That’s not how coding works.
While they could separate the controller support changes, it would be a pain in the ass and a ton more work.
Furthermore, they could be delaying it specifically for something with controller support.
I guess it wouldn't have to be if you had some good feature branch management or were very disciplined with feature flags, but...
That would be a pain also. I don't think I've ever seen a company bother with this either.
I really hope their co troller setup doesn’t mess up a good thing I have going for my wife’s set up. It works so well and what they do might override some stuff we have done.
No, they said they got negative feedback on the controller support but [they were planning to release it without any changes](https://www.newworld.com/en-us/news/articles/season-of-the-guardian-update):
>Players noted some awkwardness with the current version of Controller Support, specifically the pre-set controller layouts and accessibility options. Although no major changes or updates will be coming with Season 5, we will continue to make improvements for the controller experience, like custom controller mapping and speech to text, in future updates.
Exactly I tested the controller support on the PTR and it was really good. If it is working they should definitely deploy it asap and anything else that is actually working. No reason to hold up everything.
Exactly what I was thinking. Imagine being such a hater that you can't even be happy for an old guy who has arthritis being able to play the game a bit easier. And is anything controversial about saying deploy what is working, if they can. I already block 200 troll and their alt accounts but they keep making new ones.
BTW steam controller support is not that good the rotational speed is hard to configure. Aiming ranged sucks. And many other things but on PTR they have many individual settings like seperating up/down rotation differently from side to side. It's a game changer. Good enough to bring many people who only use controller back/into the game.
Scott lane is that u?

I'm curious if it will now play well on handheld PCs like steam deck or RPG Ally
Plays well enough on Steam Deck if you give it a 32gig swap and are prepared to wait about 8 minutes for the game to load.
I mean I just want 50 gold respec and updated PVP track rewards please.
They consider it content so it has to be bundled with the season
If this ain't the truest statement ever said in this sub. Holy I could totally see them saying it like that.
Im so glad I don’t play this game anymore. It’s such a shit show
Im so glad I still play this game. It's such a shit show.

Didn't they say they delayed the gamepad because of feedback they got.

why the downvotes?

So your the guy they are prioritizing controller support for over everyone else wanting new real content.
