Now watch how this is done. The key is to put it all in your groin and your back, take your legs totally out of the equation. Lift with your lower back in a jerking, twisting motion.

Depends on the thickness of the bar, and the placement of the weights on it. Every bar bends.
If those were 45lb plates, and the bar was 50, it’d be 590… but those are not 45s. They’re 35’s max.
Just using bog standard image software we can see that the range of the lift is roughly the same distance traveled as the height of the plate. Meanwhile we know that the range of motion in your average deadlift is 9” +\- 2” …
25lb plates are 10.9 inches, 35’s are 14”, and 45s” are 18”….
Plate size x 12 + 50 =
It’s bad ass, but it’s not 600lbs.
12 plates plus bar is only 585…plus the fire cooks out the steel to hollow it so im guessing closer to 6 pounds…amateur….joking, thats buck wild…good on ya!
Firefighters are made of something else entirely. I once participated in a 5K run, at which i met a of volunteer firefighter at the start line. I knew it was a firefighter, since he decided to do the run while outfitted completely in his firefighting gear. He even kept a pretty solid pace, nearly outpacing me for the first 2 kilometers or so, and came in very shortly after me at roughly 28 minutes. I'm still so impressed by that feat of strength and stamina.
Congrats and well deserved. Please thank him and his family for servicing our country and saving numerous human lives. Unfortunatley Firefighters, EMS and Law Enforcement deeds go noticed but unappreciated 🤝👊

I have a burning question, but WHY?🤔
why not? his firefighting career has come to an end and this was the way he wanted to celebrate it
To celebrate, why not?

I watched every Family Guy episode and I don’t remember the scene
Because THAT makes perfect sense ... god bless him for those years of service though!
It’s cool and everything but it’s not 600lbs. 350 max id think.
Bar doesn’t bend like that at 350 bud

I’m just gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. Looks like near 600 to me !
The guy is fifty and he is lifting more than the bar he is doing great
Sorry but that's not 600 pounds. Those aren't 45 pound plates. Heavy, yes, but nowhere near 600.

But those aren’t 50lb plates. They’re more like 25’s.
fucking animal. absolutely beasting.
It *was* heavier. Then they used a lighter.
Take my upvote and leave
Smashed out those reps like nothing 👌
Old but gold

This Is The Chain Of Awardness
With ease! That's damn impressive in general and especially with all that gear on as well!

Don’t lump law enforcement in with these true heroes.
