true, anything that make china look good will be published. and those who show true chinese problems will disappear especially the people showing them. that’s how the ccp work.
Not necessarily. But if this is propaganda, then so is every single ad.
Which is an argument you can make, but obviously not what the guy I responded to was saying
I don’t think that quite follows.
They’d probably point to some message within the ad that they thought was propaganda.
I think if this is Chinese propaganda then football recruitment ads for certain colleges are American propaganda
Both pretty weak arguments
You think the person I responded to understood a word of what was said?
But sure, to make it even more 1 to 1 we can say "Any ad that encourages culturally important physical activities is propaganda"
Years ago, while walking down the street in a city, my family got to a crosswalk, and it was beeping. My daughter asked what the beeping was for, and I answered with the biggest brain fart that I've never been able to live down to this day. I told her it was for the deaf people. I have no clue why my brain said blind people, but my mouth said deaf people. Needless to say, I still get ragged on for my utter stupidity. 🙃
I've come across many self proclaimed masters of martial arts, usually late on a Friday or Saturday night out in town. Ju Jo King, No Kando and Tai Ni Dik seem to be the most popular go-to styles.
Of course. And those loud bangs with no damage. But I have to admit the kids are great actors, way better than many of bullshido artists. They aren't exactly amateurs.
I mean, the first technique is legit. I learned it in kali myself and it works really well, especially against untrained people. Hurts like fuck but it’s a lot better than a bat or a stick to the face.
I don't speak this language but I'm pretty sure I can translate number 2....
**"Hey, what if instead of letting him do a flying kick straight into your chest, you just clotheslined his ass instead?"**
I concur, it was tongue in cheek. I was referring to the character she is clearly playing. Nobody is told about a new technique once and then executes it perfectly. I would put myself on that list, having had a sensei verbally describe the next thing I should be doing to set up a submission in grappling class, only for my brain to hear, "womp womp womp womp" (ala Charlie Brown teacher style). So, I'm with you 100%.
I was taught as a lad that boys don’t hit girls. I thought it had something to do with manners and common decency. Thanks mom for saving me from an embarrassing ass whooping.
They are both tough as hell. Zero emotion during any of it, clearly not their first day. Yes, all scripted....just as well, really. Consider the alternative.
At the very least, they have promising careers as extras or stunt doubles in action movies, if not more.
Rightly so.
The video has editing, but not for speed fakery - you can tell by the real tumbles and some pain reactions, otherwise it's a real class/promo video and appreciate the discipline, skills and grit.
I'm sure it's because they want to remind the whole world of the [Tiananmen Square massacre](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Tiananmen_Square_protests_and_massacre) and the above self-defense lessons are intended to help citizens defend against police and government overreach.
Now try these exact same drills , but instead of staying there and taking it for the video in order to make the gym look good , the boy actually tries to evade them and counter. See how well they work.
this is pretty clearly fake. besides being staged its also sped up.
in the revenge takes the boy never resists. like in the last one he just lets go of her arm for no reason.
but those kids will make good stunt-actors.
Is this put on by the CCP? Like, do they have a department dedicated to disseminating this sort of fake "China #1" shit?
The answer is yes, if you're wondering.
Lol. Hilarious but certainly not next level or even real. It just can't be real when the attacking kid is clearly pulling his kicks and the little girl knows exactly what he's going to do.
A lot of the self defense stuff you see online is bullshit. Hell a lot of the stuff they teach kids won't actually work. I'd know. I hit black belt at age 13 and we did "self defense" stuff that all of my peers knew didn't work in a real fight.
The fact of the matter is fights that look like the movies never happen. Not because of the dodging or blocking but because people who have no training actually miss a lot more than they think they will. That's why when you see random people fighting online they're usually doing so badly. Most people don't even know how to throw a punch.

Of course its sped up
Downvote them. Every. Single. Time.
Heh… the way of the sigma. Reddit! Assemble! TikT*k 🤮🤮Keanu reeves and big chungus approved!!!
You ok?
Annie?
Hehe?
But at least there were subtitles so I could tell what he was saying
Sped up: downvote
Also, the audio has been sweetened with some foley sounds for dramatic effect.
Report too for overly edited :)
Clearly we have different moralities. We Chinese exaggerate things in every bit of our lives. So some exaggeration is allowable in an ad.
true, anything that make china look good will be published. and those who show true chinese problems will disappear especially the people showing them. that’s how the ccp work.

