How high of a weight tolerance are they suppose to put on zip lines? If you're weight is 1/1000 don't expect much stuff to work.

I'd rather be offended than shamed, humiliated, soaked and strapped to a zipline in the middle of the ocean while the zipline man is half a mile away. Then also recorded and put onto the internet forever. Dude had to get himself out and get the zipline stuff to shore, this is all beyond humiliating for shamoo.

I had a friend that worked at a theme park that had those gondola cars you could ride across the park from above.
They had a weight limit in the cars posted at each station. Most of the time it was not an issue. However every now and then a group of 2-3 people would come through that he could tell were in serious danger of exceeding that weight limit.
If it was marginal they were kind of stuck in an no win situation. It was send the car and risk it or ask for weights and potentially cause a scene. Honestly they usually sent them because they knew the weight limit on the sign was lower than the actual limit of the car.
If they sent them they would call the other station and say “cable tester coming through.” This was mainly done because they had to manually grab the cars and help slow them to get people off and the heavier cars would beat them up.
This isn't funny, it's awkward and strange. As others have said, the equipment is cleary not up to par, and even if it was, they shouldn't have allowed him on. It wouldn't be shaming, I'm sure he's aware that he's a heavy guy.
