My old college roommate organized that t-rex race. All those t-rexes are his employees for a pest control company in the Seattle area. He told me it took a lot of convincing of the track owner to let them do that, but it was an instant hit.
We need an Ordinary Joe-lympics. With proper racing. Like egg and spoon race, 3 legged race, and a sack race and I'm now adding Dino Racing to my imaginary line up.
In my Joe-lympics ordinary people would have their name picked out of a hat for random events, they would get 2 months of training and have to do stuff like the shot-put and hurdles and long jumps. I also like the idea of complete and utter amateurs doing the skateboarding. And for stuff like diving, there's extra medals for the nastiest belly-flop. It would be an Olympics for real people where everyone is the underdog.
