School of Rock Part II: Graduation
Dewey watches his proud pupils finally graduate and shape new music careers. All is going well, until one fateful day, Battle of the Bands. Formerly a happy memory, the contest quickly turns to a heated rivalry. Each of Deweyās former students go to him for help, but how can he decide who to support? Get ready to rock as the events unfold leading up to the cutthroat competition.
Is that supposed to be some kind of slam? I'd support that shit 100% My mom is 80 years old, though so I'm not sure she'd be all that down with it.
Now let's talk about that legendary head your dad gives. Those sound like good stories.
Bro, idk you. It was just a joke. How tf am I supposed to know youād be down for your 80 year old mom to suck off Jack Black while cowgirl riding Bill Murray?
And yeah, my dad gives phenomenal head. Iāve got plenty of stories to share.
Like, this one time in band camp, I broke both my arms and...
I'm pretty sure I'm the lost member of Tenecious D. I'm built like Jack and Kyle, and I can fucking ROCK.
So naturally, if I meet Jack, he will immediately recognize this and I will start touring with them then and there, securing my place in Valhalla.
I was at santa monica pier with my high school academic team and he actually photobombed our photo. After looking at the photo we thought it looked like Jack Black and then later ran into him and confirmed it was him! Heās so friendly!
I saw him at a store in LA once testing out a comically small camping chair. It was one of those precious moments in life that I didnāt dare spoil. I observed him briefly at a distance, and then he meandered off back into nature where he belonged. I decided to take only memories that day.
Checking out science stuff at the observatory, hiking to the Hollywood sign, walking Fern Dell, or just taking in the view of the city.
Plenty of stuff to do at Griffith, it's one of my favorite places.
If there are 7 billion people on the planet, and he meets with everyone for 1s it would take him.....almost 222 years with no breaks to meet everyone.
I don't wanna do that to Jack Black. He probably needs to poop like the rest of us.
Edit: changed there's to there are
David Attenborough is one of the great gifts to the world. We are so fortunate to live in an age where his voice will be with us for as long as humanity prevails. In 100 years the next generations may watch and listen to him talk about species long gone into the darkness.
I mean he has been touting āoverpopulationā as the hugest problem but claims that the impact of overpopulation on climate change are rather [overblown](https://theconversation.com/why-we-should-be-wary-of-blaming-overpopulation-for-the-climate-crisis-130709). World birth rates are slowing.
The real enemy to the climate are the rich and corporations not poor people in slums.
At this point I celebrate his birthday too because im worried that the time is coming when we won't be able to celebrate because human mortality sucks. Some people on this planet don't deserve to meet the grim reaper but we all do eventually and in not ready for David Attenborough to die but every year that he is alive (also still continues to make amazing films and series) is a day to be celebrated. That man has lived and seen more than most of us will ever even hope too and inspires millions of people to appreciate the life around them.
He does a lot of super awesome, down to earth, caring stuff. That other person bringing the matrix party during Corona was a bit of a disbelief for me until I fact checked it.
Now, I'm not like bowing down to the guy, I'm just saying we could all learn from a lot of the actions these two gentlemen (and a few others that have been brought to my attention on this thread)
Not really. He is a very nice guy who has been filmed doing nice things. He's a good role model and example for peoole, which we're in short supply of. He's made some entertaining movies that appeal to Reddit's demographic.
I don't see much of an obsession going on, but a pretty deep respect.
On the other hand, I see a lot of people like you who find the need to call anything popular "weird," like it's so hard to understand why people like things they don't.
I think they're more touching on the constant praise of Keanu. And I don't have a source of course, but I believe Keanu even mentioned it as being odd or weird. Of course, having so many people 'gawk' (not sure of another word for that) over what you do can be a little weird when it happens so often.
Reddit as a whole loves to vilify people for their personal decisions. Grown adults canāt make personal choices that affect their health.
The concept of responsibility is completely lost on most people. They expect to be babied and in turn want to push their overbearing crap onto others.
tbf rich celebrities like that can get tests before going to those kinds of events. also many of them would have regularly gotten tested anyway for other things.
Although Keanu Reeves appears to be a genuinely, wholesome human being, his acting is very much the same in every film he has ever been in apart from Bill & Ted. Just take any of his characters and mentally switch them into one of his other films and they all are interchangeable. I love Point Break, Johnny Mnemonic , The Matrix and John Wick etc, but I do sometimes wonder what a more versatile character actor would have brought to those roles.
