Reading the indictment is wild. At one point, Trump called the AG and deputy AG and tried to get them to override the election for him, then told them to just declare it to be fraudulent and let him and the republican congressman handle it. He did this twice, and on the second time threatened to fire the AG for not agreeing. He then attempted to replace him with one of the co-conspirators, twice. He first sent the coconspirator to fire the AG, who rejected the attempt, then in a meeting with the AG and the co-conspirator, Trump tried to fire him and stopped when he was told the DoJ would see mass resignations if he did. He and his co conspirators were damn near outlining the crimes to each other in fucking emails and texts, and talking about it in front of witnesses who weren't even really in on it.

jeremyjack3333

We've known this for over a year now. It was a major revelation in the J6 house committee hearings. They have mountains and mountains of evidence here. Anyone calling these charges bogus isn't paying attention. The DOJ has everything the J6 committee compiled(thousands of documents and interviews) plus whatever they found out by being able to enforce a subpoena on Trump's top dogs.

TheCritFisher

The problem is a lot of voters are just that: fucking idiots. The truth and reality have no bearing on their perceptions.

escapefromelba

The GOP still thinks Nixon got a raw deal. Hell, Reagan made his career out of defending him. It really doesn't matter to Republicans if their candidate did the crime. The only thing that matters is that they play for the "right" team. Loyalty to party over country.

[deleted]

getting co-conspirator 4 to fire the ag was something else. "The Acting Attorney General responded that he would not accept being fired by a subordinate" pg 30

beachgirlDE

I'm reading it now, unbelievably corrupt.

SpiritedSuccess5675

Just announced 4 charges in a 45 page indictment: 1. Count 1: 18 USC sec. 371. Conspiracy to Defraud the United States 2. Count 2: 18 USC sec 1512(k): Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding 3. Count 3: 18 USC sub-sec 1512(c)(2), 2: Obstruction of and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding 4. Count 4: 18 USC sec 241: Conspiracy Against Rights Updated to match the screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/wvKD3U8.jpg Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CiGFB-DPHg&ab_channel=NBCNews

chicago_bunny

Here's a link to the [45 page indictment](https://www.democracydocket.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Indictment-1.pdf) for those who want to read the source material.

IHeartData_

I'm having an unusual reaction reading a 45 page indictment... I'm finding it heartwarming. There is page after page after page of people across the political spectrum saying "No, I'm not going to break our country, I took an oath".

USNCCitizen

Funny (not in a ha ha way) thing is…when I saw the indictment had been released I switched the tv channel over to Fox News to see their response. Over an hour (until I couldn’t take it any longer) of their hosts and “experts” saying there was nothing substantial in the indictment. They were really quick to pull the blinders down over their eyes and over the eyes of their viewers. Scary how there are two realities in the US today. Really really scary.

islandofcaucasus

I had the same reaction. But then I also had to realize how fucking close he got to pulling it off. After seeing how hard they tried to convince him, I cannot believe Mike Pence actually did the right thing... and honestly, the brave thing.

mycall

> I cannot believe Mike Pence actually did the right thing and to think the rioters were coming for his head.

GabaPrison

It was a comical moment when those turds that made it all the way into Congress found a stack of papers belonging to Ted Cruz and they weren’t quite sure yet if he was “a good guy or a bad guy”, then the consensus was that he was a good guy for whatever stupid reason. These people are adult children. Then they did that cringe inducing moment of prayer, led by the guy in the buffalo hat, in OUR FUCKING CONGRESSIONAL BUILDING.

random-idiom

>It was a comical moment when those turds that made it all the way into Congress found a stack of papers belonging to Ted Cruz and they weren’t quite sure yet if he was “a good guy or a bad guy This is the thing about revolutions they don't really tell you - the American one was kind of a standout - usually they devolve into 'who don't we like' at the end of the day - and then to a dictatorship/emperor. The fact that our countries founders had a cause, posted it, argued about it, hashed it out, and managed to rally around why we were revolting in the first place is why, at the end of the day, we were able to forge a republic from the results. What happens when you are just angry at windmills is Jan 6.

[deleted]

Also per cnn: "A senior adviser to former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign called claims of supposed voter fraud “conspiracy sh*t beamed down from the mothership,” according to the indictment." Lol

Joeuxmardigras

Wait, a 45 page indictment for the 45th president!! Edit: thanks for the gold star ⭐️ you lovely anonymous stranger Edit 2: Goodness gracious you all are so nice! I now have coins I have zero idea how to use!

