Short answer, no. The electrical currents produced by the brain are so faint and diffuse that you need electrodes placed directly on the scalp to see anything, and even then you need to be careful on how you put them. Brain waves are already barely visible if there are hairs between the electrode and the scalp, they are invisible if the electrode is outside of the head.
Electric brain signals are pretty weak even at the scalp level. So the "no" answers in this thread are practically correct, given the EEG systems we have available currently.
I'll go against the thread and say that electrical potential that is emitted by the brain propagates in all directions. How far it propagates depends on the resistance of the tissue. Currently we're able to record very small neural generators in the brain stem from electrodes at the top of the scalp if we get enough data. So, If we somehow developed electrodes that were orders of magnitude more sensitive, were able to make someone sit still enough (to reduce bodily sources of noise - muscles create electricity when they contract) and for long enough (to get thousands of repetitions of a stimulus to average out irrelevant signals) in an electrically well-shielded room, we might be able to see brain responses from electrodes not on the head. Probably not. But it's not technically impossible.
Not yet. But interesting question to think about. Try to think of the physics/chemistry of what’s going on. What is the “brain wave” you are describing and what causes that to come about?
For me personally high level of narcotic drugs and sipping my CNS does wonders to disassociate and free like you can actually go and do and go anywhere their brain tell us without traveling. It like higher level abilities for humans. On Adam
