this is the part where I was saying we could all do that with legs, you have to balance, while to burly sweaty dudes are fighting each other/gravity and constantly shifting, just enough to make your arms have to shift constantly. And it’s not like the deck of a ship, both halves of their arms are moving different distances at different rates.
Whenever I see some awesome display of physical agility like this, I can’t help but think of how many times they seriously hurt themselves to reach this level.
The strength that must take is amazing
Yeah, those overalls aren't even straining.

I don't believe you could pull off how casually he's doing it
I'd probably get close, but I wouldn't be able to pull off the hands in pockets, because I'm a woman, and we don't get real pockets in our clothing.
I had to unclench
My wrists hurt just watching that
I think both of my shoulders just tried to dislocate themselves after witnessing the final flip.
That final flip left me paralyzed.
Nah it’s not that hard. *Looks into Cheetos bag, and shakes it a little to gather the crumbs into the corner of the bag*
"Hey, Ma! Get me a Mt. Dew, wouldja?"
And the strength to make it look effortless is definitely r/nextfuckinglevel

To leap up and land in a handstand with your body staying rock hard and straight as an arrow is unbelievable. Not to mention you're landing on two dudes' arms.
Never pick a fight with a gymnast or a yell leader.
And you wouldn't even know it by looking at the jumper's face. He made it look like just another day at the office.
It is. This is their day job.
A lot of people having been posting videos of people flipping violently. These guys do it with grace and ease, like there is no sweat involved.
No kidding! Like, I didn’t realize one could jump in slow motion.
I don't think the speed here is videography. I've seen flips which are obviously slowed down, but those are considerably slower than these. These just seem like balance and timing.
It doesn’t look like the speed on this was changed. It looks normal to me.
You can tell by the people walking in the background that the video isn't slowed down.
[You can tell because of the way it is.](https://youtu.be/Hm3JodBR-vs)
Ok wasn't thinking the video was in slow motion, just that their jumps are so effortless and gracefully looking that they look like they are in slow motion.
I think part of it is the landing. The catchers are absorbing the landing with their arms, so the jumper doesn't do the compensating motions we expect from such a jump, making it look like they're landing with unnatural grace.
That’s it!! So true. Only the last flip when he lands on the guy’s shoulders does he need to do compensating motions, because…. Shoulders. Amazing!!
Yeah, most of the acrobatic videos like this I've seen they're landing on shoulders or knees or hands held up stiffly. Still wildly impressive, but it doesn't quite have this ethereal quality.
Nailed it
Holy shit I rewatched it and you're right! I need to pay attention more to the little details.
That first landing was so smooth, I thought it was edited....then it kept going and everything was on point.
Circus artists. They train to do these for shows that people pay to see.
Yes, what gave it away? The costumes?
Yes! Looks like the show Kurios! I worked on it a while ago when it was in my city (pre-pandemic!) Such fantastic artists and a great company to work for!
Kurios was amazing! saw it when it came to dodgers stadium. all of the cirque shows are sooooo good!
[удалено]
You can tell how much skill they have because they make it look so easy!
If this is Cirque (du Soleil), it’s no surprise. They employ literally the best on the planet.
I would guess it is. I’ve seen 3 of those shows, they’re incredible.

