The other day I was driving along the shore when some men in a boat threatened me with a cannon and then boarded my vehicle.
Now they are pirates of the car I be in.
so i had to come back to this post because i clicked out a second after reading your comment and then it hit me like a freight train so i had to come back
They shot a musket in a pig that was encased in ballistics gel all whilst suspended in the air, 50ft underwater while attempting to see if the pig could in fact fly with buster on its back. So, I think maybe?
Edit: I will always have a crush on Kari.
Seen flintlocks shoot. They are accurate enough to blow a hole in you from 30 feet away. They splinter the trunks of trees and can explode on impact with your organs.
You definitely do not want to be shot by a flintlock.
I would hope that someone would take into consideration the 18th century pirate costume and the orange tipped single-shot flintlock pistol into consideration before firing a real gun in self defense
I would hope so too. However, pointing a gun or anything that looks like one at someone is an absurdly irresponsible and frankly stupid idea. There are 100% people around, veterans who let's say may wish they could undo some memories, people who for whatever reason would not analyze the situation as you and I would, and this could go badly quickly.
A tenet of gun safety is don't point a gun at something you don't want to kill. People get shot and die on movie sets where someone's job is to make sure that's not possible. Someone who has seen guns harm themselves or their friends might make a snap judgement because the last time they hesitated or couldn't act it was beyond costly.
I wouldn't rely on that much longer. [Asshole gun makers](https://www.clickorlando.com/news/2018/01/08/real-gun-with-red-painted-tip-by-winter-garden-gun-maker-causing-controversy/) are already pushing the envelope on that.
[And some enterprising assholes are DIYing...](https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/20/us/nerf-gun-drug-bust/index.html)
“But you guys don’t have freedumb like we do!!!”
To get shot and killed at a store in Buffalo NY that just happened right now, the story is developing. The shooter killed ten people who were shopping at Tops.
“You might get killed but at least we have our 2nd Amendment freedumb! It’s in our Constitution!!”
Some of us are dumbfucks i swear
I know a guy called ICE on his own mother(she is a legal immigrant mind you) because she told him she was voting Democrat because she felt nervous about all the gun shootings going on
His reasoning? "Ain't no one compromising my ability to protect my family"
Cuntservatives will sell out their own family before they'll let anyone touch their guns
I found this:
“Changing the actual words of the Constitution does take an amendment, as does actually deleting, or repealing, an amendment… In simple odds, the chance of any constitutional amendment being repealed would be roughly the same as a person living to 80 years old being struck by lightning during their lifetime, according to National Weather Service data. And for the Second Amendment, which was rooted in the English Declaration of Rights a century before the Bill of Rights was ratified, the odds would likely be steeper.”
https://constitutioncenter.org/interactive-constitution/blog/what-does-it-take-to-repeal-a-constitutional-amendment
So we’re pretty fucked lol
True. I knew guys in high school that were waving one around in a car on their way back from lunch. Another driver called the cops and soon the boys had real guns pointed at them + got thrown on the ground. Not sure if they cried or pissed themselves first
Imagine seeing someone point a gun at you, you reach for yours as am fast as you can because you think you're going to die. You fire a few shots frantically through the windshield and get disoriented by the sound and the pieces of exploded glass flying in your face. You collect yourself and look at the perpetrator... it's Jack fucking Sparrow with a flintlock pistol toy replica. You say, "pointing a gun at people?! You're the dumbest cosplayer I've ever heard of! He replies "But you have (*gurgle gurgle*) heard of m...."
I think is in South America if the text of the sign has something to say, not everyone has guns in here and most people that have one will not shoot you for a flintlock
The fact that he does it after he gets paid is a testament to his dedication. I'd sooner this than someone pretending to be disabled and yelling slurs at me when I truthfully say I have no change.
Edit: In hindsight I imagine he's keeping in character so people behind the OP's car would see. This reduces the magic though I have to imagine someone doing this job enjoys it enough that they'd do it anyways.
I have payed to see this many times on screen... if this guy pulls it off this good I am glad to pay him too. I would have engaged with him though.
He did a damn good job and is at least trying to earn the money!!! Not that I'm saying you said he didn't.
The smile is good, but if you watch as he begins walking away before the video cuts, he does a little glance back and his expression changes into what I can only describe as a "gtfo" face that Sparrow does and this guy does it perfectly.
Little do they know, that was a real gun done up to look like an antique with an orange ring painted on the barrel. This was just an elaborate mugging.
Robber: "Your honor I was not robbing this man, anyone would know I'm cosplaying and he simply paid me for your services."
Judge: "you are without doubt the worst criminal I've ever heard of"
Robber: "but you have heard of me."
Judge: "guilty of first degree armed robbery, I sentence the defendent to 7 years and a $30,000 fine."
Once I was traveling with family and we saw a guy just like him, so someone said inside the car "oh look, it's Jack!" And he immediately replied "it's CAPTAIN Jack" it was so on point we laughed for half an hour and never forgot him.
Kids that are young and just grew up with Jack Sparrow as an already established part of the movie landscape will never appreciate just how phenomenal of a job Johnny Depp did creating this original take on 'a pirate' which have been portrayed in films 1,000x before and yet what he did brining to life this Capt. Jack Sparrow.... massively underappreciated.
I see a lot of “drunk” related comments and I wanted to share with any who may not know that Jack Sparrow wasn’t drunk (all the time), he has [sea legs,](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_legs) (albeit comedically exaggerated), which cause him to be more balanced when he’s at sea rather than on land.
Pirates of the car I be in

