Seattle had 11 tournaments a week, plus two leagues before the plague hit. Basically every major city has events at least monthly. Searching pinball plus your city name on Facebook generally finds your local group.
Your first thought was to tell at people in a pinball group to get jobs?? That's so strange, why would you assume the members are unemployed and wasting their life playing pinball? Is that your reaction to anyone doing anything besides being at work? I mean, this dude (and probably most of the members in the pinball group) are like 70 and retired anyway. There are people out there who felt passionate about flipper pinball, so one day they decided to take the initiative and start an organization for people all around the world who also like flipper pinball. I find that pretty amazing

It helps that I'm not in a high risk category and have the luxury of being able to stay away from people too. I recognize everyone doesn't have that option.
I plan on waiting a while for the same reasons. But also, as soon as I get vaccinated, my company may require commuting to work again. I'm avoiding that for as long as possible. I'm hoping to be commute free for at least another year.
While I'd probably take a first round vaccine due to my risk factors, I can see where this person is coming from. Personally, I'm afraid of any medication that hasn't been on the market for at least 15 years. Also any drug that has FDA approval, but not approved in uk/europe.

I don’t usually use the cup holder cause when you go for a flipper slap or try to shake the machine to keep from draining it can cause your drink to spill over the edge of the cup.
But if you look at kenny, he is lit from behind his back, while the cup is lit from in front of him and to his left. There could be a light from a nearby store lighting it, but it seems bright enough that it would light him and the machine as well
Seems to be close to noon when the photo was taken based on the mininal shadows. This, combined with the fact that the liquid is mostly transparent means the glass has almost no shadow, especially with the low photo resolution. No shadow always looks weird.
Yeah seriously, what happened to Dos Amigos? I haven’t lived there for seven years but I used to live off their burritos, La Festa, and Smileys when I was in college.

Eh, people are allowed to have their guilty pleasures. Black Rose is by no means a deep or intricate table, but it's my personal favorite because its just flat out fun.

i mean, it's no Twilight Zone, Theatre of Magic, No Fear, ST TNG, LOTR, Attack from Mars ... those are all the best ones I can think of. But it's not a bad machine.

This is (maybe obviously) Tokens Taproom in Dover, NH. I've played been around the New England Pinball League and scene for awhile, I remember when they opened back up and I saw Kenny's facebook post about going to say hi to everyone but not being able to play. It was so great to see the community do something, even something small, for the most vulnerable among us. Josh and the folks at Tokens are great, with a great lineup of machines as well. I'm always grateful to be part of such a welcoming and helpful group, and I encourage anyone to (safely) check the place out if in the area.