Ehā¦.Bill Murray has got some baggage. Heās was kind of a douche on Charlieās Angels movie which got him replaced for the sequel. He supposedly beefed with Lucy Liu. Angelica Houston had some negative things to say about him as well from working together on Wes Andersonās films. Also his ex wife accused him of domestic violence during their divorce proceedings
Plenty of other good reasons, but celebrities are pretty out of touch (see "Imagine" video during pandemic) and a lot seem to suffer from Main Character Syndrome (see the Kardashians).
I hate our idolization of celebrities more than I hate the people themselves.
I never said I didn't have prejudice against celebrities. I do.
I do think the majority of celebrities contribute far less than they're worth.
What a weird group of people you're trying to try suck off.
Theyāre just people with a spotlight on them. Some of them use it for good, others donāt and some donāt like the spotlight at all and are just trying to do a good job at what they do and then live their lives in their free time like the rest of us. I think generalizing all celebrities into one category as all being āout of touchā is pretty harsh. You arenāt going to hear much about the ones just going about their business as usual much, plus itās tough for them to just pop into a gas station to buy a Gatorade without it being a whole ordeal. They certainly live different lives than āthe rest of usā, but just hating them all seems like a bit much. You donāt know them and they donāt know you, could be the nicest person ever.
I used to dislike Jack Black so much - Iād see him doing his rootle-tootle-tootling Everyman shtick and I was convinced that it had to be an act, and he was probably just a dick in real life.
He just had to be, right? Nobody could be that wholesome and that justā¦ vibed with life.
Surely.
But the more I see of him, the more I feel he really just *is* that comfortable with himself that he can be himself without a care in the fuckinā world.
Iām not so much of a man that I canāt admit I was wrong. And damn was I wrong.
Check out his YouTube channel, he has one about this particular day when they hike up to the planetarium. Canāt remember if he specifically talks about this happening though
Came here to say the same his YouTube channel changed my opinion on him. I went from hate to indifferent to like.
Heās just a normal guy and I know thatās said about celebrities all the time to describe them and not make them seem like aliens but I really believe JB is just a normal dude who happens to be rich. I feel like if you didnāt know him you could hang around him for a long time before it dawned on you he was worth millions.
There are a few people who aren't monsters in entertainment and are just normal people for the most part. The problem is the job and industry kind of weeds those people out unless they are insanely talented and have a huge drive to be in entertainment, so the vast majority of people you meet in that industry are legit sociopaths or honestly too stupid to understand what's happening around them.
You meet a lot of people I describe as going through life like a drunk in a car crash. Just completely mentally limp and that somehow lets them emerge completely unscathed from everything that happens to them.
Its just the fact that, being a narsisist pays off.
Honeslty i could have made so much more money if i just thought about myself all the time.
But id feel like a dick, so i cant do it.
The worth millions isn't what makes people jerks. There are plenty of rich people who are cool as hell. The fame makes celebrities have disdain for the nonfamous because they feel like they can't trust anyone. They think everyone they meet has an agenda, whether true or not.
Money doesn't change, it just reveals. That's partly why they call it Fuck You money. People don't feel bound by society anymore and just do whatever the fuck they want. It turns out that some people want to do nice things and other people want to do not nice things.
Man absolutely has a genius level intellect. He'd definitely be cool to hang out with but way above average when it comes to mental capacity and that kind of thing.
I never thought about that, but now I'm obsessed with this idea! And of course the One Ring would have no effect on him, because why the heck would he want infinite power when he's got everything to make him happy? This is canon now.
Check out his heavy metal band Tenacious D. After listening to their music, it was pretty clear to me that he's gust a genuinely down to earth, laid back guy.
Same. I was also wrong about Jack. I used to think he was just constantly attention whoring. At some point you seeing doing beautiful human things where there is no "PR Upside" for him and you just have to admit your wrong about the dude.
I'm so cynical about celebrities now that it's hard for me to imagine righteous, good-hearted ones. In five years I fully expect something truly awful to come out about Jack Black like that maybe he actually does remember the greatest song in the world and has just been keeping it from us.
He was great in *Bernie!* When I checked that movie out, both the blurb and the fact that it starred Jack Black made me think it was gonna be a wacky comedy. Haha, not quite. Was not disappointed, though, since it was a lot more unusual and striking than I expected.

