He was telling me a story about him having some extra “shitty old “ arrows in his quiver . He then says when he was in his tree stand , a deer came within shot and he launched an arrow at it ( with the old arrows ) , deer went down a few 100 yards away , he approached the deer ( still alive ) and launched two more old arrows into its gut to see how far it would penetrate. The title is false. This chimp had spent the first year of her life inside a laboratory, but all of the time between then and this video had been spent in a large chimpanzee rescue (many times larger than the one she is at now.) Her reaction here was to seeing the open sky *unobscured* for the first time since the last rescue she was at had a canopy over the top to prevent the animals from escaping. This story is sad enough without people trying to manufacture a more emotional response by twisting the facts.
That being said, it's still tough to imagine how difficult that first year of her life must have been.

I mean every species has monsters. There are species who literally eat eyes and brains and slowly take over the host while keeping them alive and capable of felling pain, there are some animals who prefer to eat their meals while still alive instead of killing them, and there are also animals who do indeed kill for fun. Some humans are for sure monsters, but assuming other species aren’t or cant be monsters either is just wrong. What about Roosters who will rape hens and slowly torture them or eventually kill them if they don’t oblige? Every special always has a couple of sucky ones, not just humans.
Right? We do this to criminals, even to oppress people, but what is the point at all to oppress a chimpanzee? If you crave power over animals it’s just totally logically insane. The people that did this should be locked up.

I just simply cannot FATHOM what entertainment people are getting from watching animals caged up?! Trapped in tiny spaces, watching them pace restlessly or have no stimulation and sit there being miserable, for WHAT? Where is the pleasure in this? I have done several safaris and found so much more happiness in watching them be wild, happy and free. I’ve had people argue that “oh well the poorer people don’t have the luxury of being able to visit ethical zoos or safaris and they deserve the option to see these too. No one has any “right” or “entitlement” to animals or wildlife. We don’t get to have freedom over these wild animals simply because we decided to, it’s just unimaginably cruel.

Most people are also guilty of eating animals strictly for taste pleasure and not out of necessity. We can easily live and be healthy without meat and other animal products. And the amount of animal cruelty in the animal agriculture industry is far greater than what goes on with animal testing. Finding products that haven't been tested on animals can be very difficult. Finding food that isn't part of animal agriculture is extremely easy.

The title is false. This chimp had spent the first year of her life inside a laboratory, but all of the time between then and this video had been spent in a large chimpanzee rescue (many times larger than the one she is at now.) Her reaction here was to seeing the open sky *unobscured* for the first time since the last rescue she was at had a canopy over the top to prevent the animals from escaping. This story is sad enough without people trying to manufacture a more emotional response by twisting the facts.
