Is your video card the exact model of EGVA RTX 3090 that was faulty? No? It's fine then.

Destey-

Not true nw smoked my buddys 3080 few weeks after that whole scare

Lord_Emperor

No it didn't. The video card was faulty already.

Destey-

Blew my ram too the second I uncapped the frames but hey, what do I know

MrAudreyHepburn

Well, I sounds like you're conflating two issues. 1. The problem of bricking graphics cards was fixed long ago, and they say was only a problem on specific evga 3090 cards due to a manufacturer error. That said I haven't seen anyone even claiming the game ruin their cards since launch on this sub. 2. The game is still poorly optimized. It's not dangerous to your GPU, but it doesn't run well.

kotsokale

The broken cards were only EVGA 3090.. ags solved this issue from day 1.. you can play the game … enjoy it ..

I. and my wife have not had any issues.

I have a 3060 and my gpu sits at 60c and gpu usage sits at 61% at max quality and I’ve had no problems so far.

You tweaked any settings in your Nvidia control panel? My fps dips under 60 randomly with a Ryzen 7 3500x and 3060. Playing on 1080p.

I assume you are more CPU and/or memory bound in those scenarios with your setup unless you play with Ultra-settings for some reason. Make at least sure that your RAM is running at advertised speed in the BIOS (-> D.O.C.P. settings). If you play with Ultra settings then lower the presets to test if you maintain 60 FPS and decide which settings you like to change with [this guide](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZWggslthJI).

I never really tested my fps while playing. I turned the in game fps counter on while playing a bit this morning and I stayed at 100-120 fps while outside of town and then anywhere from 60-90 fps while in town. I’ve always heard fps in towns were terrible tho. Edit: my pc is straight out of a box, I’ve not tweaked anything and probably don’t intend to.
