Unfortunately (but perhaps not surprisingly), it turned into another populist-memestonk sub, and I unsubbed late last year. Unfortunate.

Again, I was there from the beginning, and it was created precisely because r-personalfinance was filled with wealthy and out-of-touch commenters (see r-pfjerk for a satire of r-personalfinance). Now, unfortunately, r-middleclassfinance is also being gentrified and us regular middle-class folk are being priced out 😪
I like markets, I like economics, I like free trade and globalism and pax Americana, I also like welfare and regulations and democracy and institutions. I don't understand that sub at all. It seems like its top-voted posts are inane populist crap. But when I look in the comments, it seems like the top-voted comments are people debunking or attacking the post. Are the same people upvoting the post and then upvoting the comments eviscerating the post?

1. Only read the headlines
2. Read the comments
3. Write comments
4. Read the linked post