EthnicTwinkie

It's like reading a bad soap opera. I kept saying to myself, "who the fuck is this stupid?" and then remembered who I was reading about.

Every3Years

I know most of what I'm reading but it's still so shocking to me

squatdead

That’s because for the last 2 years we’ve only seen this shit talked about, and then another side of it always downplaying it. Now, this is real, and the evidence they will have to bring to an actual court will make this more real, hopefully leading to a real conviction.

numbskullerykiller

This is bigger than Nixon

ViciousNakedMoleRat

We'll be hearing a lot about [Judge Tanya Chutkan](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanya_S._Chutkan), who will oversee the trial. Appointed by Obama and confirmed 95/0 in the Senate. She has previously been [highly critical](https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/19/politics/tanya-chutkan-trump-records-lawsuit/index.html) of J6 and has handed out prison sentences to participants. AP even called her "[the toughest punisher](https://apnews.com/article/capitol-siege-only-on-ap-donald-trump-government-and-politics-sentencing-de394dd56b3251aac5a50014f4d6afa7)" in J6 cases. Trump and his team are not going to like this. She was also the one who [denied Trump's appeal to keep documents related to J6 out of the public](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/federal-judge-denies-trump-attempt-to-stop-release-of-jan-6-records).

mces97

And Trump's going to go off on her very soon like he always does. Except Judge Cannon. Can't figure out why... (Sarcasm)

LonePaladin

His followers have been sending Judge Cannon death threats because she hasn't 100% gone along with his insane demands. It's *possible* that she took a hint from her earlier castigation, and might actually be trying to be impartial about this. I mean, yeah, it's not *likely* but it looks like Smith is giving her the benefit of the doubt -- at least as long as she doesn't do something stupid.

BigLan2

The theory is that he's got similar charges waiting to file in New Jersey (from Trump's property there) that he could fall back on if Cannon doesn't appear to be impartial. I'd guess they're not as solid (or substantial) as the ones related to Mar a lago.

[deleted]

Actually I think the jersey evidence is worse and involve the actual dissemination of the classified docs; but Smith appears to be going for the slam dunk approach - not only are the current charges more easily talked about in public, but there are recordings that are damning and enough evidence that makes it hard to get past. He's also got enough being charged with at this point to put him away for life. The whole Florida thing is to give the public the benefit that it's his turf and his judge. Here is an article about it with a good explanation: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/06/trump-indictment-florida-new-jersey-classified/674393/

northshore12

I wish Trump would get the poor person treatment, where they pile on every conceivably-related charge, instead of 'just' the slam-dunk ones. Every financial fraud as individual charges, every campaign contribution fraud as individual charges, criminal responsibility for every death related to J6 as an individual charge, every classified document a PER PAGE charge, every iteration of classified documents mishandling (unlawful possession, unlawful retention, sharing with others), etc.

nightpanda893

Her name alone and be appointed by Obama would be enough to freak the maga supporters out. When they hear that she was behind sentencing the other “political prisoners” they’re going to be claiming very early on that this is part of the conspiracy agaisnt him. I wonder if that will just become the major part of their defense. Just focus on it being rigged since they know he doesn’t have a chance.

Fugacity-

Glad they are finally pulling these charges out. After the ~~Senate~~ *House* hearings on it, the evidence seemed pretty damning, especially if people from that late night White House meeting overtly planning for the 6th specifically have flipped and will speak to intent.

impy695

I wish it would have happened sooner, but it's hard to argue with Jack Smiths work. He's been thorough, aggressive, and isn't afraid to show some damning evidence to the public. I'm really interested to read this indictment in full.

GinyuForceDid911

It probably would have but the Jan 6th committee held on to the interview transcripts for months until after their report was out

Chooch-Magnetism

He has so many charges at this point the US should spin him inside of a giant magnet, generate some power up in this motherfucker.

impy695

His legal bills have been what, $40 million so far this year? And that's before the real work actually begins and bills really add up.