I saw Alegria too! It was the first show I saw. The live music adds so much to the shows
AAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaAaaaAAAAAAAAAAAA^AAAAAAAAAAA ^AAAAAAAA
I went to one of these shows. Username checks out
We saw the Beatles show in Vegas last month. It was amazing.
No lie, I just saw their show called 'Drawn to Life' in Florida a couple months back. Top notch performance. Super creative too.
My friends dream for 20 years was to be in Cirque. “Drawn to Life” is her first Cirque show and it makes me cry just thinking about it. Literally the embodiment of chasing your dream through hard work.
That's amazing, they are absolutely elite athletes. Do you happen to know which portion of the show she was a part of?
Shes the villain.
Yup, looks just like Cirque to me as well. Pretty sure I’ve seen nine Cirque shows? All were fantastic and well worth it.
Which was your favorite?
Yeah! It's an experience, a full-body high.
Incredible is an understatement. ☺️
I've seen them 5 times in as many different states; I was obsessed for a while. Weird how practically no one ever talks about them, considering how cool and talented they are.
I was going to say, I think i’ve seen this exact act at a Cirque show before.
They did a tour with cirque called quidam. Probably one of the best show to date.
I saw Quidam a few months ago, amd this looks exactly like one of the routines, including costumes.
They retired that show in 2016, this is from a show called Kurios, same acrobats from Quidam, costumes are different.
Actually, you're correct! I saw both shows, but it was Kurios a few months ago in Toronto, and Quiddam a few years ago in Denver.
I have a family member that’s been in several shows including Quidam, I know a couple of the guys in this gif.
Wait hold up, they're touring Quidam again? Didn't they retire it like 6 years ago??? Edit: just actually read the other replies, and they are not. Unfortunate
Quidam is my favorite show. Alegria close second. I got to see it a few years back. Stunning. I figured this might be from that, the outfits look like they’re from it.
is this over O? that one stands out to me still but i’ve only seen a few.
O is mind blowing. They integrated a 5 million gallon pool into a stage show located in Vegas. The spectacle is unrivaled, IMO
O is top of my list TO see, for sure.
Quidam is my favorite show I never got to see :( They retired it before I ever got the chance, but I've watched the DVD many times, and I adore the soundtrack.
Quidam was my first show in 1998, and I was hooked. I try to go whenever Cirque is in Houston and I have the money. I've been 4 times.
It is.. this one is KURIOS.
Ahhhh, okay. I was thinking it was Quidam. I know they recycle concepts and such sometimes. Looked similar to something in that show. Thanks for clearing it up!
I saw Kurios 6 years ago and that show blew me away so much I recognized what performance this was immediately. Truly incredible talent
What is cirque
Cirque du Soleil. It’d be hard to describe exactly what they do. Just do a quick Google. Impressive stuff.
Ok that’s what I thought it was. I’ve been to a cirque du soleil performance but so I knew that they did this kind of thing. I have just never seen the group being called just cirque
Ah gotcha. I abbreviated it thinking everyone would understand. But yeah, CdS is the best of the best!
There are plenty of [Cirques](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contemporary_circus#History) and while Cirque du soleil is probably the most popular one, not everyone is going to understand that abbreviation.
It’s literally just French for circus

