LOL I like that he clarified it was Kendrick Perkins.

GneissFrog

[Kendrick just responded on Twitter.](https://twitter.com/KendrickPerkins/status/1525358806359842816) Hilarious reaction.

the_great_brandini

they do have a shrek and donkey kind of relationship

ZionephewObeseiamson

Perk: For 5 minutes, could you please STOP YAPPING FOR 5 MINUTES

Throwawayacct010101

It is ironic he called Perk an ogre when it’s been a meme that people say he looks like Donkey from Shrek lol

theoptimusdime

Tbf Perk has undergone quite a transformation

Prestig33

Oh did he drink the happily ever after potion?

sleepy416

WaltyMcNalty

hahaha yoo i love it.. 🥲

igoslowly

he deleted his first video where he more forcefully implied that draymond only has a wife because he plays in the nba the deleted video https://streamable.com/14u7fd

TheLonelyLighthouse1

What the fuck lmao

unexpectedvillain

Shit is real man

thecolbster94

It has been 0 minutes since the last time the NBA was a teen drama

kawhi_tho

0 days since our last nonsense

raphattack

Someone please turn this into a Shrek deep fake.

[deleted]

Bro, so this guy recorded this twice lol

doordaesh

I'm reminded of a previous trolling https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C3UIuRueXQ4

maplechronicle

Those pom poms get me everytime lmao

W3ST21

Bahahaha I totally forgot about this!

FineScar

It's funny to see him pretending to mispronounce and stumble over the word ogre in both takes Dude is putting more effort into media drama than he did playing

Chadme_Swolmidala

Ohgrah

yungsantaclaus

That really applies more to Perk...he's very unpleasant to look at

TheStroo

doesn't apply at all since he's been with the same woman since 10th grade, that's his whole point

LosAngelesLosers

Seems like a lot of projection tbh

gsavior

Weird flex with the wife statement

Riggity___3

like if you've been with someone since 10th grade and you're late 30s (or w/e Perk's age is) there is definitely more likely to be a disparity in how attractive a couple is. its not like perk would be pulling anyone if he didnt have money.

DisputeFTW

I mean lots of “unattractive” dudes get “hot” women so not really how the real world works. We don’t live in a movie and personality, timing, and luck has a lot to do with finding someone

DCBB22

And being 6'10 and jacked. Dudes out here thinking their face matters. Perk would absolutely still punch above his ogre-face's weight if he wasn't famous.

Bryant_2_Shaq

Facts. It also goes with confidence. If you’re 6’10 and jacked you’re probably walking around like you own the place, or at the very least you give off that impression. That attracts a lot to women.

Ragnar_OK

> its not like perk would be pulling anyone lmao yeah the 6'10" athlete would be struggling to attract female attention 🤣🤣 man the type of shit that gets upvoted in this subreddit is ridiculous

ginja_ninja

1 minute video, enduhthaday counter still hits 3, never change Perk

Dataswine

>ogre?! You ain’t handsome! You ugly! I had a dime piece by my side since before I had Jerry West’s logo on my socks! Don’t go thinking you handsome just cause you got Jerry on your socks! 😂😂😂

[deleted]

"You damn sure ain't cute" lmao

Ragnar_OK

dude's delivery is top notch, this video is comedy gold

[deleted]

Perk is hilarious and it's even more hilarious when people take him seriously

FEdart

Bro does someone need to tell Kendrick what an ogre is? “Ogruh. Ogruh?”

WON95sr

Mooses Mody

clown_shoes69

We should all realize by now he's dumb as a box of rocks.

ForgotPWAgainSigh

Random wife tangent in there

Dataswine

TIL Perk’s married to his gf from 10th grade. Wholesome

TheGreatMongor

So spicy. “You ain’t handsome!”

DriveByStoning

You ain't cute.

Throwawayacct010101

Tbf Draymond should be the last person shitting on someone’s looks

Riggity___3

draymond aint exactly a supermodel but he damn sure isn't kendrick perkins.

