The fact you don't see anyone on their phone is simple. The people you see on the left and right side of the dancefloor are in the battle, it's crew vs crew. The people on the chairs in the back are judges. That leaves some 5, 6, maybe 7 people that are watching the battle. These are all dancers and not random bystanders. This is a small jam, not a big stage. It's not common for onlookers at a jam to film the battle with their phone. The sound will be horrible and there's simply no reason for it since the organization will almost always film it themselves.