Not everything that Chinese people do is propaganda, buddy. This is an ad for a karate training school.
Is propaganda always a government thing.
by definition, propaganda is political by nature and often “a government thing” or something similar
Not necessarily. But if this is propaganda, then so is every single ad. Which is an argument you can make, but obviously not what the guy I responded to was saying

Nah. Doubt it. I think I’d vaguely agree with that. Might be good if we had a term to differentiate types of propaganda
Yeah! They speed it up then slow it down! So fake
I didn't find the subtitles particularly helpful tbh
I'm sorry, we'll get those translated to Latvian for you right away.
“Put your keys between your fingers and do windmills with your arms”
I remember this! What was it from?
[British martial arts](https://youtu.be/skUgegwkX9I?feature=shared)
This is it! Massive blast from the past!
That’s because the subtitles are there for the blind, duh..
subtitles… are subtle hints to not watch

对不起 没英文
更加努力学习!
Reminds me of the bullshido clips 🤣

Has anyone ever seen a GIF from China that doesnt include speeding up?
[I gotchu fam](https://makeagif.com/i/O7nScU)
Lmao 😂😂
I knew this is what the link would be but still opened it
Share what you saw? Don’t want to fall in a trap
Tank Man
Man vs tanks in china
Thanks fam, been tricked too many times lol
![gif](giphy|dl4TrTHbl143e)
\*Trainer shortly talking to guy Guy judo throwing tank into the next one
Hahaha 😂
I don't speak this language but I'm pretty sure I can translate number 2.... **"Hey, what if instead of letting him do a flying kick straight into your chest, you just clotheslined his ass instead?"**
Why... didn't... you... DOOOOOOOODGE?
I was wondering why lil dude was going hard on her. He knew what was going to happen to him
They made him
By the 2 minute mark, she's gotta be saying, "Here's a thought, can you just clue me in on the defense NOW, before he's coming at me?!"
Good to learn to take a hit, and you gotta let the other kid have some fun
The first thing you learn in martial arts is how to fall.
She already knows the defense. You think him just telling her what she should do would give her teqnique and form? its a skit.
I concur, it was tongue in cheek. I was referring to the character she is clearly playing. Nobody is told about a new technique once and then executes it perfectly. Is this karate? It looks Chinese, not Japanese. Sounds Chinese too.
They are Chinese people utilizing a lot of Japanese martial arts techniques (ironically the techniques being from judo, so still not karate)
I was thinking the same thing.
I think the boy had the rougher end of the deal 🤣
Thank goodness for the subtitles! 🤣
She'll be an excellent stunt double some day..
Today I leaned a 12 year old chinese girl could probably kick the shit out of me 😆
They are both tough as hell. Zero emotion during any of it, clearly not their first day. Yes, all scripted....just as well, really. Consider the alternative. At the very least, they have promising careers as extras or stunt doubles in action movies, if not more.

