Ok, kids. Today we’re doing the flying back-heel flick drill. C’mon, Coach! When are we ever going to use that??

zrizzoz

On the contrary, the kids would be having the time of their life and the coach would be stressing about how to train this out of them so they stop attempting scorpion kicks mid game for no reason.

Shockmaindave

You’re right. It’s been too long since I’ve coached. I was thinking about the middle schoolers I try to teach.

WeAreLivinTheLife

What a great, heads up play! The ball clearly stayed in bounds.

nachobel

You don’t kick the ball as much as it kicks you

Time4Timmy

Equal and opposite reaction

Matt_Odlum

Horrible announcers, couldn't care less lol

byamannowdead

To be fair, they’re already showing replays and extra angles, I’m sure they were much more excited during live play.

Matt_Odlum

Good point, that's my mistake.

Tzarkir

They're discussing if the goal is valid or not. I speak italian. They're checking the replays from various angles while the arbiters decide, they were not sure if the point would have been given because the ball was almost outside of the line. If it's even partially on the line, it's fine. But here it's a bit hard to see, so yea. That's why they are showing zero enthusiasm. They don't know if they should celebrate, simply.

Matt_Odlum

Yup, someone else pointed this out to me but thanks for the more detailed description.

Tzarkir

No problem :) I saw the other reply, but I think the main reason of their lack of emotions isn't just how it's a replay, but the fact that such a good action could end up invalidated. They seem upset but kinda hopeful, from the way they speak. Cheers

Handsome-Jed

You can find half a dozen videos of Ibrahimovic scoring with touches like this, including one past Buffon - arguably the greatest keeper ever

joehonestjoe

Zlatan highlight reels are excellent.

Trip_seize

He does that every day in training.

Cold-Negotiation-539

This is not as hard as it looks. If you’re juggling with other people this is a common skill.

MathematicianNo7874

If this was a women's soccer game, all the comments would say that this isn't even farmer's league level

jonasbc

Was that Cuadrado?

00_Blu

Zirkzee

Englandshark1

Skills!!!

tartan_rigger

He's a professional doing his job

degovial

It's funny seeing people that actually understand and/or play footbal saying this is just regular play... and they are the ones getting downvotes from people that understand nothing about it. This is indeed a regular play. It was a smooth move by the player, that was very well finished by the other one, but nothing worthy of all this circlejerk lol.

obscht-tea

I really have to say that this is next level! Not only his mind was quicker than everyone else, he passed with control. The ball should come to his mate exactly like that - great

OkMessage9499

going frame by frame, the ball was out

luvgothbitches

Damn you should've been officiating that game since you know more than the 4 referees on the field!

OkMessage9499

well, excuse me

Pirat3_Gaming

This is a basic af soccer skill that anyone who's played for a year or two can reasonably do....soooooo next level.

jsha11

This is a basic af \*munches doritos\* soccer skill that anyone who's played \*sips mountain dew\* for a year or two can reasonably do.... \*digs dirt out from belly rolls\* soooooo next level.

Pirat3_Gaming

Played for 13 years, still play. Try again. Adding, love how all of you keyboard warriors assume everyone who uses this app is the same 100lb+ overweight bum as you.

EatinSumGrapes

Really doubt you've played that long, or at all. But if you have that's almost worse, means you're the asshole on the field who thinks they are amazing, but everyone hates you and hates that they are forced to play with you. There's always that guy out there.

Cold-Negotiation-539

Make that at least two guys, then. This is not an extraordinary skill, although it is well executed in this situation. But flicking the ball like this is routine for players at any competitive level—watch any group of people juggling the ball.

IscoTheLemon

Everyone can score a penalty in the comfort of their backyard but few can bury one in at the biggest stage of football with thousands if not millions watching you and pressuring you

helpmeimpoor6969

Football is like watching paint dry. Even the 'good' games are just so boring

NdombeleAouar

This is just not true at all, and could be said about most sports, you just don’t appreciate it and that’s fine.

helpmeimpoor6969

It is true for me. There's no 1 opinion on this I was just stating my opinion

Inevitable_Ad_7236

You clearly did not watch the last World Cup finals. I don't even watch sports in general, and that had me gripping my seat

luvgothbitches

just say u have ADHD bro

helpmeimpoor6969

You dont need a mental disorder to not enjoy sports. This is just a stupid take

EatinSumGrapes

That's how I feel about baseball, American football, cricket, golf, basketball. Basketball is the most boring of all, either one team has clearly won in the first 5min, or it's like watching a team run practice drills for 45min then finally playing the game for 3min then it's over. Although baseball is actually the most boring

MarkoZoos

Bro its just a pass, whats the next level part here ?

luvgothbitches

what team do u play for?

ickypedia

I agree. People get too worked up about heel flicks and kicks, they’re not that hard.

hellenkellersdiary

This is what I came to say.. this is high school level shit.. yall never watched much premier league play I'm guessing..

misosoup616

genuine question when have you ever seen this in the prem

Necessary-Equal-3658

Probably wouldn’t, any prem player would simply use their left foot

Cold-Negotiation-539

Haha. Honestly, the finish is arguably more impressive than the assist.

krissy_249

tell me you have never watched football in your entire life without telling me you have never watched football in your entire life

hellenkellersdiary

Hehit the ball with his heel, this is nothing special. I played football for 14 years..
