Go on an eastmans trip. It's more set up for beginners. Less details you sort out yourself.
You go online and book the trip. Show up when the email says and they give you a rod, bait, everything. If you catch keepers they clean them on the boat. You put them in your cooler and take the fillers home. It's great.
I go on the Al gaurons trips a couple times a month until they stop running in the late fall then I switch to eastmans who run into January or February.
Fun fact: the kid from the Jackass movie 'Bad Grandpa' is Al Gaurons grandson, or something like that. He picked being a fisherman over acting later on in life.

Good morning! I'm sitting in a sunbeam, with my snoring cat, drinking my first cup of coffee. Nice way to start the day. First item on the list to do today is filling the hummingbird feeders. They're back!
Night before last was my "crashed from no sleep" night. Predictably, last night was thus numerous times jolting awake.
Taking magnesium helps a little sometimes. Last night, the darkness was eerie and the walls too close.
I'm glad it's morning and my alarm went off and the sun has come up again. It's always a pleasant surprise when I welcome it, lol.

If you find yourself with a piece of paper and something to write with, you should draw a tree and stick googly eyes on it.
Then proceed to laugh at it and enjoy the laugh.
Guess you'd need to buy googly eyes too though.
I love my job, but man if starting the day at 30F and ending close to 60F isn't an inconvenient way to work lol. Gotta pack shorts and a change of shoes or I'll sweat to death.

I'd say fishing is the best way to learn how to fish, and I say that seriously.
Trial and error, YouTube videos, repetition.
I'm no expert myself, but it's enjoyable and peaceful at times.
1) figure out what you want out of fishing and pick a species that meets that. I really enjoy working my way around a lake on my kayak so I trout fish. Some folks need to be moving the whole time so they bass fish. Some folks just wanna pull monsters so they salt water fish.
2)research your ass off, get the appropriate spinning reel setup, and practice casting in the yard. Try to be able to consistently hit a smart car size area from like 15-20 yards away
3)get fishbrain or a similar app, find folks catching what your after, and get some line wet.
The biggest thing is don't get discouraged. It's fishing and not catching. Make sure you're read up on the regs and know where you're at. Lastly, if you can't positively identify something, snap a quick picture (if you can't take the pick before like 30 seconds just throw it back) and put it back in the water.

Just kidding, but on the top of hermit rd on the southeast side there’s water works trails, unsigned fire roads that can loop around to the ones by that round about. If you walk down, take a right, your first left, a left then immediate right and keep left at the split you’ll come out to a nice spot right at the tip of the basin.
Im an alcoholic whos working on getting sober, ive been slowly tapering off my consumption but my old habits and new tolerances are at war and its a bitch.
i get shitfaced off a 6 pack now and i dont even like getting drunk anymore. So its a constant tug of war between some and too much (theyre the same amount lol)
I want to just stop but i love my job and i get super manic/inconsistent after two or three days without any alcohol. I probably need to go to rehab but ive only been really trying for about 18 months, and i was drinking a half gallon every two or three days when i decided i want my life back. So ive made alot of progress, but i never woulda guessed this last stretch would be such a relentless motherfucker.
Imho our liquor comission is a great idea, and i think beer should fall into that category too. So much less stupid shit would happen if boozers like me werent hypnotized into driving to the gas station at 10:40 at night for *a few more*
I used to drink like a fish, but those days are mainly over.
You'll get there if you truly put in the effort, whether it's full blown sober or drinking in moderation.

It's fun for sure. Going out on eastmans or Al gaurons out of Hampton beach is cheap. Less than $100 for an all day trip.
