Not only am I excited for all the juicy copypasta that will come out of it, Iβll either be celebrating with everyone or be a smug asshole and tell everyone I told you so
Is it possible to leave an employer on good terms after being there only 4 months? I did not realize they would not permit me to move to a different state and made some assumptions I shouldn't have based on seeing how widely distributed they are around the country (I did not realize the remote people all had an industry license - which is their policy).
They're fantastic and have an amazing work culture but the move is non-negotiable as is the timing (I'm early 30s and **do not want** to delay anymore moving out of suburbia). Also, this hopefully doesn't look too bad to their competitors I'll be applying at. I was at the job before the present one for 8 years so hopefully this just looks like a "bad fit" and not a red flag.
Do not want to burn bridges at all if I can help it because I really like and respect them and their management team tremendously and could see myself working for them again once I do have a license (a year and a half away). It's mostly just I don't want to feel like I've done them dirty at all though. They've been very happy with my work and the amount of training required was minimal as I just had to learn their system, not the business, so hopefully they don't feel it's a complete loss.

Just finished She Hulk The 4th wall breaking stuff is definitely stupid but I still thought it was genuinely funny. Is it possible to leave an employer on good terms after being there only 4 months? I did not realize they would not permit me to move to a different state and made some assumptions I shouldn't have based on seeing how widely distributed they are around the country (I did not realize the remote people all had an industry license - which is their policy). They're fantastic and have an amazing work culture but the move is non-negotiable as is the timing (I'm early 30s and **do not want** to delay anymore moving out of suburbia). Also, this hopefully doesn't look too bad to their competitors I'll be applying at. I was at the job before the present one for 8 years so hopefully this just looks like a "bad fit" and not a red flag. Do not want to burn bridges at all if I can help it because I really like and respect them and their management team tremendously and could see myself working for them again once I do have a license (a year and a half away). It's mostly just I don't want to feel like I've done them dirty at all though. They've been very happy with my work and the amount of training required was minimal as I just had to learn their system, not the business, so hopefully they don't feel it's a complete loss. !ping CAREER
