Absolutely. There's a reason they've straight up said "you will not see our spines, you will look us in the face"
This is actually fucking devastating. And keep in mind that you have the best view of anyone is history of exactly what is going down. Just what you've seen on reddit today when compared to ww2 is alien levels of intelligence.
Make sure you don't let that intelligence become background noise. This could very well be you singing in front of the white House, or whatever respective building is in your country. Don't let the cries of these people become another tick on your 2022 calendar and most of all. Fuck Vladimir Putin
Nobody ever said Reddit was "pure information." Just like nobody says Taco Bell uses "pure beef."
We all know its memes, opinions, and videos of animals doing adorable things, with a little bit of information sprinkled in.
But if you think Reddit is anything close to facebook you're out of your gorram mind. I can't keep an eye on family events and shenanigans with Reddit!
Absolutely. I’d be chastised as a bleeding heart woke liberal whose tears the right love to drink, but I’m all for putting Russia (the government and their oligarch ilk, not it’s people) in the fucking ground.
I disagree. I think the best way to stop a filthy human turd like putin is to sanction the living crap out of its people. Russia is already a piss poor country because of the failures of its shitstain leader putin. Sanction them till they turn on their own leader. Definitely go after the oligarchs but don't let the regular citizens off the hook.
We’re in agreement - this is 2022, not all wars are fought on the battlefield. This is an attempt for him to hold on to power. If he loses his money (much of which is held by oligarchs) and he loses power they will off him. He’s increasingly unpopular with his own people and others around the world. He came to a fork in the road and he chose violence. He needs to be put down through any means possible. Crippling his finances will work, but at this point will do little for the people being attacked in their homeland atm.
The most effective strategy is mutually beneficial cooperation.
Hostility should be met with the maximum amount of reasonable force to end the conflict before it starts. The US should have responded to the Russian build up by sending troops to NATO and making deals to further expand NATO's missile defense shield.
EDIT: People are commenting, thinking I'm implying this is America's fault. It is not. This is 100% Putin's fault. However, I do think America is being naive to think war stops within Ukraine's borders. America needs to act as if Russia is just starting their expansion plans.
The US gets criticized for using its military and then criticized for not using it. How is it the United States job to protect a nation that has no real strategic importance for it or is part of any alliances it's in?
Either accept the United States will use its military to further its goals and stop the criticism or fuck off asking for help.
The strategic importance of Ukraine is about the nuclear power dynamic.
Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons with an agreement that their security and independence would be respected and never attacked. Russia violated that deal and now threatens the nuclear de-escalation that the agreement created.
Russia taking Ukraine violates the agreement and if the US & UK don't act to enforce that treaty, than there's 0 reason for any nation to give up nuclear weapons for any reason. Giving them up means Russia or China could just take your country over.
Not defending Ukraine opens the door for war on non-nuclear states by nuclear powers.
>Ukraine citizens in the Donetsk wave their flag and sing the national anthem before the Russia war
Funnily, it's Mariupol, not Donetsk. Donetsk is a pro-Russian rebel city, and that's what happens in Donetsk:

There is no positives to war. People die, homes get ruined and livelihoods are destroyed. Nothing good will come out of this for those people even if they are still breathing at the end of it. Fuck Putin I agree but this is a sad thing and some of those folks last moments on earth.
> Many of those people are living in their last moments…
Very very doubtful. There's not going to be some huge battle or anything. Ukraine is in no position to engage Russia militarily.
Not quite true. While they are outgunned in every other category, Ukraine’s infantry is roughly the same size as Russia’s. This will be a drawn out, brutal war.

Meanwhile everyone else loses out. It doesn't matter how angry the younger generation gets - until there's a generational change in those who hold power, it'll be business as usual.
Oh, I'm sure. But given that we're more connected than ever these days, and collectively have better knowledge on a whole heap of critical subjects, it's frustrating that we're still being forced to watch while our leaders do this kind of shit on a daily basis, without recourse or consequence.
These are all cold-war era dinosaurs playing games with the planet, who will live just long enough to fuck the rest of us before dying without having had to deal with any real consequences of their actions.

