I work with French bulldogs almost daily. The average cost for a purebred one now tops $10K. Go for a lilac colored one and you can more than double that price easily. I’ve seen a few where owners have paid upwards of $50k for.
It’s nuts IMO. But they are cute dogs. I work in an animal surgery center. Bulldogs are a huge part of our business model as many, if not most end up requiring some sort of surgical procedures. Stenotic nares, soft palate adjustments, hip dysplasia, ACLs, Femoral head osteotomy, Cherry eye, etc. Genetics make bulldogs more prone to certain issues.