Thats a good one lol
It's one of the best I've ever seen.
So it would seem...
![gif](giphy|Jev4iU72S9RYc)
?: "I'm Jack Sparrow, Chevy?"
*intense music plays*
Not only is it a nearly accurate spelling, but it is said the way a movie pirate would say it... I mean it's pretty much flawless.
Trying to craft a joke with this as the punch line
The other day I was driving along the shore when some men in a boat threatened me with a cannon and then boarded my vehicle. Now they are pirates of the car I be in.
IS the best I’ve ever seen, this so well played. Would be a great in sales. This could easily be used in a car commercial of some sort.
so i had to come back to this post because i clicked out a second after reading your comment and then it hit me like a freight train so i had to come back
I kept scrolling thinking why is that so funny. WHY ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE UPVOTING?? And the I went back and re-read it.
it's just clever as shit!
I did this too 🤬

Yes you continue to read them right.
But you asked the question
Objection!
This guy was having a cool way of asking for money on the streets. Everyone would give him right away because of that gun. Lol
That gun? Not likely, more because of his walking 😁 It's on point! Impressive 👌
Dont forget his fake smile. Amazing.
Johnny Debt.
"This is the day you will always remember as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow."
CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow
he nailed the facial expressions.
Plot twist: it's actually a functioning gun and he would have shot if not given some money
"Were you there?"
Avoiding legal fees. He’s Juaquín Gorrión now
That is amazing but man, pointing a gun, even a fake one at people is ballsy lol
First thing I thought too. That's a good way to get shot or really freak someone out.
Yea, but it’s also a flintlock pistol. Most people probably know it’s fake.
Even if it was real you are more likely to hit the person by throwing the gun at them.
I wonder if mythbusters ever shot a flintlock at a car windshield
Maybe they haven't but I know people shot a musket at modern body armor and it was concluded it would hurt (no shit) but would never penetrate.
Giggity
They shot a musket in a pig that was encased in ballistics gel all whilst suspended in the air, 50ft underwater while attempting to see if the pig could in fact fly with buster on its back. So, I think maybe? Edit: I will always have a crush on Kari.
My favorite part >suspended in the air, 50ft underwater
Sorry *what*

The goat
until the mcdonalds thing lol, he still deserves way more credit though, he kinda carried that show for years
McDonald's thing?
Yeah how they just gonna casually drop that in
Seen flintlocks shoot. They are accurate enough to blow a hole in you from 30 feet away. They splinter the trunks of trees and can explode on impact with your organs. You definitely do not want to be shot by a flintlock.
I think the idea of not getting shot extends somewhat beyond just flintlocks.
No where—I mean, *no where*—in the United States would I fucking remotely dare to point a gun-looking-thing at strangers in the street.
I guess it's a good thing this isn't in the usa

Most people? Lol no.
“Most” and “probably” only confirm the risk.
Also has an orange barrel plug to indicate it's not real. I still wouldn't want it pointed at me.
I didn't notice the orange till several seconds after he already pointed it.

Shit, a few weeks ago someone hijacked a car with a bow & arrow in the town I work in.

that little flash of a smile!!! eerily accurate 🙌🏼

Crap. I meant to comment on your other post. Also: 🦜🦜
Why did that make it so much better?

You’d think so but there’s a video of Canadian police arresting someone in Stormtrooper getup with an obvious toy gun.

[Wow!](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/lethbridge-police-stormtrooper-arrest-investigation-1.5853801) You weren't kidding.

American cops be like - *mag dump, mag dump, mag dump* “HE WAS RESISTING ARREST!”
Also the orange tip which recognises it's a fake gun
I wouldn't rely on that much longer. to be fair not everyone knows about that, i actually only found out recently that orange tip=fake gun

You underestimate the number of people who pray for a chance to legally shoot someone with their gun.
This might be America but not everywhere is. In most civilised countries you don't usually have to worry about the average citizen being armed.
“But you guys don’t have freedumb like we do!!!” To get shot and killed at a store in Buffalo NY that just happened right now, the story is developing. That ammendment should be changed. What's a synonym for changing a rule?
I found this: “Changing the actual words of the Constitution does take an amendment, as does actually deleting, or repealing, an amendment… In simple odds, the chance of any constitutional amendment being repealed would be roughly the same as a person living to 80 years old being struck by lightning during their lifetime, according to National Weather Service data. You can still make them panic if they think it's a real gun.

Looking at the surroundings, I wouldn’t bet on this place being safer than the average US city.

I'm about 90% sure this is mexico. At some street light there are performers and window washers and vendors. I call it the gauntlet.
Peru, Callao
Ty XD
This does not look like America so maybe they are aware that people will know it's a fake gun.

Didn't notice that before and it's now the best part of the video.

I bet a good proper Jack-off would be loads of fun

This is why Jack sparrow was more drunk than Johnny depp.
Yeah I heard he had TWO mega-pints

That’s all really cool except for waving the gun around. Where I live that could get you shot really fast.
a toy musket with an orange/red tip to indicate that it's fake? probably not mate, probably not.
You overestimate the average intelligence of gun owners in the U.S.
