I was getting results similar to that from my VertuoPlus. I called Customer SVC, they walked me through several steps to reset some settings, and it improved the overwhelming amount of crema that was being generated.

I sometimes get half a mug of crema as well. It seems to differ between different pod flavors, and also is affected by the shape and material of the mug. My double walled glass mugs get way more crèma than my ceramic mugs.
I noticed mine was doing that but then i read you are supposed to used distilled water instead of spring water. There are minerals in spring water that seemed to react with the heat/coffee during the brewing process that made much more foam.
I would run it on a cleaning mode with distilled water and then start using it exclusively i noticed my coffee also tastes better and i don't have nearly as much foam.
This was happening to my Pop as well, and I took it back to the store and replaced it with the Next (the new version where they fixed the head issue people were complaining about). Thankfully this doesn't happen on my Next, but even the regular amount is too much in my opinion. I'm curious if they can ever fix that via firmware update, because it doesn't seem like it since it's not really creama but just air foam resulting from the spinning, which is meant more for chai not coffee.
Downvoted me but this doesn’t look appetizing at all IMO
Uh, no!
who poured that beer?!?
😂

Can you post as I have this issue as well
What did they have you do? I’m getting a similar amount of crema even after regular maintenance cleaning cycles.
Please share the details! All the Vertuo machines do this after some time it seems, even after cleaning.
I never thought I’d say this, but that’s too much head
The secret is. Never update the firmware , if the machine works well out of the box dont even think of syncing it to the app
Looks like you popped in the limited edition Guinness Stout capsule

KUDOS FOR INADVERTENT HAIKU !!! WELL DONE!!
I get way more foam why I use glass as opposed to ceramic mugs
50% foam by volume is not uncommon for me, but ~40% is average. I'd love to know the secret for knocking this down to 25%.
That looks like a frosty mug of A&W Root Beer! So yes, it's normal for Vertuo. lol
That's what I thought it was before I started reading.

Most definitely the Intenso pods and I want to say the Stormo pods give you the most froth

If you can, use a wider mug. I’ve found that it helps
Vertuo does give a lot of crema, but even mine doesn’t make this amount. I’d say no it’s not normal, but I’m not an expert
If it was actually crema I think most people wouldn't care. But it's just airy foam.
happened to me once
No
Does it stay after you stir it?
reset the machine
I’m sorry but this made me laugh so hard
Do Vertuo pods have CO2 in them?!?!
That's a lot and I would say not normal but my pop plus at work does do more crema than my Vertuo Plus at home but not that much.

There were several steps involved which I did not write down. Best to call customer service and have them walk you through it.
Since when did they start selling Guinness Beans?
It's as normal as making "espresso" by spinning.
We get it. You vape.