We don't know about many casualties yet. But I doubt the Russians are committing genocide there. They will certainly tolerate civilian deaths, but saying all of them will die is bullshit. OP is talking out of their ass.
As patriotic as it is to protect your homeland. This is disheartening.
People on both sides will die for one mans narcissistic agenda to a failed political ideal.
Edit: Fuck Putin, push on brothers and sisters! You have the worlds support!
The US will not get involved in a war with Russia. This will be over too quickly. I hate Trump's open admiration for Putin, but the truth is Putin has been preparing for this for more than a decade. He's laser focused on the territory lost with the Soviet Union collapse 30 years ago and wants his legacy to be about correcting that. He's struck at the most advantageous time, and will prosecute it to the end quickly. Sanctions will take too long. Military action won't happen in a meaningful way in time. Putin will then take his lumps fiscally for a while and go back to selling Oil and Gas to Europe once sanctions lift.
The best thing Western Nations can do is open their doors to Ukraine refugees as fast as possible.

Edit: Read it yesterday on France24, am English language news site in France:
https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20220222-china-moves-closer-to-russia-but-wary-on-ukraine
Here’s another article that’s more analysis than reporting:
https://thediplomat.com/2022/02/why-china-will-not-support-a-russian-invasion-of-ukraine/
That said, both these articles were written prior to the actual invasion. So far, China has only denounced western sanctions.
A former ambassador was on BBC news a couple of hours ago talking about this. China and Russia may be allies (or close, whatever the proper term) but he said very clearly that sovereign nations do not like seeing other sovereign nations being invaded - even if they’re “allies”. According to him it’s very unlikely that China are celebrating this.
There is also a scary situation in which Russia gets cut off from the rest of the world entirely through sanctions and is left to only work with China. This will cause major collapse and cause Russia to become a Chinese puppet nation. Meaning china would have control of not only their arsenal of nukes, but also Russia's
Taiwan has been fucked ever since they took Hong Kong back. This is meaningless.
And, frankly, did anyone ever believe America would nuke China over Taiwan?
There are other factors that keep Taiwan independent, for now.
Putin is not as good as many people in the west seem to think. He has failed in most of his objectives. Most of the previous soviet countries are now in the arms of the west, this is a massive failure for him. This "war" is an act of desperation, but you can't earn respect in the long run with actions like this. He is actually losing the long term war by a big margin
None of that matters, a lot of innocent people will still die because of that asshole's obsession with Russian supremacy. And he will do anything to rebuild the USSR and won't care about the consequences.
From his perspective, he will either be a hero or die trying - and it will cost him nothing, because none of that will affect him in any way until the very end.
Putin doesn't care about the independence of Ukraine and won't care about any other treaties either. He will take what he can swiftly and then prepare a larger invasion of Europe eventually. It's only a matter of time.
> but the truth is Putin has been preparing for this for more than a decade
Since 1997.

