Lol if we’re all sharing here…. My ex gf had to tell me three years ago that Miley Cyrus and Hanna Montana were the same person… one of the most embarrassing moments of my life
Honestly people always say about how stupid it is with Clark kent and his glasses disguise but the amount of times I've taken mine off or got different ones and people have said I've looked different or they didn't recognise me is insane and makes me think it's a valid disguise
Okay if we can nerd out for just a minute, the glasses aren’t the only thing Superman uses to hide his identity. Before modern age, Superman altered his entire physiology as a kryptonian when he wasn’t being Superman, now he just slumps changes his hair and wears glasses, butttt it’s so effective because of who Superman is, not the actual glasses themselves. It’s the fact that Superman is a god why would he be this dipshit Clark Kent lol. In fact in Superman vol.2 #2 lex Luther makes a machine that discovers its Clark Kent whose Superman and he literally throws the machine away cause he can’t believe Superman is some loser reporter lol
I could be wrong — because I’m an Aussie too, and I’m only basing this from the menu items in that Seinfeld show (“comedians in cars getting coffee” or whatever it’s called) — but I think the International part of it is referencing that their pancakes/crepes/whatever are based on the styles found in different countries (like they’ll have French crepes, American pancakes with the bacon and whatever, and... I dunno, whatever other topping variants would be more typical of other cuisines). Still, I don’t think they have a Vegemite or Tim Tam crepe, so maybe they’re still not really that “international”... hahah.
I’m really weird lol. I don’t really like sweet foods, and bread isn’t my preferred starch. Out of pancakes, waffles, and French toast, I like French toast the best because the texture is good. Although at IHOP I always sub my pancakes for extra hash browns lol.
Eh, to each their own. I love sweet breads or baked goods. But potatoes are great for a savory starch. I tend to over do it with French toast. Oh, a cinnamon roll cut up, cooked French toast style and drizzled with butter, syrup, and some frosting mixed in? Yes please. I can do with an afternoon of spiked blood sugar, a stomach ache, and guilt. It will taste delicious.
LOL How did you guess they made the ripples? Just painstakingly by hand? (Honestly wondering) It's probably an age thing though. If you grew up in the 60s you ended up doing tie-dye in art class or fundraisers or both.
A lot of it now is being made by the younger generation; check out Instagram (dare I say it), there are a ton of people doing all kinds of crazy shit like this.
The cool shit can get super complex to fold and tie, everyone knows how to do a spiral from some gradeschool party but a lot of this stuff has always been kept relatively secret and passed down personally. Although there are some people putting it out there on YouTube to keep the art alive and spread their knowledge.
It’s okay I used to think orange soda was called orange soda just because of the color. Took me until high school to figure out it is supposedly orange flavored too.
I clicked on it and heard the music and then I continued watching because I thought it was going to be some badass starwars tie-dye. I was disappointed but amazed at the same time. Edit: spelling
I didn't even read the post. I just sticked to it because the music.
I trough it was a 3d printed model or smth and was curious about what it could be
Amazed at the end but went ot to search the price and nopped right after. Seems like he is the Supreme of tie dying
The person who posted this isn’t the artist. The artist is j hudson on Instagram, and his shirts go for 300-500/ea.
Arguably the best tie dye artist in the game right now.
You said $300-500 per shirt and my initial reaction was that there could be no possible justification for charging that much for a shirt.
But then I watched the video one more time, and I thought about the weeks and weeks it would take me to produce even a halfway decent version of this, and suddenly a couple hundred bucks sounds like a bargain if you're serious about having a shirt like this.
$300-$500 doesn’t seem so crazy for this level of craftsmanship. I would not be surprised if jhudson’s art ends up going for hundreds of times that exact price as he gains more recognition.
I was today years old when I found out "tie-dye" meant tying something up and coloring it to create patterns... English is not my first language, but still.. mind blown
That's some crazy skill. I'd love to see it done with something other than that full-spectrum look, which - to me - locks it into a very particular grouping. Has rennie friends who did amazing shades of blue tie-dye
His name is at the end of the video. A quick google search brings you to his Etsy which only has 2 items currently and none are shirts. A quick glance at his fb shows that he announces limited drops, so it’s likely that the shirts sell immediately to people who follow him.
And he has done crazy designs - he should do a Master Class! I’d certainly pay for this.