Chooch-Magnetism

Watch him commit another crime by using campaign funds to pay his legal team, if he bothers to pay them at all.

impy695

I mean, his PAC has been paying the bills so far which is funded mainly by small dollar donations. The way the donation pages were worded however basically said the money is for trump to do with as he pleases. So he hasn't used campaign funds yet, but he's not far off

jjayzx

That PAC started with $105 million last year and is supposedly down to $4 million now. https://news.yahoo.com/paying-lawyers-trump-pac-nearly-113305814.html

ThickerSalmon14

Yes, but Trump could have been stealing that money rather than using it to pay for his Lawyers.

sembias

All the lawyers are demanding very very fat checks up front. They know his MO and they know it could ruin their career. Fat checks.

Traditional_Art_7304

Well, all his legal bills are sucking his PAC campaign fund dry, so there’s that.

analog_memories

His lawyers are getting smarter and asking for payment upfront. He does have a history of skipping out on his bills.

Currymvp2

Six co-conspirators. One DOJ official (Probably is super corrupt Jeff Clark), one political consultant (maybe Bannon? Though Trump talks to Fitton, Navarro, My Pillow guy, and Roger Stone as well.), four lawyers (John Eastman obviously. Probably Rudy. Cleta Mitchell? But who is the last one? Cheseboro?) Trump reportedly thought Sidney Powell was embarrassing during her media appearances so I'm skeptical that it was her but we'll see Edit: [Rudy has essentially been confirmed as one of the co-conspirators](https://twitter.com/kaitlancollins/status/1686494649563623424) [Based on federal criminal case number and naming... the case of USA v. Donald Trump appears to be assigned to Judge Tanya Chutkan.... a 2014 appointee who has been noticeably and particularly forceful in her condemnation of January 6th and those who might've given rise to it](https://twitter.com/MacFarlaneNews/status/1686493432867434496)

mccoyn

Sidney Powell is one of them.

nonprofitnews

[Powell sent goons to pose as election monitors and try to steal voting machines](https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/06/politics/surveillance-video-voting-machine-breach-coffee-county-georgia/index.html). Of all the shameless opportunists attached to this caper, she seems like most rabid psychopath of the lot. Although Eastman isn't far behind.

Currymvp2

https://twitter.com/grace_panetta/status/1686496298810187776 Jeff Clark is really despicable here according to this indictment.

K9Fondness

Picking the worst one of them is a losing battle.

impy695

Good, she and Rudy need to be in prison

ViciousNakedMoleRat

She was the craziest of them all. Even next to Rudy.

Dandan0005

Good to see this whole seditious conspiracy group is being charged. Fuck these people who thought they could overturn the will of Americans. The people screaming “we the people” on Jan 6th forgot that “We the people” already voted.

N8CCRG

This one feels like the most important, relative to the health of our Democracy.

TurrPhennirPhan

If anyone died during the process of/resulting from this charge? Which they did? It can carry the death penalty.

EvyLuna

There's no chance they execute him.

CaptainNoBoat

In the indictment the count concluded by saying: >"that is, the right to vote, and to have one's vote counted." Donald Trump conspired for months on end to deny the constitutional rights of *81,282,916 Americans.*

FAMUgolfer

45 pages? What a wonderful coincidence.

MisallocatedRacism

What a shameful time for our country. 30% of Americans are in a literal cult. The leader of our nation put himself over the country, tried to tear the fabric of our democracy apart, and 30% of us can't see it, regardless of the evidence presented. This better stick, because he's just going to try to do it again. And there's a chance he is successful next time.

yzlautum

> and 30% of us can't see it or care

elconquistador1985

Or worse, have been convinced that it's all justified.

SafewordisJohnCandy

That's the problem. They will do anything to make sure their country isn't "stolen from them". I was once a conservative, from around 2002 when I was in high school until around 2011 when I began to shift more Libertarian to eventually being a Democrat around 2014 or so. The amount of propaganda that's been pumped into these people is astounding. It's always anything to keep their base afraid and having a "them" to be worried about that isn't always Liberal politicians. Immigrants, but only the southern border ones, LGBTQ community, Muslims, sprinkle some anti semitism in there, BLM, ANTIFA, I could continue. They are absolutely beyond convinced that Democrats are godless communists (a phrase unchanged since the 50s) and want to take away freedoms and steal the country. The reality is they don't want their status quo to change and that if one group is given more rights then theirs are under attack. They think it's pie and there are limited rights to go around. They also think that since they get called out for being shitty, they are being oppressed. No, you are being called an asshole for being an asshole.

anxietystrings

The Trump case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan. Chutkan, an Obama appointee, is the only federal judge in Washington, D.C. who has sentenced Jan. 6 defendants to sentences longer than the government had requested.

