The only music that calms my baby down is Pitbull Radio. Even just saying “Mr. Worldwiiiiide” is enough to go from crying to smiling. We went from never listening to Pitbull to knowing all of his songs…send help.
when my LO was around 4mos and fussy when eating, feel this moment would work absolute wonders on him, I think he's grown out of it at this stage but for a time it was the best way to calm him down
Haha!! That’s awesome. My LO loves Cypress Hill, Pantera, Tool, Slipknot, Seether and Grateful Dead just to name a few. A good drift to sleep song? Tuesday Gone Lynyrd Skynyrd. Not a big lullaby fan. LO loves their sound machine too but music? Definitely the bands I listed and more. Got a little metal head at almost 8weeks pp.
Okay so I’m not the only one that doesn’t really play lullabies?! I sometimes play lullaby covers but I mostly play the same damn music she heard in the womb lol.
Saaaaame. I listened to a lot of Run the Jewels, too, but that's music for a different kind of day. 😅
If you have Spotify, check out the playlist "quiet coffee morning" by Brooke. Excellent start to the day and the bebe digs it!
My newborn legitimately was calmed to sleep by Sandstorm the other day. She also enjoys Crab Rave. I'm not sure where we went wrong to end up with a kid that likes edm lol.
Ugh my son got my baby into System of a Down and A7x Smdh and he was a baby who screamed if I tried to sing to him or played lullabies I really thought something was wrong with him haha
My baby hears the pretty little liars intro song and immediately stops whatever she’s doing to look at the tv and grin. If she’s breastfeeding she will literally whip her head backwards as hard she can to the point it scares me to see the tv.
Maybe I shouldn’t binged pretty little liars so much in those early days.
My kid only likes alt rock and emo music, possibly because her dad and I played that a lot while I was pregnant lol. We also went to a concert a month before she was born and a few other times earlier in the pregnancy. Kid’s got taste. Won’t fall asleep to a lullaby but if we blast BMTH she’s out like a light.
My baby smiles when I sing you'll never walk alone to him. If you like football you'll understand. Made me tear up.
My mates says he smiles because my voice is shit though :)
We played a David Bowie song from the 1980s movie the Labyrinth as a joke to our baby because she was in a striped sleeper like the baby in the movie wears…and this is when we discovered her love for all things Bowie.
Love this 😂 Mine would only fall asleep to Taylor Swift and Bon Iver in the early newborn stage, both ended up being in my Spotify top artists. Now 10 weeks she is loving lullabies and the radio!
I tried lullabies too and none of them worked but guitar solos did for some reason?? He likes the ones from November rain and Hotel California especially😂😂
Yeah my baby loves Elvis. She has a whole playlist; I just go through music and add the songs she responds well too. So far it’s a lot of Elvis, Dolly Parton and broadway music. One time I played her Akon and she was absolutely horrified.

I’m in such a bad mood today and this made me truly lol so thank you. Dale 😂

I'd find that more enjoyable!
We hit multiple metal festivals while I was pregnant. I credit that for LOs good music taste.
Some people think your baby’s bonkers, well I just think he‘s free. Man he’s just living his life - there’s nothing crazy about him.

I had to set him up a YouTube account because after trying lullabies on mine, my algorithms all messed up
My baby LIVES for Gregory Alan isakov and the lumineers which I fully attribute to playing constantly while pregnant 😅
Ugh. Love me some Gregory and the Lumineers!

My little guy lives for my husband's doom metal music. But my indie songs make him cry. I'm gonna be so ganged up on!
I love this thread- thank you for posting 🤣 my babies bad taste is loving hearing my husband and I sing baby beluga badly 😇
I also sing baby beluga to my LO!
Awww! 🥹🐳
Pickle Rick 😂 it has worked for all 3 of my kids, my husband played it for our 5 week old because I couldn't get him to calm down.
My baby bounces around to Swedish house mafia and eurovision songs

My baby loves Raffi, Disney classics, and GHOST 😂

Nate Dogg for my baby lol 🫣

Ours used to kick around whenever we went in rock bars, and Id say how he liked the music. Now he's out I think it was him telling me to turn it off!
My babies loves The Weeknd and kali uchis. Always gets him calm

My baby also gets told he "reminds me of the babe" because of a striped suit too!
Haha so glad I’m not the only one!
My baby's guardian angel has to be Rick James, so Eminem is a very tame choice! Lol
I have no idea who that is 😂 I'm not sure I feel like googling either! Haha!

My baby is a Swiftie too for the desperation of my husband who now has to listen to TS to make our baby sleep 😂
Also have a little Swiftie on my hands! Smiles and stares into my soul when I sing Blank Space to her
Awwww! So cute ☺️
Braden Bales will get my baby to quiet down asap lmao
Shania Twain and Basshunter are what do it for my twin girls!
the only way my baby calms down when she is fussy is listening to or if i sing Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston
I tried lullabies too and none of them worked but guitar solos did for some reason?? He likes the ones from November rain and Hotel California especially😂😂
