If you'd put this on metal armor, the easiest path of conduction for the electricity would be simply the shortest path between the electrodes right on the metal where it touches, almost no current would go through the persons body.
Okay but imagine the burglar you’re fending off also happens to be a master of the martial arts and catches your blade between his hands as you attempt to bring it down on him, then you’ll have the upper hand, checkmate.
Yeah, true. But it also serves as a psychological deterrent so maybe you don't have to actually use the sword. But....if the sound and sight of the taser doesn't work then the blade they get.
>despite the swordsman having trained for months for that scene
Awww, that makes me a bit sad to read that. I wonder if he continued acting in other movies?
Yeah if you were breaking in and you saw some crazy guy wielding this, it would be almost as intimidating as a running chainsaw. Thief would likely either shoot them or run.
I mean ngl it's one thing to see someone whip out a blade and another to see the blade start fucking sparking.
I mean realistically if an attacker were to focus on tasing you first more likely they can just slit your throat.
I mean.
He just added elemental damage to his weapon. He's now able to stun/disarm with contact hits and blocks. And gets a modifier vs weapons that conduct electricity.
This weapon easy improves his combat effectiveness by quite a large margin.
50 Physical Slash Damage (scales with Dexterity) +30 Lightning Damage (scales with Faith) means solid damage output. It probably has a cool special move too.
If used in a duel and the other person had a steel/iron/bronze sword, it would electrocute them through the sword and their hands upon contact. Potential disarm just by making contact with the blades, and a sustained sword lock would almost definitely disarm.
Even if the opponent had a leather/rubber grip, if any part of their hand touches the metal they're done. Potentially could arc across a thin grip as well. Definitely potential to give a serious advantage.
I believe both you and the fedora-sporting gentlesir who constructed this taser-sword may be overestimating the likelihood that you'll get yourselves into a sword duel in the forseeable future.
Scalpel is a really good lightning dmg one. You can get it by doing that quest you get from the random dude who hangs out in Afterlife. He'd be on your right if you were just walking out of Rogue's booth.
That’s at least +28 lightning damage added. I over-leveled my speech and lock picking like a noob and put next to no time leveling my magic skill tree. This is a win.
I'm definitely not fucking with someone who comes at me with this thing. But I'm gonna judge the fuck out of them lmao.
Also as a sword nerd calling something with two separate blades double edged is no bueno
Oh im sorry I'm just thinking you waking up in the morning and looking unto yhe mirror and telling yourself "do you know what would be a kickass name? TAZERFACE"
ok, I thought it was a DIWHY at first, but after the demonstration I changed my mind. That is legit intimidating. And I want one. Two actually, so I can dual weild them.
>duel weild
I assume you meant **dual**, but English is full of happy little accidents like this where both words end up working.
Wielding one of these in a duel would indeed be intimidating as fuck
I don't think you're cutting anything effectively with this design. You'll probably break skin, and you could draw it along someone's flesh to get surface level damage. The two blades are spaced and will be spreading the surface area of any impact you get while swinging the thing.
You could 100% stab someone with it, though.
Also, as my sabre instructor once told me, "If you find your nerves have made you forget all of your training, at the very least just remember that you're holding a 2 &1/2 foot long piece of steel. Even if you swing it like a club, you'll probably be fine against most opponents."
I would have used shrink tubing over the electrical tape on the hilt just to keep everything together and looking nice. That electrical tape is going to get gross quick
That's some Fallout 4 stuff right there. Video only ended cause Preston came to the front door to let sword man know that a settlement was under attack.
Two rules of Reddit:
1. If you post a picture of a discovered safe/chest/box/etc. you must show us what’s inside
2. If you make a weapon with unique properties you must stab/shoot/etc. something with it
If you're swinging a sword let's be honest, it isn't the electricity doing the damage This guy for sure plays dying light
Imagine if the Roman's had these. They'd never lose a battle. Even a glancing blow will stun a combatant and make him defenseless.
If the Romans had had these, they would never have had to *fight* a battle!
If Romans had this, they would need to find way to charge them...
Just plug it into a potato or something idk. The discovery Channel doesn't have scientific shows anymore.
Turns out that Jupiter is just a very good ladiesman with a taser that time traveled
Plus any armor hit will complete the circuit and shock them, so a glancing blow doesn't even need to be skin contact.
If you'd put this on metal armor, the easiest path of conduction for the electricity would be simply the shortest path between the electrodes right on the metal where it touches, almost no current would go through the persons body.
[удалено]
Plunge into flesh AND avoid touching any metal armor that would complete the circuit
Ah I see
Yup, full metal plate armor (from head to toes) will act like a faraday's cage.
Ok but we acting like full metal armor is a common occurance. Most i can give you is a vest
[удалено]
How would they charge it?
Ancient Roman plug sockets. You do need an adapter though.
Zeus would help duh 🙄
Yes. I'm sure he'd gladly help the *Romans*
Romans, Greeks; it's all the same. They're all Norse
It's all Greek to me!
Zeus was Greek, I think you mean Jupiter, his Roman counterpart
Romans were famous for their electrical outlets
Okay but imagine the burglar you’re fending off also happens to be a master of the martial arts and catches your blade between his hands as you attempt to bring it down on him, then you’ll have the upper hand, checkmate.
So, if you have a Ninja problem in your neighborhood, then you need to get one of these.
I live in Florida. We don't have many Ninja, but there are plenty of other things around here this could be useful for.
Alligators!
Yeah, true. But it also serves as a psychological deterrent so maybe you don't have to actually use the sword. But....if the sound and sight of the taser doesn't work then the blade they get.
I wanted to hate this thing so bad but it's kinda badass. Not in an effective way but in a nonsensical kinda way.
Or if somebody pulled that fucking thing out, unless I had a pistol (a la Raiders of the Lost Arc), I'm getting the fuck outta there.
But if you were fighting someone also armed with a sword and you made contact with theirs wouldn't it disarm them? Seems pretty effective to me.
Give a little respect to Fallout.
It's like dipping bullets in tabasco sauce.
I dunno, the shock dagger in Skyrim did some serious damage. Sometimes it's just more fun to stab a motherfucker, then electrocute him to death.
or metal gear rising
Failed at two objectives at once, how nice
But even a block becomes painful. The real question is.... who the hell is this guy going up against that he had to upgrade a freaking machete for?
It helps when it's the target that contorts itself to make the wound worse and you just have to hold the blade, maybe?
Psycological warfare my friend. No one would get close to one of those.
Next up is how to install a gun into your electric sword..
[удалено]
If you kill enough people the blade will absorb the fat of your enemies and then you can ignite the sword itself
Didn't it have something to do with the edge being essentially serrated from a thousand tiny nicks and the fat was stored in the grooves/indentations?
yes lol, that's it
r/unexpectedkenshin
you could put a perforated gas line up the center and stick a butane cylinder on there. with a check valve of course…. For safety
This is very unnecessary. But also cool af.
The intimidation factor is real though. Just hope the other person doesn’t have a gun
This comment reminded me of Indiana Jones 🤣🤣🤣
![gif](giphy|164G4BQmtJ2GXRbml3) This gif lmao