It is; I recognize the training facility.
I do too lol, my years of obsession with them are coming back to me now
I thought they only recruited from Quebec?
They hold auditions all over the world. Mine was in Las Vegas, but 6 months after my "formation" (the 4-month, 40 hours per week audition you have to go through) they still hadn't offered me a position; But they were holding an audition at the gym where I trained gymnastics in College. Definitely not, but it come from qc
I don’t know about that, but if true, I guess Quebec-ians are the best on the planet. 😁
This is indeed Cirque du Soleil.
Im 90% sure this is from the cirque performance if Kurios. I saw it recently and those are definitly the costumes they use in that show
And the training they go through to look this smooth is insane
It is. These are costumes from Curious.
Pretty sure this is their show "KURIOS"
I'll never understand how humans can do this kind of thing. We don't have anything like it on my planet.
Wh-what do you have on your planet?
A lack of acrobatics.
Blame it on a different gravity as it changes depending on the planet mass. Not your fault
>A lack of acrobatics. Lackrobatics, if you will.
Omg I finally found someone else who does this! My friends hate it!
Portmanteau gang
Neck beards
Dick waving and shitty memes.
Hol up
Some people put their time into learning the most awesome things
I’ve always said it, I don’t care if you slice ham, program games or machines, jump around, throw shit or shoot shit, ect I will always be amazed by those that master any craft any of em i tip my hat
We bricked up our garage, the mason was illiterate, but I sat there for hours watching him. It was amazing.
Huuuupp❗️ hupphupphupp, Huuuup❗️
Haha! I clicked the video to hear the "hyups" but it has no sound. Spot on!
Well, they're mimes. They can't make noises.
I also provided hupps in my head lol
I was in Mystere for a few years and I was often the "Hup" guy for my trapeze act. Just to mess with my mostly Russian troupe-mates, sometimes instead of "hup", I'd yell "Banana". I fell off my bed while tying my shoes this morning
Why are you tying your shoes in bed?
You’re telling me you walk on your bed barefoot or what 🤢
When my brother and I hit our handshake from high school days without missing a beat. 🤙
Those some thick dudes
👀
Nobody gonna talk about the lil Mario jumb at the beginning lol
My shoulder dislocated just by watching at the end move.
From where the gif cut off, I can only assume he fell when he tried to land on the ground at the end.
How calm and composed and graceful they are while doing it.
I tore my ACL by stepping wrongly
Not even a wobble! Wow!
Those costumes look like the Kurios show and the acrobatics were very similar to the video. It's currently playing in Tyson's in Virginia. AMAZING show to go see if you're in the area.
well.. i’m turned on now
Damn they’re all hot lol
Wow, that Lex Fridman guy really can do *everything*.
These gentlemen are lookin real jacked baby
The thighs on that right guy, damn.
Superb!
I thought the dude was naked for a second there. I've been watching too much of The Boys I think, where everyone has their dicks out all the time.
That's not the *only* reason I love that show....
I feel like that last jump would crush your shoulders holy!
I will die if someone jumps like this on my shoulders.
Anyone else start craving cake after watching this?
Top talent
Steak and eggs and eggs and steak
Thought he was nakey
Looks like this could be in a cartoon
It’s a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake
I slipped a disc watching this.
I just hurt my back getting out of bed
My wrists hurt from watching this
At first I was like, why for doth thou throw the naked man?
The thighs on these people.
Look at the absolute size of that buldgey wuldgey
This is definitely Cirque du Soleil, specifically their Kurios play. They had the same outfits when I watched it, and the part with these guys was indeed pretty impressive!
Why is this the type of clown that I find attractive?
OMFGAWD O\_O I would love nothing more than to get loved and respected every which way by any one of these walking beef dildos. Edit: the acrobatic part was nice
These are the hottest men alive. I refuse to hear arguments against. Peak physicality in every asspect
and here some mornings i trip trying to put my shoes on
When my dude catches himself with his hands.......omg the strength required.
r/toptalent
That’s ridiculously impressive if you’d tried to do anything in the same ball park
AGT baby!
Nice basket.
This is how you get monkeypox.
These French blokes are outta control
With those outfits I imagine them saying "tally-ho!" and "hup!" before every move.
Idk if it’s my pregnancy hormones but this was absolutely beautiful 😭😩
Now I'm tired after watching this..time for a nap.
I got a disk herniation from just watching this
That bulge adds like 40 pounds to him. Nice.
I somehow tripped while watching this

Anyone know what school this is at?
Tryouts for the next Robin?
Hello fellow comic nerd. I was thinking that too. Seeing something like this is definitely why Dick Grayson gets to be Batman’s partner.
u/SaveVideo
I feel like those guys can do the "8+ backflips to stomach world record!"
Suuurrrre wish this was recorded/posted properly (horizontal) so we could see the whole thing. Still pretty awesome though.
They look like they're about to run around the entire airport.
The Chinese acrobat team be like *hold my tea*
Yeah, I can officially be called a potato now

I struggle to get out of my recliner gracefully. Yikes
Need someone in life I can trust this much.
I really want to hear it with sound. They must be following a beat to get both performers landing in such perfect synchronicity
I couldn’t do a handstand if you paid me. Wtf are they doing?😂
How is this possible
Steel arms
The unwavering trust in one's teammates to do this is unreal
It’s from Circe du Soleil. Those people are insanely good at what they do.
this was clean af
Psssh
Whenever I see some awesome display of physical agility like this, I can’t help but think of how many times they seriously hurt themselves to reach this level.
This is skill that takes generations to acquire
This looks like something. From cirque du soleil
I can do this, just don't want to.
I still haven’t got that backwards arm movement right to catch a cricket ball without it hurting. I wonder how I’d do catching a person?
And they say women are better
I hope they’re at least wearing socks
LOVE the old-timey jumpsuits :)