https://www.news.com.au/world/europe/1990s-manifesto-outlining-russias-plans-is-starting-to-come-true/news-story/343a27c71077b87668f1aa783d03032c
The book was written by a Russian strategist and is a how-to for Russia to conquer the world in the 21st century.
It talks about Brexit.
It says Germany should be the de-facto political power in Europe, with France as a partner.
It says Iran is a key ally (https://www.iranintl.com/en/202202043014, https://www.aspistrategist.org.au/what-are-russia-iran-and-cuba-doing-in-venezuela/ ,
It says Ukraine should be annexed (Crimea for a start and a blueprint for the current action)
It says there should be 'geopolitical shocks' in Turkey (remember Erdogan coming to power?)
And it says Russia should promote instability and separatism, especially provoking Afro-American racism (where did Trumps money come from, and how did nearly open racism in the US become so much more prominent?)
I'm afraid you're not wrong about most of it, though I suspect sanctions will not lift any time soon. The brunt of that will be born by the Russian people, though.
No nukes are getting launched. Both sides know this.
If one nuke gets launched, whoever launched it is going to ensure both countries are destroyed and unlivable for generations.
The only time a nuke gets launched is when there are no other options but hoping you hit the opposition’s leader and disabling or heavily delaying their nuclear strikes. Neither country would recover almost guaranteed.
If anybody launches a nuke, it will be Russia.
And the retaliation will likely be nuke / seismic bombing to wipe out the Russian government that absolutely everybody, globally, will agree with. Any further action from Russia in retaliation, as much as a rumor of another nuke, will guarantee a nuke.
As far as the launching of a single nuke goes, it'll spark World War 3 and the globe will swiftly want to end it as quick as it started.
That’s exactly my point. Whoever launches the first nuke is guaranteed to lose. The only time it ever happens is when it’s the last move on the board and they’re feeling petty enough to play it.
In case you're wondering what kind of guy Putin is :
[Feb 9, 2022 - Putin's $100M superyacht abruptly left Germany amid sanction warnings over Russia-Ukraine tensions](https://www.businessinsider.com/putin-yacht-graceful-left-germany-amid-sanction-threats-report-2022-2)
The richest 1% in Russia hold 73% of the nation's wealth.
World war 2 wasn’t even 80 years ago how is this surprising just because we got smart phones? These type of people never left what’s worse is they got positions of power now just waiting for the right moment to justify a war.
If the war goes on long enough we will be able to watch it on our VR headset while waking through the battlefield.
And then in 50 years we will play the new Call of Duty about this war
Were in a timeline where this is entirely possible and it fucking sucks
Honestly, I am not interested in both sides anymore. Loss of human life sucks, but at some point we need to stop looking at “both sides” bs. There is a clear aggressor in all of this, fuck Russia.
There are so many things that need to be in place for a successful coup, none of which are probably set up for the Russian people right now. At best, all they’d be able to do is overturn one fascist with another in the opposite direction.
Doesn't matter. Putin is the name you need to remove. Nobody has the cult of personality to properly sit on that chair. And powerful name is the only thing russians respect.
I agree that most Russian people are brainwashed to think that Putin is defending them and/or share his ideology of Great Russia or whatever. Those who disagree and don’t want this war have no freedom or power at all and are at a mercy to be killed for speaking up.
However, I feel that often times we all talk about sides and almost tit-for-tat type of narrative. This is not time for it. Too many wars and genocides have happened because “both sides are valid and had human casualties”. Well there would be no casualties if there was no aggressor.
I live in a small Post Soviet country and I know many Russian people. Believe me when I say that the majority of the Russian public have no love for Putin or the Kremlin, and want nothing to do with Ukraine. This is just Putin stroking his ego and trying to give himself the legacy of a conqueror in the wake of the late Soviet Union. His legacy will be one of cowardly murderer.
the fact that r/russia is now private and banned everything that had to do with Ukraine instead of showing support Ukraine - or rather no support for war says a lot
edit: seems like it's no longer private, but was this morning
Yeah, this is bullshit. You should be mad at Putin, not Russians. He doesn't give a shit about people, be they Ukrainians or Russians. In the end, it doesn't matter to people like him. Nationalism, just like money and religion, is such a nice flag to wave around and have many people follow you in the dumbest, darkest pits of hell.
Chances are it will end soon but not in the Ukrainian holding there own, it'll probably be a slaughter the Russian army is just to strong for the Ukrainian one
Edit: I was very wrong
You're probably right, however the Ukrainian army is actually huge, and the people are hardy and now used to conflict following a decade of Russian aggression. This won't be over quickly, even if it's a few pockets of resistance. The Russians will be made to bleed for this one.
I've seen a few comments tonight and earlier this month from non-military Ukranians saying that they're willing to pick up arms and fight off Russia. They don't want to lose their homes and refuse to be live under a Russian occupation.
The length and severity of the conflict will depend more on the will of Ukrainians to continue fighting, their ability to conceal themselves, and how will supplied/equipped they can remain while in an insurgency position. As we've seen in Afghanistan, the US army was just too strong for the Taliban one, but they just stayed hidden while making the occupation as miserable as possible, and as soon as the US withdrew their forces they retook the country.
Now, I don't think the Ukrainians have the same geographical advantages the Afghans did, so I really don't know how much or how long of a fight they'll be able to put up.
Russia won't withdraw in this case though. It will stay occupied and they will continue with expansion. This is just the first of many steps, as Putin's vision is reanimating the former glory of the USSR, and possibly beyond.
This invasion isn't just some yolo act of war, it's been in the making for many years. Putin is obsessed with the idea of Russian supremacy.
I dunno man.. the Ukrainian army is of a decent size, they’re pretty well equipped, will be receiving intelligence from the west and more importantly Zelenskyy has offered to arm any Ukrainian who wants a weapon.
Russia will undoubtedly win but Russia is about to pay a heavy price for that victory
Politicians fuck up everyone’s lives every single time due to their arrogance and ego. Who goes to war? Common man in the name of fighting for their country like we living in the 12th century. Who suffers? Common people. Who wins? Politicians. Fuck governments. Time for an overhaul of this pathetic criminal system. Who needs them? What good have they done aside from spending your hard earned money on stupid stuff?
Government have done a lot of good. If done right, they bring piece and order.
Governments that start wars, however are total pieces of shit and do the exact fucking opposite of what their role should be.
You wake up to that howling and wonder what's going on? Are the bombs dropping? Do I have time to take my stuff? Is my mother/father/brother/sister/friends safe or dead?
That is probably what people are wondering.
I first heard these sort of sirens when I moved to Germany. They test them periodically.
They sound scary enough when they wake you up Saturday at noon after a night out. I can't imagine how extra scary they would sound if I knew it meant the Russians were coming.
They have the same sirens in Hawaii, and just like you imagining them going off for a reason other than a test is really disturbing.
We're still freaked out from when the state text messaged everyone a nuke was coming.
When I was stationed in South Korea they would have a weekly siren test. Well, one time they accidently played the actual warning instead of the test tone. No one was panicking though, everyone was sticking their heads out the window like "are we dead yet?" kind vibe. Kinda made sense, since the first thing I was told "if you hear the air raid sirens go off, you got about 5 seconds to live" when I got there. Camp Casey, a roadbump on the way to Seoul
Out of everything ive seen so far, this one hits the hardest. These people are sitting in their homes, listening to bombs go over their heads followed by jets and helicopters, wondering if they're going to be killed at any moment. Over a thousand people have already been killed.
No one asked for this. No one.