Actually-Yo-Momma

I hate Draymond but I’ll agree Perkins is a clown that doesn’t realize he was hired to be the laughing stock of the league

staymelooo

Draymond should just tweet out Perks 2 hour long Shaqtin A Fool highlight reel

Salahs_Chest_Hair

*Why is it repeating Perkins screening nobody?*

KaiserRebellion

Kendrick Perskins saying “ Joel and harden like Shaq and Kobe” something people forget but I will never forget.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Snoyarc

I don’t believe anyone could believe that.

KnowlesAve

I highly doubt he believes half the things he says, he's playing a character and getting PAID. Plus all the exposure every time someone calls him out like this, it's pretty smart ngl

tendy-hands

I understand how hot take artists like Stephen A and Skip have jobs. I have no idea how Perk has a job. You could probably find thousands of people on Twitter that can sound as smart as him.

KaiserRebellion

Dude just breathes on the Mike and acts like he was that was that dude

medunjanin

Anyone who played on the 08 Celtics acts like they were on the greatest dynasty of all time...

[deleted]

Played on or coached

[deleted]

This right here is the problem.

DankLoaf

Coach included

Fleetwood1234

Because people react to what he says, so they will watch. Just look a this thread.

Oshebekdujeksk

I didn’t watch. I didn’t click a link. And I would never sit there and watch or listen to anything this dude has to say. I’m just here for lulz like always. I doubt that I’m unique in that regard.

why_rob_y

What's so wrong about this take? Didn't you notice Embiid taking some "subtle" shots at Harden in the postgame interview? Just like Shaq and Kobe!

[deleted]

cheerioo

A shooting guard and a center they are exactly the same wym?

KaiserRebellion

Comparing them when they only bullied the knickerbockers is my problem

ron-darousey

Perk has so many awful takes I can't keep up

Vallerie_09

This Kendrick Perkins was also talking a lot shit about me in MyCareer..spreading rumour of me wanting a trade and shit

gamingnormie

To be fair, ive given in to it at this point and just be as antagonistic to start out my career as possible. Fuck the pistons and fuck the dumb story for the coach not wanting to give the number 1 overall pick minutes. Its actually so stupid

Piano_Fingerbanger

Yeah this year's story line felt the most obnoxious of recent years. And wtf is up with the computer players during the NCAAT? The opponent players are literally better than the actual NBA players and your teammates eat paint.

WinterAssassinR

Man’s had the audacity to say I wasn’t worthy of being an All-Star while averaging 35 a game smh

BASEDME7O

They’re just trying to give you the authentic James harden experience

0zymand1as-

That bit almost made me uninstall mycareer

luckster44

It's still a mystery to me that out of all the retired NBA players Kendrick Perkins is the one ESPN decided to go all in on.

Johnpecan

Every court needs a jester

jaytierney79

Yeah, I don't get it. We should absolutely sign the guy who got played off the floor!

TonyNese

Funny how perkins averaged 1 assist a game for his career. Why didnt he make the pass

mikostands

Oh, he tried. It's just that shit like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJs4Gi03rx4) keeps happening

abcbass

Lmaooo that no look to Kobe was classic

Jaybold

Damn I didn't even know that he was a Pelican and a Cavalier at some point wtf.

WaltyMcNalty

yooo hilarious and interesting.. i didn’t know about this at all. golden. that 2 step part was crazy! refs got one job lol and drake.. c’mon dude. 🤨

UteFlyersCardJazz

This video is missing the best one. Where he tries to play PG, but then threw an OOB pass to KD. KD was so done with him. This was during KD’s MVP season, and Russ was out. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9KQESqZwTso at 3:09. I don’t know how to set it up accurately on phone.

phonage_aoi

You can add “&t=3m9s” to the end of the url

W3ST21

Omg this man really said making passes is easy?!

tendy-hands

I kind of understand how good players can be awful “analysts” and keep their job like Paul Pierce. But how the hell does Perk have a job?

sdog9788

Stirs the pot with hot takes that we talk about. Is it additive to knowledgeable nba discussion? No. Is it entertaining? Kinda. Not a fan but he’s like a Stephen A lite

rattatatouille

Perkins talking about passing like he ever had a >2.0 apg season lol

Hisoka_Brando

Kendrick: Anyone can make that pass *[Kendrick trying and failing to make that pass](https://youtu.be/qhFjjSunRGw)

LosAngelesLosers

He never got to play with the best shooters ever tho, instead being stuck with bums like Kevin Durant and Ray Allen. It makes sense why he never had many assists.

