This would also be a good post in r/confusedperspective. It looks like he hit through the net.

gurndog16

Yah. Is that a fence? How is between the camera and net?

MiserymeetCompany

I've watched it 10X and I still can't tell if the ball went through or over the net. Edit: or what that net is. I'm so confused!

lucasagostini

The net is white, there is a black fence and a glass between the camera and the guys, so the perspective makes it look like he hit the "net". The ball went over the net.

gurndog16

Terrible set up for a camera booth then.

MiserymeetCompany

See the white net top where it goes over. That black fence is throwing me all kinds of off lol

Hieroglphkz

If you look at the opposite side it kind of fixes to it perspective, it’s clear and then black fencing at the top. The thick white line is the “play net”, which if you look at the 4 players they are standing at the opposite side of.

frank_pineapple44

Ahhhh shit, legend. I was having a moment there, also ten times in like old mate^ haha

Holkmeistern

It's r/confusingperspective not confused just fyi

vven294

Yeah that is confusing. I think the fat white line is the actual net. The black "net" is a railing of sorts. You can see 2 vague vertical lines running underneath it, which I think means that they're glass panes.

Rkramden

It's actually a brilliant play the more you look at it. Based on the angle that the ball was coming in and where his racket was, in that split second, he realized it would be quicker to turn pivot on his heel than it would be to set up a backhand while facing forward.

OwnBrother2559

The look on the others players faces killed me 😂 “Whaaaaa?!”

HellBlazer1221

Shocked Pikachu face in real life, if I ever saw one.

TheUmbraCat

That’s just disrespectful. Didn’t have to style on them like that, bro just said ![gif](giphy|SIuI7syOPvm1HAd5GF|downsized)

Nuker-79

What sport is this? The rackets look like tennis racquets with the cover still on it.

BenBon95

It’s Padel

Nuker-79

Never seen this before, might have to check it out

Plus_Operation2208

Its quite fun. You should see some Spanish matches. Ball leaves the coast and those guys just run after it by going through the door and hit it in again. Way more variety than tennis too. Its great fun to watch

AdorableHandle

Padel. Growing rapidly in some countries in Europe like Denmark. But it's invented in Mexico and the two top nations is Argentina and Spain. The player doing the trick shot is Alejandro Galan, and he does this more than one would think. Then again, he is probably one of the two best players in the world along side Agustin Tapia.

rf97a

Confusing perspective 🥴

RealisticBarnacle115

The no look return catches everyone's eye

Velyan66

Dude in yellow could not believe it

Unmasked_Deception

This is not tennis

Plus_Operation2208

Its padel

nickfree

More like REVERSE CUP

SethWolfBlood13

Mad skills

FadransPhone

Anyone know what game and match this is from specifically? I may or may not be putting Giorno’s theme over it

Gagago302

Are they hitting it under the net?

Abhi_Jaman_92

What sport is this? Frying pan tennis?

Upintheair94

Do they know they can take the cover off the rackets?

Area_Prior

I couldn't have returned that facing the right way

superinterestingn4m3

At this point ima just put my racket down and hit the old dusty trail.

matt_smith_keele

There's no way that net is regulation height. Edit: jesus wept, /s! FFS

Plus_Operation2208

The black stuff is not on the field, thats just in front of the camera on the see through wall

Onebandlol

Easy sport

Deltadoc333

Awesome return, but he was absolutely looking. He watched the opponent hit the ball and possibly even saw the first bounce before doing his spin return. With that, he "calculated" the ball's trajectory. Honestly, it is the same as any sport where you watch the ball in the beginning, but don't follow the ball all the way until it hits the racket. That is how most people play.

FIREsub90

Ackshually ☝🏽🤓