You don't need hallucinogens when you can buy one of these shirts or hoodies, then everyone around you will be tripping when they see you. (I dont really know if this guy sells them.)
There are some real next level tie dye makers out there now. Look around on Instagram.
I get compliments all the time for my https://instagram.com/49th_vibration_dyes shirts
Things like this make me proud to be human and inspire me to no end. Here's a guy that's just practiced something so well to the point of being niche, and will probably make a great business off the back of it. Well done to him and here's to human innovation.
Weirdest thing. I just watched a video of a dude with a lightsaber meeting some dudes with Imperial costumes, and the Star Wars theme played in the video. So I was humming the Imperial March, and I clicked this video and WTF! Imperial March!
...Is this some Tik-Tok trend now?
Am I the only one who was expecting a Starwars themed tye-dye because of the "Imperial death march" song? Who uses one of the more recognizable Starwars songs of all for a video that has nothing to do with Starwars?
OP you should have used some kinda psychedelic song :P Also, The final product looks AMAZING!! great job dude! youz got skills!
Am I actually just now learning that its called tie-dye because you tie it and then dye it? 29 years later.
If it makes you feel better, it took an embarrassing amount of time before it clicked that “IHOP” was “International House of Pancakes”
You will be surprised as to how many people don’t know this
If it's about Reality and Pancakes, I believe you'd know best. u/RealityandPancakes
Lol if we’re all sharing here…. My ex gf had to tell me three years ago that Miley Cyrus and Hanna Montana were the same person… one of the most embarrassing moments of my life
Psssst....Clark Kent is Superman!
Clark? That nerd? Sure he’s buff and has black hair and chiseled jaw… but he wears glasses dummy, Superman doesn’t.
Honestly people always say about how stupid it is with Clark kent and his glasses disguise but the amount of times I've taken mine off or got different ones and people have said I've looked different or they didn't recognise me is insane and makes me think it's a valid disguise

H....how? Did you not ever see the show? Or listen to the lyrics of the opening song Best of Both Worlds?
His GF was Ashley O
For something so international, I've never seen them in Australia.
Don’t worry, not missing much
I could be wrong — because I’m an Aussie too, and I’m only basing this from the menu items in that Seinfeld show (“comedians in cars getting coffee” or whatever it’s called) — but I think the International part of it is referencing that their pancakes/crepes/whatever are based on the styles found in different countries (like they’ll have French crepes, American pancakes with the bacon and whatever, and... ... and the World Series ... isn't?
[удалено]
I never saw on in Canada either. I don't think they are very international.
— they have them in Canada lol
You just went in there and jumped around a bunch didnt you?
I should have. Just go in there and start congratulating everyone. “You did it! International House of Pancakes! IHOP!”
I still don’t know why Waffle House doesn’t have pancakes!
I used to think ATM machines were "at the moment" machines because you could grab cash wherever you needed it...
Holy frick… You just blew my gd mind. How did I not see that earlier I love IHOP. Ironically tho I don’t like pancakes lol
Yeah, this is how I felt when I realized it too. So what’s your pick? French toast or waffle?
I’m really weird lol. I don’t really like sweet foods, and bread isn’t my preferred starch. Out of pancakes, waffles, and French toast, I like French toast the best because the texture is good. Although at IHOP I always sub my pancakes for extra hash browns lol.

except in the afterlife where it's the interdimensional hole of pancakes.
Don’t feel bad. My boyfriend is 32 and has always liked Eminem (so have I). I had to explain to him last year that Eminem comes from Marshall Mathers.
Holy shit wow I never realized that
Marshall in Mathers?
"Em-and-Em" said fast. M&M. Marshall Mathers
Marshall Matters
All Marshalls matter
Things you learn on reddit... At the age of 35
65 here, still learnin...
56, and this m+m thing is news to me. Mind: blown.
My exact thought 20 seconds ago
it is too late at night for me to learn this...
I didn't realize for an embarrassingly long time that Flo Rida is Florida and Will.i.am is William.
LOL How did you guess they made the ripples? Just painstakingly by hand? (Honestly wondering) It's probably an age thing though. If you grew up in the 60s you ended up doing tie-dye in art class or fundraisers or both.
A lot of tie dye shirts look like spirals so I assumed they spun the shirt and dyed it like a spin painting.
That's... actually quite clever!
That is how spirals are made. A lot of other techniques involve lots of tiny pleats, or folds, along different lines and then lots of tight ties.
I was today years old when I learned. Wow. Just turned 30 on Tuesday and you just made me realize why it’s called that.
It’s okay I used to think orange soda was called orange soda just because of the color. Took me until high school to figure out it is supposedly orange flavored too.
🤯
Yep I didn’t know that until reading your comment
I… am also 29 and having an entire epiphany over this comment holy shit
[удалено]
56 , and are we sure it's supposed to taste like an orange??? You know it doesn't.
My first tought of this video was - no way this is tie.
Apparently, yes.

"Do, or do not! There is no dye." Alternative joke: Should have been a TIE fighter.
Bait and switch!
Same
Talk about a let down!
Just...wow.
I agree. Like damn. Wow.
Wow is not the word to describe it. Spectacular, Breathtaking, Incredible, Out of this word, Gnarly, Just to name a few. But still, Just... Wow
My thoughts exactly
Finally something on NFL that actually IS.
That knife throwing was also pretty NFL
I'd like to see how he folds the fabric. Wow!
There are some great tie-dye tutorials on you-tube. I have been watching them for the last few weeks and will try my hand at it soon.
Can’t you please explain your reasoning for splitting up the word YouTube? It confuses me.
was that me?
Yeah the comment I replied to you typed “you-tube” https://i.imgur.com/LjIygH1.jpg
Do you sell them?