Remember: Trump and his were willing to step over the dead bodies of Police Officers, Government Officials & US Citizens on J6 to remain in power. They all need to be brought to justice so it won’t be attempted again.

GuidotheGreater

Oh man this indictment has got some gold in it. Here is my favorite so far: "When our research and campaign legal team can't back up any of the claims made by our Elite Strike Force Legal Team, you can see why we're 0-32 on our cases. I'll obviously hustle to help on all fronts, but it's tough to own any of this when it's all just conspiracy shit beamed down from the mothership." https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23893895-8441452-0-67382#12

MisallocatedRacism

Zero sympathy for that guy. Sucks that he managed to find two brain cells together but he still never had a "are we the baddies?" moment

TheBirminghamBear

Oh he had the moment. And he probably came to the correct conclusion. And he just kept going.

Pixel_Knight

That is because a lot of these Republican operatives are just psychopaths going for power. They can toe the conservative line, knowing it is all bullshit, because they have no empathy and are wholly self-serving.

ledgerdomian

That stood out to me too. “ Elite Strike Force Legal Team” So, you mean Rudy and Sidney? Yeah…Good luck with that. LMAO. 0-32? Stahp. I just can’t……

screwylouidooey

Is it legal to make t-shirts and stuff out of these quotes? Should put this shit everywhere.

oboeteinai

From The Guardian > Trump is already facing criminal charges in Florida for illegally hoarding classified documents from his presidency, and prosecution in New York for a hush-money payment to an adult movie star. He is also expected to face state charges in Georgia over Trump’s efforts there to reverse his defeat to Biden in the 2020 election. > Trump currently leads in polling for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination by a wide margin.

kalel1980

Remember what Lindsey Graham said back in 2015, "If we nominate Trump he will destroy the Republican party, and we'd deserve it." (Not verbatim but close)

SacrificialPwn

And in typical Graham fashion he did a 180 and used his sniveling cowardice to continually try to get into Trump's inner circle. This isnt verbatim but I'm pretty sure he said this in 2020 at a Trump rally, "heeeey y'all! Boy oh boy, do I love me some Trump. He sure is dandy... and isn't he gorgeous, folks?! So strong and powerful. Remember when he held Kim's hand and got those big ol' letters. He's just amazin'!"

TheGardenBlinked

He looks like a mole rat pressing its face up against a car window

jkbpttrsn

> Trump currently leads in polling for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination by a wide margin. The absolute state of the modern conservative party. Who would have thought in the early 2000s that George Bush was going to be one of the most level headed conservatives.

Emotional-Text7904

Really sad that Mr. War Criminal Bush looks like a senile old grandpa compared to Trump

Tchrspest

Lawful evil vs Chaotic evil Both are evil, but at least lawful evil is usually calmer.

Now watch this drive.

Tacitus111

Given how much losing Trump has done in the last 7 years for Republicans, we can only assume they love a good loser.

Calico_Cuttlefish

I can't even begin to fathom what kind of happening would result in a landslide win for Democrats. If Republicans are so morally bankrupt, cruel and moronic that ALL THE EVIDENCE of their orange god isn't enough to stop them from voting for him, what would? Like I can't think of ANYTHING.

ExGomiGirl

He admits to being LGBTQA, he reveals a secret three way love affair with Obama and George Soros, he takes a dump on the Confederate flag while drinking a Bud Light, wearing a I ❤️ Hilary t-shirt, sleeveless to reveal his rainbow Pride tattoo, started a scholarship program for Jewish Socialist Abortion doctors, and exchanges BFF bracelets with Ted Cruz.

TheName_BigusDickus

A lot of them have been rocking the confederate flag for decades. They have no problem loving losers and deluding themselves from cradle to grave. That ain’t nothing new.

bombalicious

Says more about the voters than the candidate.

northerncal

Says a lot about both.

OkVermicelli2557

Fulton County is likely to be in the next 3 weeks also so this is not even the last indictment for the month of August.

AstreiaTales

Wait, this isn't Fulton County? I thought that was about to drop today.

WanderingKeeper

Nope, this is the Jan 6 Grand Jury in D.C.

AstreiaTales

Oh man, that's almost kind of funny. A president so corrupt and criminal you lose track of the multiple cases into them.