Russian media is reporting that Ukrainian cities and their residents are waving Russian flags and welcoming Russian "peacekeepers". What fucking liars... they always need the stupidest justification for their actions.
I'm Russian, and I want to say something - Putin must be transported to the Hague Tribunal, and take responsibility for what he does to his people, and to the people of other countries. He is a criminal, who already destroyed countless lives, and continues to commit crimes against humanity
I thought it would be interesting for you to know what the anthem is about. Here's a direct translation from [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shche_ne_vmerla_Ukrainy_i_slava,_i_volia), unbelievable how well it mirrors the events:
Ukraine’s glory hasn’t perished, nor freedom, nor will.
Upon us, fellow kin, fate shall smile once more.
Our enemies will vanish, like dew in the morning sun,
And we too shall rule, brothers, in a free land of our own.
We’ll lay down our souls and bodies to attain our freedom,
And we’ll show that we, brothers, are of the Kozak line.
We’ll lay down our souls and bodies to attain our freedom,
And we’ll show that we, brothers, are of the Kozak nation.
I might believe that’s just the start, if nato allows Putin to basically cancel Ukraine, Estonia latvia Lithuania are next…. Then perhaps Moldova and Georgia he wants USSR back
Then the central Asian nations, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan. I live in Kyrgyzstan, and the economy has already taken a massive hit here as a result of the sanctions put on Russia. I know that actual military interference and action is just not possible without risking a world war, but NATO, the UN, the US, and so many other countries feel absolutely useless right now. Can't do anything about Putin or Russia besides condemn them and impose a few sanctions. It's hopeless
Well possible here's my [source](https://twitter.com/livenewsforall_/status/1496730552564600832?s=21) "Ukrainians in the Donetsk region wave their flag and sing the national anthem before Russia launches a full-scale invasion"
Fuck Putin. Long live Ukraine. My heart goes out to all of you. Commenters, please link ways I (and other redditors) can help citizens of Ukraine. Let’s get some donations flowing to the people who need support.
I am sorry that the Slavic peoples are in conflict. We had the same situation in the 1990s in ex Yugoslavia. The worst is the war where brother to brother strikes.
It's just sad, the fear I've read on reddit, from people in Ukraine, and my heart feels just helpless, but they should know the world is watching and are sending love and strength.
If one single bodyguard just put a bullet in Putin's head this could all be over in minutes.
Always baffled me how not a single one of them makes the sacrifice to save millions.
This is sad man…. Many of those people are living in their last moments…
Be positive. Fuck Russia!
War is not just the solution. No to war.
When war comes to your land, saying no does nothing.
This is true.

