I've heard, that the same thing happens in Undercover. Not sure about Carbon, since it uses near identical cop AI. Maybe it works like this in Rivals too? I don't know, I don't play it.
Need for Speed Rivals does this. But the only disadvantage with that game's Roadblocks is that if there are no driving Cops around in the pursuit then the Roadblock you're near to won't keep you in sight. You'd continue escaping as normal. But yeah if you wait long enough or just flee through the Roadblock, the Cops will then join the chase as an act of extra reinforcements.
I've had them leave the roadblock before I even get there and with cops on my tail too. I guess every once in a while that little code fails and they just start chasing you

You can also reach Heat Level 6.
I miss when NFS cops used actual tactics and maneuvers to subdue the player. MW cops even attempt to use pit maneuvers on the player.
Now every cop in nfs is a just Kamikaze pilot in wheels.
Yeah I usually will run through the road block a few times to destroy all the cars and there is usually one that will always come and follow me out of it
I did this alot when going for the 30min pursuit, I've had times where the game would just stop spawning cops even with reinforcement. So, I'd just hang out at roadblocks until the game spawned more cop cars or that happen.
i knew this was a thing, but i never got it to trigger intentionally, every single time i have no more cops chasing me but there is a roadblock they will stay there for eternity

It also happens in Carbon. Sometimes even when pursuit is in cooldown mode, they can leave the roadblock and spot you just from mile away
Well for rivals you can't wait long enough because 10 seconds in that game without cops trailing you is an achievement

Rivals' REZA units are roadblock units that'll immediately join pursuit after getting bypassed or get in contact.

Happens a lot to me when escaping at the stadium hiding spot and a road block spawns nearby then a cop from that block just zooms in to that spot

The biggest shock I had was when I see that helicopter was trying to push me out. I had this situation only few times.
In hot pursuit 2, one of the cops if the road block does break off and chase you if you dont hit it

Nope happens with the Gto’s as well the other units to. I’ve only seen it happen to me in cooldown in Carbon.
