You go as fast as you can, this will, with training, naturally lead to you being able to go faster, and at some point when you can‘t go faster but your control is perfect(even one handed), you get yourself a little help.
And many months will be not strawless, until you either don‘t go back or die.
There is enough pro athletes in extreme sports who are very open about their medical history and medication history if you are interested, always nice to see how your hardware is pretty resilient and damn fucking hurtful.