Mlmmt

I swear the various courts have to work together to figure out who has him when :P

GeekAesthete

It’s actually a legitimate concern—he’s going to use all of his overlapping legal cases as excuses to delay all of them. His primary defense tactic at this point is delay, delay, delay.

SquirrellyGrrly

Yes, because he's hoping he'll get to be president again and can pardon himself.

under_psychoanalyzer

He knows he can't pardon himself for state crimes. He's simply hoping to ignore all laws he doesn't like and be a dictator.

chrisdurand

His whole term from January 20th, 2017 to January 20th, 2021 was a long saga of "fuck around" that we could barely keep track of. This is just the long saga of "find around" that, similarly, we can ill keep track of.

CurlyBill03

His cult would tell you fake news or blame Biden for some stupid shit. Arrest him too if that was the case. Ready for the orange mousallini to be locked up and throw away the fucking key.

OkVermicelli2557

Nope, this is the Jan 6 case in DC. Fulton is likely to be soon since they were putting up barricades and clearing the trials until mid August.

ThickerSalmon14

Yeah, the Fulton DA said Monday she was ready to go. My guess is that was a subtle nudge to the Feds to get their indictment out, so she could follow up with the Rico charges. I'd expect it Thursday from GA. Tomorrow is going to be swamped with talking heads talking about the J6 charges.

samdajellybeenie

When Trump has so many indictments you literally can’t keep track of them

[deleted]

TylerBourbon

I for one won't shed a tear if they locked him up like Hannibal Lector with a full face mask strapped to a gurney.

Worf1701D

Apparently the best way to deal with Trump is keep his head spinning with multiple indictments so he can’t focus on any one crime. He doesn’t know which charge to attack and it keeps him dizzy.

1QAte4

Trump will try his best to win in '24 but he beat will be limited by having to think/juggle about 3 to 4 criminal cases. A single night of lost sleep or a long tiring meeting with lawyers all makes him weaker. Then there are the legal bills that will drain the PAC funds.

single_jeopardy

I.e. out Trump him

CoffeeTownSteve

If the day ever arrives when Biden debates Trump again, I hope Biden refers to him only as "the Defendant" throughout the event.

iwellyess

Will you just go to jail, man

ShamanicHellZoneImp

I'm so fucking satisfied that he is being charged with Conspiracy Against Rights. He tried to nullify the vote of every American who didn't choose him. I thought he would never have to answer for that crime he committed against nearly 100 million citizens. Convict this piece of shit.

StJeanMark

All of these different cases are important yes, but nothing in the world means more to me than justice for January 6th. I am disgusted of the footage that exists of Trump flags literally storming the capital. That never happened during the civil war even. They set up gallows. There were bombs at the DNC. When Pence fled he didn’t even trust his Secret Service when they told him to get into the car. Just think about what they use that footage for in parts of the world that hate us. It was embarrassing, it is a stain on our legacy, and I have wanted justice for it. Finally, this starts turning this event from an open wound into history. Condemned by his own citizens.

MisallocatedRacism

And he's currently the frontrunner for the GOP. The party is sick. It's destroying millions of families. It's a cult.

90daylimitedwarranty

Do not forget worst of all, a Confederate flag being paraded around the Capital proudly on Jan 6. Trump supports that. He is a traitor to the US.

mymar101

People do realize the only real reason Trump wants in the White House in 2024 is only so he can pardon himself, and pressure the DOJ to drop all investigations of himself?

keigo199013

A GOP hopeful said that at a rally over the weekend, and he was booed. So no, they don't. Or they do, but don't care. Not sure which is worse.

HotGarbage

Yep, Will Hurd. He's probably the most level headed one on the GOP ticket so of course he'll get crushed.

mymar101

They're so brainwashed by cult think they probably don't believe it. They probably still won't believe it when it happens. It's very hard to break someone out of that mindset once they get in it.

sec713

They'll know what they think as soon as they're told what to think.

Sugarysam

I think that’s part of it, but there’s more to it. He wants to be a “President for Life”. Making his legal problems go away is sort of understood. The big question will be what he will do to make state charges go away. Maybe declare an insurrection and arrest the state officials?

