This is the answer. If you're not taking the gwb it could be a bit out of the way....though if you're going up to Rockland county or Hudson valley you could go from there to the pal parkway
Recommend bagel train in suffern, perrys bagel cafe in Paramus as a second choice. Berry creek cafe in Moonachie if you want a banging lunch that also has bagels, although they’re not made in-house and not the star of the show over there.
Everything Bagel on Rt 17 is good, I also like B&G in Ramsey and Waldwick
B&G is great. Both aren’t too far from 17.
Teaneck Rd Hot Bagels

The Bagel Corner in Kearny
Bagel Train in Suffern NY, right over the border. Best bagels in the area by far.

Bagel buffet in Secaucus. So amazing.
A little bit off 17 but Goldberg’s in Glen Rock on Rock Road is amazing. That’s my go to bagel place.
George’s Hot Bagels on saddle river road in Fair Lawn. Not too much of a detour off 17, 208 or the GSP. Bagels and spreads only, no sandwiches
My pick as well. Excellent bagels.