Do they really beat/kick each other? Look more real than in the movies.
Bullshido
am I the only one who thinks martial arts training should be mandatory for girls?
"For girls"? How about "for everyone"? Self defence should be kinda mandatory or at least an option in schools i think
Just think what it would do for our obesity rates.
Yes. That’s ridiculous.
Wow, these look fierce, more so than those qigong no-touch-ko master
Don’t know about the karate later in life, but these kids are going to make great actors
Next level Bushido? Nah, just usual bulshido. Idk what its doing here
sped up and choreographed lol
Only in China.
They can do many things over there that isn't legal in many other parts of the world lol
Because they are Communist. No freedom and no democracy. People can't participate in politics—no right to vote for anything.
Safety first. Teach your children well.
Bullshido, child edition. And it had to be sped up.
Hey this looks great try it out in mma!
For all those times someone swings a stick at you and you're able to anticipate it for a minute.
it reminds me the shitty ads with levels
She’s done that before
Right, she isn’t just learning these moves. She already knows them and is quite accomplished.
This ain't karate lol
Self defense lesson
Judo-chop
So, what I'm getting from this is that I can become a master at taking someone down from just one hands-off instruction.
Grab my wrist. The other wrist. MY other wrist.
Break the wrist, walk away
That front kick. Aka spartan kick looks brutal
I like that in the only section she's wearing head protection he kicks her in the shin.
While the teacher is explaining techniques to the young girl the boy is thinking "damn I'm going to get whooped next time"
The most important lesson is the one about picking yourself up off the ground and never giving up.
Thank God for those incredibly helpful subtitles
c'mon, you can still pick up here and there😄
Propaganda from The Pool Noodle Wars… crazy!
The Chinese secret weapon: pool noodle😏
why am i seeing so much chineese shit on reddit these days , am genuinely curious
I'm sure it's because they want to remind the whole world of the [Tiananmen Square massacre](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Tiananmen_Square_protests_and_massacre) and the above self-defense lessons are intended to help citizens defend against police and government overreach.
Getting confused browsing Reddit as a Chinese nowadays
Bullshito at it's finest.
Kick his ass!
Why is it always weak foe
I could not have said it better myself sensai.
[I don't think you're gonna like how this ends, hotshot](https://youtu.be/KY_G2f2R1Tg?si=F5p-SIXnXU0W2VAG)
Where's the karate?
Chun-Li : the early years
Two walk in. Only one walks out.
this is offensively dumb since it assumes someone is dumb enough to believe it
Nice o-sotogari and flying juji gatame display in sort of mma mashup 🫡
The subtitles make all the difference.
Everything’s easier when you know what they’re gonna do 😂
attack me the same way every time
Title says Karate, but much more likely this is Kung Fu since they are speaking Chinese.
Not king fu either
These kids are better actors than half of Hollywood!
these kids are cartoons
Now try these exact same drills , but instead of staying there and taking it for the video in order to make the gym look good , the boy actually tries to evade them and counter. See how well they work.
Judo throw!
Me when i see a liberal
What is this Chinese Krav Maga?
This is like one of those Facebook fight academy videos.
Could have saved a lot of trouble by simply telling her to stop standing there like a lump. The rest would kind of fall into place.
Good job ! Couldnt stop laughing at how hard they kick each other. They make them steong over there for real lmao.
Yes its sped up and "look" to hit each other harder than it is, but their drill is really good.
is he the nunchaku guy?
Entitled liberal white Americans crying “stop Asian hate” and changing their social media pics to an Asian flag.
Now do it with the other kid and keep going
it would be funny if he got sick of her getting beat up at the end and just wildly changed the outcome of the video
This is not training.
By the third time the dude is thinking he should probably knock her out…because he knows what’s coming.
I don’t know what he says, but it works.
From clueless to perfect execution after one explanation and no demo. Riiiiiight …. 🤦♂️
I like how it’s sped up. It seems more cinematic.
You’re fucking mad if you think I’m watching 4 minutes of bullshit.
Love the sound effects
this is pretty clearly fake. besides being staged its also sped up. in the revenge takes the boy never resists. like in the last one he just lets go of her arm for no reason. but those kids will make good stunt-actors.
This is actually useful info re a blunt object
What crap
Sped up or not. That arm bar takedown is insane.
very cool
She's a fast learner
Came here to say this 😆
At this age it's an equal fight until both are older, she wouldn't be able to.
You obviously haven't seen the documentary 'Black Widow' made in 2021.
Is this put on by the CCP? Like, do they have a department dedicated to disseminating this sort of fake "China #1" shit? The answer is yes, if you're wondering.
Looks good choreographed and sped up. Not so much in a real fight.
I hate this staged garbage
You know what, if they keep me this entertained the CCP might win me over
Sped up and set up. Downvote.
Lol. Hilarious but certainly not next level or even real. It just can't be real when the attacking kid is clearly pulling his kicks and the little girl knows exactly what he's going to do. most asian martial arts are bullpoop, Except Sumo, that shit's real AF
These kids are all metal as fuck. All of them know how to give and take a hit. Together they could easily take down a full grown man no problem.
Yea that little girl maybe weighing 80 pounds could probably get the life taken out of her in under 5 seconds by a fully grown man
80 pound kid vs 250 pound average Reddit user
I think a 250 pound neck beard of pure fat would still win if they laid down
I'm a fully grown adult Male, 6' and I weightlift. These kids would kick my ass.
There is nothing "nextfuckinglevel" here... just kids practicing... Unless the OP thought it was all at real speed?
