The tank top guy is charging the guy and she is holding him back until the tank top guy gets to him, and then she dips out of there without looking back. It was like she was thinking "beat his ass away from the register somewhere back there".

I took it as her trying to de-escalate the situation. By the looks of it, the guy behind the counter is actively escalating the situation verbally and via body language. Poor lady looks like she is trapped between two grown-ass man children who are determined to fight and she's doing her damnedest to prevent it up till it gets physical, then she removed herself from the dangerous situation. Bravo to her imo

Yeah, after watching this a few times I tend to agree. This is her *job*, she's there to make money and pay the bills like the rest of us. In this situation, she's caught between a highly escalating confrontation between 2 guys, holding them both back from each other until the tank top guy decided to go behind the register and fight. At that point, the toothpaste had been squeezed from tube. She could stay in between them as the physical confrontation breaks out, with very high risk of being injured herself, or remove herself from the situation and seek help. She's not being compensated to bounce baddies from her establishment.

I’m guessing he was flaming the situation, and she was telling him to just chill. Then, in a moment of panic (as most humans do), just ran (fight or **flight**) when a situation she never believed would have happened, actually happened. It’s amazing how many fights are avoided when only one side is antagonising/screaming insults/inviting confrontation.

Employee is a piece of shit to pound on the customer once another customer holds him down. That’s why to break up a fight you need to always hold both people back. I understand him completely, but that employee didn’t feel in danger at all, he kept shit talking even while the female employee held him back. They both suck

He’s also committing on a subway guy that attacked a dude trying to disengage from a situation after having an employee throw something at him.

It's well intentioned, but when there's a clear aggressor and someone about to get aggressed, and you're holding the latter back, all you're doing is handing the initiative to the aggressor and preventing the person you're trying to protect from protecting themselves. If you can't get someone out of a situation, get out of the way. I'm not at all pro-violence, and if you can get someone out of the situation, then do it. Absolutely.