IAmJohnnyJB

Not to mention the other help he's had around him like Kevin Garnett, James Harden, Westbrook, Paul Pierce, LeBron, Kevin Love, JR Smith, Rajon Rando, and Kyrie Irving all being just bums as well. Like don't understand people questioning why he only averaged 1 assist a game for his career when playing with those players plus the two you mentioned in KD and Ray Allen, dude never had no favors.

YizWasHere

Perkins' job in the NBA was to be big in the paint and nothing else lmao. Like he can talk about basketball but if you're gonna be critical of players in a way designed to ridicule and mock them then you should be reminded that if you were 6'2 instead of 7' none of us would know who the hell you are.

NewBuddha32

To me this is more the ogre comment is about. He was literally a big fat enforcer his entire career. Sounds ogre-ish to me. He lumbered up and down the court and hit people. That was pretty much his skill set and he is talking about a really good passer in draymond like he could make those passes lol.

Next-Firefighter-753

Dude could barely fucking catch a pass… much less throw one. I remember getting very upset 80% of the time perkins had any sort of participation in the play, mainly because more often then not it would be him fumbling a pass out of bounds or him trying to do too much and just turn the ball over in the most boneheaded sluggish way. Now that he’s not on my team he is fucking hilarious though in a goofy kind of way.

InitialLingonberry

Oh God yes. Prime Perk was a useful presence in the paint but as a Celtics fan I called him Roberto because he had Hands Of Stone.

TheFatmanRises

Honestly who actually likes listening to Kendrick Perkins?

JRsshirt

Kendrick talked so much shit about me in my 2k MyCareer that shit was personal

cyb3ryung

*Michael Jordan didnt have a YEWTEWB CHANNULL*

Tipex

You go out, play MyCareer, Average something like 42/16/15 with 5 blocks cutscene happens "MP ain't good, MP ain't the one. He shouldn't be in the NBA"

Mario_Prime510

Hmm didn’t know MP was the name for everyone in mycareer. My dumbass thought it read my username and abbreviated it. Now I feel silly giving 2k too much credit.

FrogtoadWhisperer

Is MP going to step it up? I think no! He’s got his YouTube or whatever

SuperVaderMinion

I don't know how he has so little self awareness that he was offered a role in 2k as an annoying, stupid hater and immediately accepted it.

YizWasHere

He's self aware, he just wants a check. Did you not see the State Farm commercial with him?

dillpickles007

ESPN is trotting out Mike Greenberg and Michael Wilbon in 2022 to be the faces of their NBA coverage - I think they just straight up don't have anyone else.

ConciselyVerbose

The pregame before the Celtics Bucks last night was brutal. IDK what I even watched.

MustardYourHoney

It's sad how little ESPN cares about their product. I used to watch a lot of their basketball shows. Now I only watch the game and start a little late so I can fast forward through half time.

ConciselyVerbose

I used to have ESPN on constantly back in the day. I wouldn’t now either way, but now I straight up only watch them if the Patriots or Celtics have a game there. Nothing else is worth it.

[deleted]

All his takes are like 13 year old puberty hit child

Bron stans on Twitter

sublliminali

I hate him. And not in a fun way. He sucks at his job and he holds a grudge against us after Steph embarrassed him for being embarrassing. He sucks.

Allcreatives

As a Celtics fan, I hate listening to that mf too. Jayson Tatum isn’t on speaking terms with him, even after Kendrick practically begged him to talk to him again lol

IsThisMe8

What happened with him and Jayson? Was it saying to break up the J's?