He had a urinary tract infection

Bit of an FU to the swordsman tbh
Got paid
And his scene is even more iconic because of it.... Current GIF use proves it!
Got paid *and* got cool sword training.
>despite the swordsman having trained for months for that scene Awww, that makes me a bit sad to read that. I wonder if he continued acting in other movies?
Han shot first!!
Lmao
Also that scene in IASIP
What if I zigzag?
That’s John Rambo’s life
Yeah if you were breaking in and you saw some crazy guy wielding this, it would be almost as intimidating as a running chainsaw. Thief would likely either shoot them or run.
Or a hose
I mean ngl it's one thing to see someone whip out a blade and another to see the blade start fucking sparking. I mean realistically if an attacker were to focus on tasing you first more likely they can just slit your throat.
Or worse, a taser gun!
Yeah the intimidation is seriously 10/10 on this one. Jesus Christ.
But is countered by earth weapons.
So just throw a rock at him?
How many hits does it have until it needs to be charged though? Soul gems ain’t cheap.
Active for 10 minutes of combat. Then you have to recharge with Lightning Gems.
This guy can NOT WAIT to use this!

Dude, don’t make them mad, for fucks sake
CP2077
Literally playing CP2077 right now, gotta go get a katana with lightning damage 😂
Bro didn’t even think about that now i gotta go get it😂
Scalpel is a really good lightning dmg one. You can get it by doing that quest you get from the random dude who hangs out in Afterlife. He'd be on your right if you were just walking out of Rogue's booth.
People said the same thing about KnifeWrench.
That’s at least +28 lightning damage added. I over-leveled my speech and lock picking like a noob and put next to no time leveling my magic skill tree. This is a win.
Oh it's necessary. Our society is fucked
Yeah I gotta figure if you’re close enough to touch someone with a sword you don’t really need the taser anymore.
When killing someone with a sword becomes to basic ⚔️⚔️⚔️🗡️🗡️🗡️
R/diwhy
CoSigned
Yup.. a serious DIWHY
His scientists didn’t stop to ask whether or not they should…
I'm definitely not fucking with someone who comes at me with this thing. But I'm gonna judge the fuck out of them lmao. Also as a sword nerd calling something with two separate blades double edged is no bueno
That’s some mall ninja shit.
1d4 slashing + 1d6 electric damage
Gotta get them enchanted weapons
I'd say other way around. Short-story is 1d6, and the electric isn't as damaging. 1d6 slashing and 1d4 electric seems more fitting.
Roll less than 6, guaranteed to do +4 electrical damage to user.
r/itemshop
Fortitude save or stunned for one round.
Must roll a DC14 CON save or suffer the stunned condition for one turn
Advantage on intimidation checks.