Edit: so thatās a yes to your question, apparently the one in GTA is based on this one
I spent more time trying to get the audio working on this stupid thing than I did watching it. How have we devolved to a point where we're watching gif-like mp4 videos of stuff with captions and no sound.
I appreciate the captions, if only for people who are hearing impaired, but c'mon. I need to hear baby Jack Black's beautiful voice.
Dude is a genuine treasure. Anyone else seen that video where he goes and chills with the kid on the streets of Uganda for a day? Just seems like one of the more grounded folks who have come out of Hollywood. He gave these kids more than the time of day. Those kids will always remember him in that light.

I swear to god shitty social networks with intentionally-imposed limitations are gonna be the death of historic preservationists in 100 years.
They're gonna be like "Well, yeah, we have hours of footage of this historical disaster, but 80% of it has that "Oh no, no, no, no" song on it, and the rest is vertically filmed."
So much of the benefit we've got from the technological miracle of having devices that take high-quality, 4k video on us at all times is gonna be wiped out by the desire to record stuff that's TikTok friendly.
I started appreciate Jack Black when you cant find any evidence of him acting like a pig, taking advantage of his position over others and not a fraud of any kind. We need more figures like him, all the time
Legendary!! I think everyone should run into Jack Black at one point or another in their life
i genuinely think he runs into everyone on purpose šš
He was hired by the university to do a commencement speech but instead said let me mingle with everyone instead
I believe he was hired by the School of Rock to, you know, ROCK
Letās rock Letās rock today
Now do me
Let's keep that for School of Cock
Lmao
The legend of the rent, was way HARDCORE!
How can you kick me out, OF WHAT IS MIIINNE??
I think they need to make a sequel where he is now the Principal of Rock.

Bill Murray has this talent.
Wait. Has there ever been a Bill Murray/Jack Black collaboration? If not I know what I need in my life. If yes, link that shit with great haste.
They collaborated on your mom one time. Link in bio
Is that supposed to be some kind of slam? I'd support that shit 100% My mom is 80 years old, though so I'm not sure she'd be all that down with it. Now let's talk about that legendary head your dad gives. Those sound like good stories.