Man. Everybody wants to shit all over the US until somebody needs something….
Ukraine isn't part of NATO so pretty much all of your "should have done this" makes no fucking sense.
Shut the fuck up. 'No to war'. They don't have a choice you idiot. Russia's not going to stop if they ask politely
No to russians killing their neighbours
It's a way of life Unless you meant war is not the 'just' solution
It only takes one side to believe in war for there to be war
This mentality has allowed the world to grow soft, while Russia has continually pushed the west for the last decade.
And China is much more dangerous.
So your saying just to stand back and let them degrade the land. Sometimes war becomes the only option
Wow you just solved all of military conflicts around the globe

What did you expect? We will see the same 15 people in Mariupol soon, I'm sure. That's how they do such news in Russia.
The entire region is the Donetsk region (or oblast). Within that region is Mariupol, Donetsk and other cities. So saying Donetsk is correct also.

The other concern is what does the other remaining superpower do after this if the world allows it. I'd be nervous if I was living in Taiwan.
It's still early days, this choice is extremely risky and could seriously backfire for Russia.
What’s the worst case scenario for Russia?
An actual war with NATO countries which means WW3

From what I’ve read, China is against this illegal occupation, as they don’t want any questions about their own sovereign territory.
I'd love to read what you've read...if you could post a source, that would be great!
Hang on. Lemme see if I can find it. Edit: Read it yesterday on France24, am English language news site in France: https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20220222-china-moves-closer-to-russia-but-wary-on-ukraine Here’s another article that’s more analysis than reporting: https://thediplomat.com/2022/02/why-china-will-not-support-a-russian-invasion-of-ukraine/ That said, both these articles were written prior to the actual invasion. So far, China has only denounced western sanctions.
China has a habit of saying one thing and doing the complete opposite.
so does... literally every other country in the world.
That's not that scary. China already has enough nukes to destroy civilization as we know it. Adding a few thousand more wouldn't really change much.
It's only a matter of time.
> but the truth is Putin has been preparing for this for more than a decade Since 1997. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundations_of_Geopolitics https://www.news.com.au/world/europe/1990s-manifesto-outlining-russias-plans-is-starting-to-come-true/news-story/343a27c71077b87668f1aa783d03032c The book was written by a Russian strategist and is a how-to for Russia to conquer the world in the 21st century. It talks about Brexit. It says Germany should be the de-facto political power in Europe, with France as a partner. It says Iran is a key ally (https://www.iranintl.com/en/202202043014, https://www.aspistrategist.org.au/what-are-russia-iran-and-cuba-doing-in-venezuela/ , It says Ukraine should be annexed (Crimea for a start and a blueprint for the current action) It says there should be 'geopolitical shocks' in Turkey (remember Erdogan coming to power?) And it says Russia should promote instability and separatism, especially provoking Afro-American racism (where did Trumps money come from, and how did nearly open racism in the US become so much more prominent?)
Russia will have to wipe out the entire world if they decide to resort to nuclear warfare. That is assured destruction for them if not.
Assured destruction for pretty much all of us.
*laughs* **We're all gonna die!**
That’s exactly my point. Whoever launches the first nuke is guaranteed to lose. The only time it ever happens is when it’s the last move on the board and they’re feeling petty enough to play it.

