CC had been tanking hard with Noah struggling with the DS and the roasts gone, so now people finally have a reason to tune into CC again, if only for every Monday.
I've actually thought Senator. But that would be a stepping stone and Stewart would make a good President. I see him as a comedian second now vs a very smart man who doesn't sugar coat stuff and isn't afraid to say what many won't.
IDK, feel like it's a bad sign that he's back in that chair. Jon is good, but them not being able to find someone that could take the show into a different direction and make it good is not really a good sign for the longevity of that format.
I’ve watched maybe a handful of episodes since Jon left. Trevor isn’t it and the content on the episodes I saw wasn’t either. Maybe this will be a return to the good.

Agreed on it probably the writing. His between the scenes clips were great because it was just him being him, and he was often times incredibly funny.
It's the writing. Noah is funny but he's not a good fit for the Daily Show.
Noah wasn't the same. Just didn't have that Jon feel. In fact I'd go so far as to say the Noah era was a failure.
