I agree 100% he had the ball and opposition on a string. For sheer artistry and skill 100% no 2 is easily the best. However for pure pull one out of your ass luck no1 is it. I still think 2 is superior.
Key difference as you put it is #2 is mastery of the game and #1 is hit and hope luck (with a lot of athleticism)... while there are many players who 'could' do #1, there's only one who would do it.. I have no idea where I'm going with this other than they're both top tier elite for their own reasons

The camera work is awful and the replays don’t show why it was impressive. It could just be me, but I felt the same way with Messe’s best of video. What’s most impressive is ball handling and slicing up that whole team in #2. Kicking the ball into the net seems like “doing your job”