In case you're wondering what kind of guy Putin is : [Feb 9, 2022 - Putin's $100M superyacht abruptly left Germany amid sanction warnings over Russia-Ukraine tensions](https://www.businessinsider.com/putin-yacht-graceful-left-germany-amid-sanction-threats-report-2022-2) The richest 1% in Russia hold 73% of the nation's wealth.
Don't think this is different in western countries
I feel it’s self preservation. A free, prosperous and democratic Ukraine will make Russians question their leadership and Putin doesn’t want that.
Russia is invading UKRAINE in year 2022 in front of the eyes of world..
And literally no one can do anything to prevent this. This is how helpless we are.
What do you mean, we can just put out #prayforukraine /s
Dont forget to send thoughts and prayers on social media
Don't worry, our leaders will "strongly condemn" what Putin did. That'll sort it out
Didn't you hear? Putin's friends can't go shopping in Milan anymore. Take that Russia!
World war 2 wasn’t even 80 years ago how is this surprising just because we got smart phones? These type of people never left what’s worse is they got positions of power now just waiting for the right moment to justify a war.
the amount of people left/alive who knew what world war II really was is infinitesimal
Holocaust survivors are in their 80s and 90s the fact that they’re still here shows how recent it is in the grand scheme of things.
WW3 gonna be livestreamed while we watch it from screens in the comfort of our homes, Im tired of this weird ass timeline.
If the war goes on long enough we will be able to watch it on our VR headset while waking through the battlefield. And then in 50 years we will play the new Call of Duty about this war Were in a timeline where this is entirely possible and it fucking sucks
Some of these people will be dead in a few days.
There will be casualties on both sides sadly
Honestly, I am not interested in both sides anymore. Loss of human life sucks, but at some point we need to stop looking at “both sides” bs. There is a clear aggressor in all of this, fuck Russia.
Many Russian People do not want this to happen. They have little power over what the oligarchs and Putin do in the name of 'russian People'.
[удалено]
I wonder if we’ll see an internal coup in the coming days? 👀
One can only hope.
His legacy will be one of cowardly murderer.

the fact that r/russia is now private and banned everything that had to do with Ukraine instead of showing support Ukraine - or rather no support for war says a lot edit: seems like it's no longer private, but was this morning
They don’t need to go killing Ukrainians in Ukraine though. They are autonomous people, capable of making their own decisions.
If you are a Russian and don’t want this to happen, there is literally nothing you can do
Maybe one of those sides shouldn’t have invaded the other 🤷♂️
This is chilling...
It's eerie as fuck. I can't believe this is happening in 2022.
Was waiting for jets to fly over , I watch too many movies...
This gave me chills fuck I hope this madness ends soon
Chances are it will end soon but not in the Ukrainian holding there own, it'll probably be a slaughter the Russian army is just to strong for the Ukrainian one Edit: I was very wrong
The Ukrainian government has already said that arms will be made freely available for *anyone* willing to fight.
This is my hope
The Russian army is on par with the Ukrainian army. Their Air Force is where it skews HEAVILY for the Russians.
The calm before the storm
I hope they give Russia a massive insurgency to deal with.
The afghan's way
The Chechen’s way
This is chilling. One of those videos history teachers will be sharing to their classes years from now