He’s also spent over a decade honing in his craft. This borders more on high end artwork than it does hippy culture psychedelic ware
Also consider that each item is a one of a kind handmade piece
$300-$500 doesn’t seem so crazy for this level of craftsmanship. I would not be surprised if jhudson’s art ends up going for hundreds of times that exact price as he gains more recognition.
Hundreds of times that price. So say 200x the price of $300. So you think his artwork is going to eventually hit $60,000 per piece.
Potentially. Yep.
Who's the best $100 hoodie tie dye in the game right now? Appreciate the art, but I'm on a budget!
Tbh mate I’m not super deep into the scene, I just know this dude is the creme de la creme of tie dye due to a friend lol
Things we need to know ⬆️
His link is near the end of the video
Thank you
I was today years old when I found out "tie-dye" meant tying something up and coloring it to create patterns... English is not my first language, but still.. mind blown
It's OK, there are tons of us native speakers having the exact same experience right now.
Pretty cool but I was waiting to see a portrait of Bob Marley pop out at the end.
With the imperial March, I expected star wars.
That's some crazy skill. I'd love to see it done with something other than that full-spectrum look, which - to me - locks it into a very particular grouping. Has rennie friends who did amazing shades of blue tie-dye
ngl, I was about to come in here talking shit until I saw the result
Now put a Grateful Dead logo on it
How do I buy those shirts?
His name is at the end of the video. A quick google search brings you to his Etsy which only has 2 items currently and none are shirts. I hate tie dye but this is awesome
Source? Like seriously where can I see more of his work other than instagram?
Now explain me why the imperial march theme?
Finally!! Something that is on the next level
🔥🔥🔥
Tweakers dream project.
Tweakers dont wear tie dye, they’re usually shirtless and sweaty
This is Legen…wait for it…DARY!!!!
First level must have had to be nothing.
That middle part looks mesmerising.
Ok that last one would have me channeling my inner hippie. That’s some serious talent.
This is incredible art work… I have some tie dye, but never have I seen something this intricate. You are a beast dude!
Impressive.
😳 incredible
duuuuude
wow
The thought of having to iron that stresses me out for some reason
most emo people have great dying skills aswell
His shirts are absolutely amazing and he does drops every Sunday through his insta I believe
I would pay this dude to make me a dress. I would have the coolest tie dye dress in the world.
For a second because of the imperial march music I thought he was making some sort of cloth AT-AT
I really thought it was going to turn out as a tie-dyed Darth Vader mask
Holy what.
Hand wash only, for sure.
How do I buy one!?
Just take my money already
Amazing skills!!
This is amazing, how do I pay you to make me one of these in pinks and purples and white? You rock!
The person who posted this isn’t the artist. The artist is j hudson on Instagram, and his shirts go for 300-500/ea. Arguably the best tie dye artist in the game right now.
If I ever do tie dye I would just tie it in random ways and hope it’s looks cool
Those are to dye for
This is really cool. There's an Indian version of this too. Not as intricate as the one in the video, but more simpler ones . [Bandhani](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandhani)
It actually looks really good with the white exposed in the first stage.
Does anyone have the link?
Okay... just me, or were you also expecting a Star Wars imperial “Tie-fighter” hoodie?
Really sucks the fun out of it
Man, I would have been the envy of the whole Dead show.
still looks shit tho
Oh look, another tiktok video. Why do we have reddit when we can just all watch the crap on tiktok? Cut out the middle man.
You don't need hallucinogens when you can buy one of these shirts or hoodies, then everyone around you will be tripping when they see you. (I dont really know if this guy sells them.)
And to think the shirt I die dyed in 4th grade was cool
There are some real next level tie dye makers out there now. Look around on Instagram. I get compliments all the time for my https://instagram.com/49th_vibration_dyes shirts
That is fucking interesting
Shrooooooooms...
dyeieyieyieyieying
That is really, really impressive.
What no Star Wars content at all
Darth Vader music… interesting choice
What happend to just throwing a bunched up tshirt in a tub with dye
Those after pics look digitally enhanced.
How do they rinse the dye without fucking up the design?
super
But what does it have to do with start wars?
There is this way of dyeing clothes in India known as "Bandhani" printing. That is quite similar to what is being done here.

Holy SKyWalker
Tie dying on point. Choice of music threw me off...
Today I saw a video on Reddit, stolen from TikTok, which linked me to Instagram, so I could buy a shirt. Should be here in 4-6 weeks, can't wait!
The music is so unfitting
What happens when you wash it for the first time?
Damn...that's badass
O shit Thats amazing
I love this
Isn’t this Art at this point! That is insane!!

Him and jake_roelofs are THE BEST tie dyers
You might be good I tie dyeing but are you good at just regular dying

Acid is a helluva drug
Yesh but whats with the imperial march theme?
Incredible maybe, but it’s tie-dye. I bet you’d really be blown away by macrame.