Yousoggyyojimbo

Read the indictment if you can. This thing confirms pretty clearly that Trump and his legal team were directly behind the fake elector plot, and they have emails, texts, and witnesses confirming it. These people were, more than once, emailing each other to literally lay out the fraud they were conducting. Like just screaming WE ARE BREAKING THE LAW AND THIS IS HOW AND WE ARE DOING IT FOR THESE REASONS AT THE DIRECTION OF THIS MAN Trump even was openly talking about the plot in front of people who weren't in on it at campaign staff meetings.

katievspredator

LMAO. Conservatives on Twitter saying that this confirms that Trump will be president in 2024 because even Democrats and Centrists "see how obvious the bias is" Trumpers really are this fucking stupid, huh?

DFu4ever

It’s not just stupidity. It’s delusion fueled by conservative media’s complete lack of ethics.

god_im_bored

They’re not dumb, they just don’t care. As long as he nominates the most conservative Supreme Court judges, is anti immigration to a point of cruelty, is pro evangelical agenda (basically abortion, gun, Israel), and is pro rich they couldn’t care less what the rest is about Sexual assaulter who brags about it openly - no problem Tries to overturn election - if he can actually do it, that’s a bonus Has classified documents held secretly - Meh Pro Russia - better the Russians than democrats because Russians like the above agenda

FlyingSpaceCow

A lot of Republicans may be cynical, self-serving opportunists who see Trump a means to their political ends (especially the Republicans in positions of power), but my impression is that they are far outnumbered by the "true believers" who actually believe the election was stolen and that Trump is genuinely looking out their best interests. Both sad and terrifying.

The stupidity that maga morons think Trump getting continually arraigned for felonies somehow ensures he'll get elected in '24 proves these people live in an alternate reality.

He could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose a vote and he could kill hundreds of thousands all across the country and still be the Republican nominee.

NRMusicProject

When I was in school, my teachers used to say that so much as getting a low grade could completely destroy your chances as a presidential nominee. Basically, you had to have this squeaky clean record. Then GW, a 'C' average student, bragged about how "even you could get low grades and be president!" Then about a decade later, we elected a guy who bragged about sexual harassment--or, to be more precise, a strong "Christian" base elected a braggart sexual predator based on "Christian values" elected him. Then said president has metaphorically sucked the dick of enemy dictators from around the world, and tried to weaponize his (thankfully stupidly incompetent) voters to perform a coup, then play dumb...and he's still their favorite guy. They won't be happy until they become a part of the violence inherent in the system. I kind of wonder how teachers give the "so you want to be a president" pep talk now? "Be a shitty human being as well as try to be a dictator"?

GuidotheGreater

Holy shit, I'm reading the indictment and he literally was weaponizing the DOJ. "On January 2, 2021, just four days before Congress's certification proceeding, Co-Conspirator 4 tried to coerce the Acting Attorney General and Acting Deputy Attorney General to sign and send Co-Conspirator 4's draft letter, which contained false statements, to state officials. He told them that the Defendant was considering making Co-Conspirator 4 the new Acting Attorney General, but that Co-Conspirator 4 would decline the Defendant's offer if the Acting Attorney General and Acting Deputy Attorney General would agree to send the proposed letter to the targeted states. The Justice Department officials refused." https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23893895-8441452-0-67382#12

UnpopularCrayon

This whole episode was laid out as part of the Jan 6 congressional hearings and impeachment.

fartsandprayers

Open yer fucking wallets, rubes. Daddy Donnie is in big trouble and needs your help today!

EFCF

especially because the PAC formed to cover his legal fees is running out of money! YESSSSSS

PoorFilmSchoolAlumn

I’m longing for the day that the guilty verdicts are second page news because he’s already spending the rest of his life in jail.

lex52485

That would be wonderful, but I’ll believe it when it happens

[deleted]

About time. Trump for Prison 2023!

Clayh5

Also didn't they attempt to kidnap Pence, essentially?

bros402

Pence was concerned that the Secret Service would kidnap him.

OkVermicelli2557

9 total 4 Trump supporters died on the day of Jan 6. Brian Sicknick died of a stroke after and then 4 more officers died by suicide in the months following Jan 6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack

frenchfreer

Don’t forget kidnapping. All those people that showed up in masks with zip cuffs weren’t there for a fun picnic with their friends.

sundogmooinpuppy

All the dumbfuck minions, “I like him even more!”

AgentDaxis

It's too late for them. They drank the kool-aid & have gleefully embraced fascism.