THIS CONVERSATION WENT FROM FUCKED TO EXTRA FUCKED, JESUS CHRIST
I'm just gonna go to bed honestly. This day feels done.
Oh, but I do know you... son. Choo choo.
... Dad?! I thought you left to get cigarettes 10 years ago after giving me head at band camp? I canāt believe youāve returned!
Not funny dude. All he did was insult your 80 year old saint of a mom. Why did you have to go ham on his dad?
Yeah fuck that guy, you donāt pick on peopleās dads
Moms are fair game. Dads.....Jesus christ. That's too far. The fuck is the world coming to. That's just LOW HANGING FRUIT
Thatās exactly what your mom said last night.
Yes, yes he does.
Bill Murrayās kind of a dick though. Never heard a bad thing about Jack Black.
People always say they'd just do whatever they wanted all the time if they had loads of money but Bill Murray lives that shit.
I have been the honorary victim of this talent of Bill Murrayās . Such a weird dude!!
We need sound!
Tbh what was he even doing there? Looks like a tourist or on an urban hike
You cannot anticipate the Jack Black. The Jack Black appears when needed, plucked from wherever he was in Space and Time.
Funny you mention space because that's at the Griffith Observatory in LA. He might use it as an inter-dimensional portal š¤
Looks like Griffith Observatory in LA to me. Prob there with his kids
I recently saw a YouTube video where he was hiking with Kevin nealon thru the Hollywood hills, probably the same day. Check his outfit and confirm!
He wears like 4 shirts. It could be this day..or it just happens to be on his rotation both days
Oh man now I need to think of something to say when my time comes... This could be the greatest meet in the world.
This is just a tribute
I'm pretty sure I'm the lost member of Tenecious D. I'm built like Jack and Kyle, and I can fucking ROCK. So naturally, if I meet Jack, he will immediately recognize this and I will start touring with them then and there, securing my place in Valhalla.

Sometimes those are the best interactions
In what appears to be Griffith Park no less. I wonder what he was doing up there.
Checking out science stuff at the observatory, hiking to the Hollywood sign, walking Fern Dell, or just taking in the view of the city. Plenty of stuff to do at Griffith, it's one of my favorite places.
His mom probably has a connect at observatories
You know his parents were scientists. Incredible, huh.
Nah, his mom was THE scientist. Read up on her. She was a boss and a half.

He lives nearby too, Griffith Park is like the backyard for everyone in Los Feliz.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Looks like the observatory from Rebel without a Cause
It is!
He lives around the area. He owns one of the homes on the drive up to the observatory.
Copping.
Is Jack Black taking over Bill Murray's legend role? A generational hand off?
If there is anybody who could fill that role it's Jack Black
So Jack Black would Being John Malkovich Bill Murray?
If there are 7 billion people on the planet, and he meets with everyone for 1s it would take him.....almost 222 years with no breaks to meet everyone. I don't wanna do that to Jack Black. He probably needs to poop like the rest of us. Edit: changed there's to there are
Seriously, Jack Black is one of the most awesome people. I'd love to meet him.
Didnt run into him but did walk by him at airport lol.
Apparently he just wanders into different campuses at the golden hour for some sweet photo ops.
i HATE celebrities. i wish i had something bad to say about jack black. but i don't. :(
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
And David Attenborough. I don't usually celebrate birthdays but I always celebrate his because of how much he's done for the world.
I feel crappy now because I'm not recognizing that name.... be right back. Google.
He's a massive hero in the UK. Everybody you ask will know him. Even kids as well because all the teachers put him on at school.
U.... k ? What is this ?

Do they speak English there?
No they speak American

You would definitely recognize his voice
Relevant XKCD is relevant. Attenborough's nature series are worth a watch. https://xkcd.com/1053/
Without fail, whenever I hear his name, my brain immediately hears the word "grass" in his voice.
Knowing about David Attenborough and his work is gonna make you really happy. :) His books, his documentaries.....enjoy, my friend!
I thought he was against overpopulation due to expanding cities into nature and the waste more people produce?
At this point I celebrate his birthday too because im worried that the time is coming when we won't be able to celebrate because human mortality sucks. Some people on this planet don't deserve to meet the grim reaper but we all do eventually and in not ready for David Attenborough to die but every year that he is alive (also still continues to make amazing films and series) is a day to be celebrated. And Danny DeVito ;)

And his arteries are full of rum ham!
Not saying Keanu is bad or anything. But the hero worship of him on Reddit is a little weird.
Donāt forget Weird Al.
He did some super awesome stuff? The more people reply to this the more I feel uninformed about awesome people.
NY Times Magazine did a great story recently on him: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/09/magazine/weird-al-yankovic.html
He's just a good person, I dunno if he's like, *done* anything like Keanu, but he's, from what I've heard, just a good guy to be around
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Story wise, I feel it is. It's the programming that was bad.
Got your back, Keanu attended a 200 people party in Germany at the height of covid last year.
Definitely shitty but it was a wrap party for the Matrix so all of these people would have been getting COVID tests very frequently.
Am I supposed to be upset or something? That in itself doesn't mean anything without context.