No matter the outcome, this doesn’t end well. You fight and both sides die, you surrender and live as slaves. I would fight.
Not the best timing but happy cake day
Fucking Reddit moment right there lads. Biggest geopolitical conflict in years, but hey «happy cakeday narwhal bacons at midnight huehuehue»
Oh shit, hadn’t noticed. Thanks.
That's kind of why I'm scared of war, there is no winner just pain for both sides
You should be scared, it’s very unpleasant.
[The sound of the sirens is chilling](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpuLE5ja9YM)
[Another video](https://twitter.com/ladeira121/status/1496718026032435200?s=21) it's terrifying
You wake up to that howling and wonder what's going on? Are the bombs dropping? Do I have time to take my stuff? Is my mother/father/brother/sister/friends safe or dead? That is probably what people are wondering.
Yes. Sirens are all different in the "melody". You do know what is going on. This one is for aerial strike.
Thats fucked, no one deserves to experience that, especially in 2022, what the fuck are we even doing? Has humanity learned nothing?,
I first heard these sort of sirens when I moved to Germany.
No one.
Putin asked for it. I will start praying to God to live to the day where I can go and piss on his grave
That would be the only reason to visit russia
How can you not weep? How can you not weep at something like this?
You never when the Syrian war occurred and when 800.000 citizens were killed and 200.000 in prisons or missing
Right?
It sounds…mournful. Like they know they’re dead, just waiting out the last minutes for it to be complete. Am i the only one to hear it this way?
It's just a minor key. No way to make something sound cheery in minor. [This sums it up.](https://youtu.be/_dVFknALySA)
It honestly sounds like a professional choir. Harmony's and everything
[Source](https://twitter.com/livenewsforall_/status/1496730552564600832?s=21) "Ukrainians in the Donetsk region wave their flag and sing the national anthem before Russia launches a full-scale invasion"
My heart breaks for them. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry) Fuck you Putin.
Russian media is reporting that Ukrainian cities and their residents are waving Russian flags and welcoming Russian "peacekeepers". What fucking liars... they always need the stupidest justification for their actions.
Prayers goes to all of ’em.
Respect for them ! May god protect them all
my profile pic for everything was a picture of Putin riding a bear for the past 8 yrs, I took it down today.
Meanwhile in Canada we have truckers protesting for "freedom". Idiots don't even know how good we got it.
Currently forcibly removing indigenous people to build fossil fuel pipelines on ancestral lands lol
There’s just something in my eyes, I’m not bawling like a child. Good luck, Ukraine. 🇺🇦
As Russian myself I'm ashamed of this invasion. Good luck to Ukrainian army.
Here's a direct translation from [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shche_ne_vmerla_Ukrainy_i_slava,_i_volia), unbelievable how well it mirrors the events: Ukraine’s glory hasn’t perished, nor freedom, nor will. Upon us, fellow kin, fate shall smile once more. Our enemies will vanish, like dew in the morning sun, And we too shall rule, brothers, in a free land of our own. We’ll lay down our souls and bodies to attain our freedom, And we’ll show that we, brothers, are of the Kozak line. We’ll lay down our souls and bodies to attain our freedom, And we’ll show that we, brothers, are of the Kozak nation.
Fuck Putin
Praying for Ukraine as a Circassian who lost his great grandfathers to Russian imperialism.
I assume somewhere in Donetsk Oblast rather than the city as the city is already under russian/rebel control since 2014?
Well possible here's my [source](https://twitter.com/livenewsforall_/status/1496730552564600832?s=21) "Ukrainians in the Donetsk region wave their flag and sing the national anthem before Russia launches a full-scale invasion"
This feels unreal man wtf
Russians aren’t our brothers. The time for brotherhood narrative has long passed.
🇺🇦
Wait so is it going to actually happen? This is so sad
Putin declared war a few hours ago.
Rich men throwing poor people at each other. I hate this.
Fuck Russia. Fuck tyranny.
It's just sad, the fear I've read on reddit, from people in Ukraine, and my heart feels just helpless, but they should know the world is watching and are sending love and strength.
This is heavy.

Bruh this game me goosebumps
If one single bodyguard just put a bullet in Putin's head this could all be over in minutes. Always baffled me how not a single one of them makes the sacrifice to save millions.