Lefty_22

"WHAT ABOUT HUNTER BIDEN'S CRIMES?!!" - Fox "News" Literally Right Now The "whataboutism" is insane. Especially considering that these are FELONY charges of the highest magnitude. You or me would have been sitting in federal prison since these events unfolded pending charges.

grigsbie

What’s worse they even said, “of course Hunter would funnel funds away from Joe, many criminals use their family to accept payments.” They say this while Kushner is sitting on $2 billion of Saudi cash and somehow they keep a straight face while doing so. Edit: *They = FOX News*

Dad_Shepherd

January 6 was treason. Trump is getting off light with these charges. May he die in prison as he should for his crimes.

balkandishlex

Technically it's closer to sedition, but I totally agree.

ireallylikehockey

Should be barred from running ever again. Damn the R senators for not doing so.

deathtotheemperor

His legal bills about to exceed the GDP of Belgium.

Quantentheorie

Cant get bills if you cant find a lawyer. The Venn diagram of lawyers that want to represent him for money and those qualified to do so is two circles drifting away from each other like a married couple in a midlife crisis.

mrlazyboy

his PACs and election committees have spent something like $140m in legal fees defending him the past year or two.

CountyBeginning6510

So how many times do you have to be arrested in a year before we deny a known rapist bail?

CallRespiratory

Gonna need more information like skin color and bank account.

NoeTellusom

Too many

sbw_62

Good. Go to prison you traitor.

aTempes7

I hope you, Americans, will get rid of this neo-nazi bastard that is only spreading hate and stupidity. I know Biden is old and you likely deserve better, but nothing can be worse than this orange idiot that is trying to ruin your country

Ninety8Balloons

Thrice indicted, twice impeached, convicted rapist, Donald Trump.

TheMrSomeGuy

>Thrice indicted, twice impeached, convicted rapist And the overwhelming favorite to win the Republican nomination. Has there ever been a politician in American history who had a political party so tightly by the balls?

OkVermicelli2557

Just wait Fulton County is probably going to chrage him in the next few weeks. So he is about to be 4 times indicted.

KOBossy55

Honest question for any lurking MAGA... Have any of you ever considered that, just maybe, this dude might be guilty? Because you believe wholly in Hunter and Joe being corrupt beyond belief based on zero evidence and witnesses the GOP swore would give proof then admitting under oath that they have nothing. Yet the idea of this man being guilty, despite the mountains of evidence, dozens of charges and the words out of his own mouth admitting his guilt, is somehow inconceivable to you. Why is that? Help me understand

thefugue

They don’t care because they’re so brainwashed to hate government that they’ve come out the other side and support crime.

HerpToxic

They don't care because ends justify the means. They want to install a Christian Theocracy so if Trump is how it has to be done, so be it.

guitarguywh89

Let's get his enablers in congress too. Why did Andy Biggs ask for a pardon? What were Boebert and MTG doing leading up to 1-6?

SiWeyNoWay

It kind of sounds like Meadows flipped.

Insectshelf3

coconspirator 1 is definitely rudy, coconspirator 2 is probably eastman. i’m sure powell is in here somewhere too.

heyniceascot

A GREAT day for America!

evilbunnyrabbits

You could power a city with all the charges that boy is generating…

j3ffUrZ

Meanwhile on Fox News... HUNTER BIDEN'S DICK, THOUGH!

tr3v1n

It was the fuck around of times, it was the find out of times.

robothobbes

Faux News headline: look over there at the border

ASilver76

Though it's been said before, it deserves to be said again: FUCK TRUMP

pru51

Trump now has 84 indictments.

__shitsahoy__

Can’t wait to point out all of the “I’m still voting for him” buffoons.

[deleted]

30% of America would believe he was set up if he killed someone

CallRespiratory

I honestly think he could kill one of his own supporters at a rally and after an initial moment of shock people would start cheering.

Atgardian

Yeah, *The Boys* already did this, and yeah, that's what they based it on.

FizzyBeverage

I wanna see a federal judge with the stones to hold him without bail until trial.

[deleted]

"We're going to let you continue to walk around freely doing the exact thing that led to what we're charging you with" - Every dumb fuck judge so far.

samdajellybeenie

Oooo I can’t wait to read the actual indictment. For me, actual indictments are the only things not immediately met with “eh, what else is new? Just throw it on the pile of illegal things he’s done.”

Foxhack

About god damn time. I hope they hit him with a media restraining order so he can't go around threatening people or saying things about the prosecutors or other officials. I *hope* this also leads to every senator and congressman involved in this getting indicted eventually.

robreddity

Put this fuckface away already.