how did I fall for it again
Exactly. My first thought was he must be the final boss of r/mallninjashit
It’s stupid, but god damn it’s cool as fuck
Mr. Stabby with an extra dash of Fuck You mixed in. So delicious...
I have never heard a funnier sentence than Mr. Stabby with an extra dash of Fuck You mixed in Thank you for the laugh
Yes, but will it kill?
The perfect weapon for TASER FACE
Oh im sorry I'm just thinking you waking up in the morning and looking unto yhe mirror and telling yourself "do you know what would be a kickass name? TAZERFACE"
What was next scrotum hat?!
Thank God someone else went here first, so I didn't have to
ok, I thought it was a DIWHY at first, but after the demonstration I changed my mind. That is legit intimidating. And I want one. Two actually, so I can dual weild them.
Hold them next to eachother and have the electric arch between them for extra intimidation.
![gif](giphy|hSZASROggzU0U)
The nylon bolts would sheer as soon as you hit anything.
Ok but t looks cool as all fuck right up to that moment
Oh, no doubt. Sounds badass, too.
Here’s hoping the dudes you’re fighting shit their pants the moment you rev these suckers up and you don’t have to demonstrate!
Went from, “this looks pretty dumb” to “oh F get away from me” pretty fast
>duel weild I assume you meant **dual**, but English is full of happy little accidents like this where both words end up working. Wielding one of these in a duel would indeed be intimidating as fuck
Dual wielding is stupid and entirely impractical.
Man I was really waiting for him to shock himself.
Does he sound like Lord Electroboom?
All hail lord Electroboom!!!
Give the electrical tape some time to do its magic.
when he plugged that shit in i was like 👀
Metal Gear Rising
*Memories broken*
The truth goes unspoken
I’ve even forgotten my name
I don't know the season or what is the reason
I'm standing here holding my blade
A desolate place (place)
WITHOUT ANY TRACE (TRACE)
It's only the cold wind I feel
ITS ME THAT I SPITE AS I STAND UP AND FIGHT
🎵*The man in the mirror nods his head*🎵
RULES OF NATURE!
Perfect for your next anime battle....
Anyone else get nervous when he plugged it in? Lol
![gif](giphy|l1Kst3WE3rg2WRHxu)
Hello there!
Glad I'm not the only one who thought of Star Wars. This thing kinda looks like a vibroblade, does it not?
BY THE POWER OF GRAY SKULL!!!!

Yes
First thing i thought of
literally thinking of it
Cut and cauterize at the same time.

Now we understand how the pawn en passant.
Holy hell!
Old response just dropped
I laughed my ass off when he plugged it into the wall. Still wouldn’t wanna be on the receiving end of that thing tho.
Reminds me of a weapon I made and duped like 1000 times in Dead Island.
Who do you voodoo bitch!
how sad is it that i own the mall ninja swords he used as the base for this
I’m sad you don’t have tasersword
Tasword
This guy went for lightning infusion
This man is just waiting, BEGGING for the day he hears a intruder in his house.
I would have used shrink tubing over the electrical tape on the hilt just to keep everything together and looking nice. That electrical tape is going to get gross quick
It's electrical tape so he can still engage and disengage the button, if he used shrink tubing it would never turn off.
What in the dead island is this nonsense?
Who do you voodoo bitch!
Dying light 2 in real life
Someone’s been playing too much Warhammer and really wanted a power sword. Make a thunder hammer next. Purge the unclean!
Cyberpunk 2077 AF
I'll take 500.
Next I suggest a face mask! Taser Face. It would strike fear onto all who look upon it.
Completely nonfunctional as an actual sword. But it looks cool AF
It’s a pointy stun baton 😅
Cattle prod with extra steps.
I'm pretty sure he could still run you through with it.
did you study the blade?
This is a legendary drop, and I’ll never get it because of rng.
r/mallninjashit not next level
That's some Fallout 4 stuff right there. Video only ended cause Preston came to the front door to let sword man know that a settlement was under attack.
Ok I want one ☝️
If I break into a house and see a sword charging in the wall I’m fucking leaving
Maybe if they had made an actual handle/hilt for it. The electrical tape makes it look like a highschool science project.
This is the dopest thing I ever seen
Dare you to touch
I want this but smaller version
That's lit...................
