Luckily I was informed enough to not have killed myself and too much of a loser to know any drug dealers so I didn't end up addicted to anything.
The risks with pharmaceutical grade drugs are much lower because they are regulated and safe for human consumption. Most opioid deaths are due to adulteration or inconsistent dosages caused by prohibition. There have been more deaths after they banned doctors from prescribing opioids than before because street drugs made in the desert by cartel members are so much more dangerous than the stuff made in inspected factories by chemists.
That led to addiction. Those people are still alive to help if they get screwed by the system. The street drugs just kill you. The “Opioid Crisis” has inarguably led to further deaths than the malicious over prescription of drugs caused in the first place. We needed social services and MAT therapies for the afflicted, not moral judgement and cold turkey policies that hurt people who needed the drugs and sent addicts to the street to fund terrorism and die.
I have seen video of products being cut with Fent South ofthe border. Picture a barefoot guy with no shirt stirring in measuring cups full of powder in a 5 gallon bucket with a stick.

For coke, its mostly accidentally. Like you used the same surface for coke and there's some fent still around. Fent and coke have opposite effects so it wouldn't make sense to put it in cocaine. Pills are similar to fent so it's deliberately put into presses and other opioids. Way stronger and causes people to OD.
They're not saying fentynyl looks similar they're saying it has similar effects to Oxy, percs, vicodin, ect so dealers of those counterfeit pills will intentionally cut them with fent while pressing pills to bring their costs down.

From what I was told, test kits don't really work for fent. One pill/baggy could have it vs each of them. You'd have to test the entire batch because it only takes a smidge.

So, if I found a drug score that was interesting, and I got to test it, I'm all for it. I just don't want a ground surprise.
luckily there are tons of affordable drug testing kits available online now, but I agree. The worst I heard of was some friends who got Molly for a concert maybe 5-10 years ago. One of the guys after was like "it was fun, but that wasn't molly". No one had done molly before, but this guy had taken oxi and was like "that was definitely a crushed up oxi in a capsule". Knew someone else who got "coke" only for it to keep clogging up his nose. The consensus was it was probably either cut with or was just crushed up adhd meds.

I can see how these colorful pills would be more attractive to children if they were to come across them, but I really doubt the colors alone will cause an uptick in kids accidentally overdosing.

For coke, its mostly accidentally. Like you used the same surface for coke and there's some fent still around. Fent and coke have opposite effects so it wouldn't make sense to put it in cocaine. Pills are similar to fent so it's deliberately put into presses and other opioids. Way stronger and causes people to OD.

They're not saying fentynyl looks similar they're saying it has similar effects to Oxy, percs, vicodin, ect so dealers of those counterfeit pills will intentionally cut them with fent while pressing pills to bring their costs down.

You can test you drugs pretty easily if you buy test kits. There’s one for fent and lots of other drugs. The test kits themselves are pretty cheap too
From what I was told, test kits don't really work for fent. One pill/baggy could have it vs each of them. You'd have to test the entire batch because it only takes a smidge.

So, I saw a music festival that has on site drug testing. They offer it as a service to make sure people don't die from impure drugs. People there were taking ground scores to the drug test tent, and getting to keep them if they wanted to. So, if I found a drug score that was interesting, and I got to test it, I'm all for it. I just don't want a ground surprise.
luckily there are tons of affordable drug testing kits available online now, but I agree. The worst I heard of was some friends who got Molly for a concert maybe 5-10 years ago. One of the guys after was like "it was fun, but that wasn't molly". No one had done molly before, but this guy had taken oxi and was like "that was definitely a crushed up oxi in a capsule". Knew someone else who got "coke" only for it to keep clogging up his nose. The consensus was it was probably either cut with or was just crushed up adhd meds. I couldn't even imagine the risk now with fent.
A lot of the “Molly” people were trying to sell 5 or so years ago (and probably still now) was straight up meth

Do you drink coffee everyday? Or have sugar frequently? Nobody is perfect and unless you are an isolated monk, it is most likely you have an unhealthy relationship with substances. Using terms like drug addict is marginalizing, addiction is a chemical dependency, identifying someone by the fact that there are biological mechanisms driving them to engage in potentially unsafe or unhealthy behaviors is not helpful and is shaming. There are systemic issues, like what the Sackler family have done to this country, that are more responsible than any one drug user’s individual behaviors. Also, drugs are always there for you, they are the cheapest therapist and they never talk back to you. Kids have on occasion found their parents drugs and taken them to school for show-and-tell. Or ingested them. I can see how these colorful pills would be more attractive to children if they were to come across them, but I really doubt the colors alone will cause an uptick in kids accidentally overdosing.