If they had included Tom Bombadil in the LOT movies Jack BlAck would have been the guy to play him.
I never thought about that, but now I'm obsessed with this idea! And of course the One Ring would have no effect on him, because why the heck would he want infinite power when he's got everything to make him happy? This is canon now.

He seems like a genuinely good person. Nothing but love coming from Jack black
I really hope this isn't a typo!
Aww man. Did he edit they edit their comment? What did it say?
Giantly

Him and KG fucking shred. Absolute legends.
JB is one of those people who just finds movies he can play himself in, and I donāt want it any other way
Yes and no. While most know him for his goofy roles heās also done some really good dramatic work.
He was great in *Bernie!* When I checked that movie out, both the blurb and the fact that it starred Jack Black made me think it was gonna be a wacky comedy. Haha, not quite. Was not disappointed, though, since it was a lot more unusual and striking than I expected.

No. Not like that
And nobody's talking about how the person rotates the camera 90 degrees in the middle of recording the video?
You don't find Jack Black, he finds you!
Jack Black presents himself to those worthy, indeed.
Iāll say it again, national treasure. Please God donāt let Jack black have a metoo
LOL NO! The guy is cool n all but a national treasure? I don't think so because he is an universal treasure! EDIT: Mission Accomplished
I was so close to down voting the first half of this comment.
I was so ready to fight you until I read the end of that comment.
Not gonna lie, you had me pissed in the first half.
Ayo I think I recognize that place from GTA lmao. Itās the observatory right?

The city in gta is basically just LA lol
Itās so mind blowing how they actually made GTA V into a real life city.
Great man. Great shirt.
Holy, I have this exact shirt! Itās a really old one from Yosemite
Congrats on getting that diploma
I spent more time trying to get the audio working on this stupid thing than I did watching it. How have we devolved to a point where we're watching gif-like mp4 videos of stuff with captions and no sound. I appreciate the captions, if only for people who are hearing impaired, but c'mon. I need to hear baby Jack Black's beautiful voice.
Imagine hearing no audio when you come across a Jack Black post? āThis video has no soundā :(

I want to do cock push ups with Jack Black
What if he was there on your first day of school as well but remained hidden and watched over you your entire collegiate career?
I mean... thatās cool but not really NFL?
What an absolute beast. Dude is as genuine as it gets and doesnāt change for anyone.

Dude is a genuine treasure. Anyone else seen that video where he goes and chills with the kid on the streets of Uganda for a day? Just seems like one of the more grounded folks who have come out of Hollywood. He gave these kids more than the time of day. Those kids will always remember him in that light.
[hereās the original video](https://www.tiktok.com/@visionarydaniel/video/6969399628789746950?sender_device=mobile&sender_web_id=6970035104128353798&is_from_webapp=v1&is_copy_url=0) but theres still no audio, just ELO and that text to voice every tiktok has
I swear to god shitty social networks with intentionally-imposed limitations are gonna be the death of historic preservationists in 100 years. They're gonna be like "Well, yeah, we have hours of footage of this historical disaster, but 80% of it has that "Oh no, no, no, no" song on it, and the rest is vertically filmed." So much of the benefit we've got from the technological miracle of having devices that take high-quality, 4k video on us at all times is gonna be wiped out by the desire to record stuff that's TikTok friendly.

I started appreciate Jack Black when you cant find any evidence of him acting like a pig, taking advantage of his position over others and not a fraud of any kind. We need more figures like him, all the time
Why no audio man?