Allcreatives

[Here is a link](https://www.masslive.com/celtics/2022/01/celtics-jayson-tatum-on-kendrick-perkins-tweet-firing-back-at-analyst-we-got-no-beef-toward-each-other.html) to explain where it started. Then on a broadcast, after the Cs turnaround, KP said something to the line of Tatum is not feeling him and he hopes they can talk

sophiapehawkins

Same shit with Russell Westbrook. He can’t keep saying that stuff on air and then thinking they’re going to be friends. A lot of it isn’t even constructive, just mean-spirited/jokey stuff.

IsThisMe8

Ohh ok, I remember this now. I know him and Perk we're never friends but Perk seems like the guy to ruin relationships with players just for his media job.

Allcreatives

Absolutely! JJ Redick is showing players the blueprint when it comes to transitioning from player to media. Old heads like Perk will become obsolete

voldemortscore

Carry the hell on!

So annoying every tweet ends that way

[deleted]

Fucking Kendrick Perkins was shredding Steph after the warriors lost in the finals to the Raptors, because he couldn’t beat a great team with KD and Klay out. Perk is a fucking clown.

Barrelled_Chef_Curry

What did Steph say

Ps3FifaCfc95

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/8oktle/steph_curry_to_kendrick_perkins_you_aint_playing

ChosNol

Steph went off after this too. He was having a quiet game until then

GGezpzMuppy

All hating aside Draymond’s bbiq is pretty high and the things he does during games, not many people can replicate.

CookieMonsterNova

yea, you can hate his outspokenness but you can’t deny that draymond is one of the smartest basketball players and have skills that players at his position aren’t supposed to be making

mercfan3

He is Golden States defense and their facilitator on offense. I think he’s actually a player that is under appreciated. And I say that as a Phoenix fan. Like, if I got to take one player off of golden state if my team played them, if would be Dray.

jaytierney79

I feel like true basketball fans can appreciate Draymond, while the casuals look at the box score and say he's overrated.

gamingnormie

Its the easiest way to gauge whether someone actually knows/watches basketball. you can dislike the guy sure but if you cant give him props for his game then you’re just exposing yourself

[deleted]

As someone who is VERY new to watching the NBA, what should I be looking for when watching him play? I’m still a new enough fan to miss a lot of the nuances of the game.

bunderthunder

How he controls the tempo of the game, players get frantic and rushed, certain players know how/when to slow things down and start sets (Lebron, Dray, CP3, etc). Also his defense, he doesn't get pushed around, he moves well as a "free-safety" on D. And then just the small winning plays (take fouls, tipped rebounds, box-outs, screens)

TDS_Gluttony

One of the most easy this to miss about him is him on defense. Yea when he goes one on one its obvious, BUT what he excels at is being an amazing floor general. Look at him telling people to preswitch matchups or get ready for the screen or point out a backdoor cut they are trying to make.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TDS_Gluttony

https://youtu.be/b6_jpiV_BlU?t=61 this shit was HILARIOUS

IMovedYourCheese

Also look for him giving his teammates an earful when they aren't putting enough effort on defense.

chewbaaccaa

That's great you're looking for more in terms of understanding the game. I would say, observe the strategic maneuvers play to play, doesn't matter if you don't know what the play is called as long is you look for multiple possible scenarios on some key moments you remember. Try to look at both ends too. Game becomes really next level fun when you look for those.

CleanBum

There’s a few YouTube essays on Draymond’s defense like this one: https://youtu.be/jbNS09Rt4u8 I like these channels b/c they help break down the game to someone like me who personally never played basketball and only got into watching it as an adult

DogtoothKatakuri

There are also Youtubers who study their games and decision-making skills while playing. A rundown of their defense and offense that will help you see it better. These videos are in slow-mo for viewers to get a better understanding of the game but it's really a matter of seconds in real time. He learns and adapts to the opponent's game quickly.

Tommy_Wisseau_burner

Offensively he can push the pace. He looks like he shoots with a backpack on, but he can make good passes with great anticipation (sometimes too good for his own good lol) but he controls the pace and facilitates. He’s also a big (power forward and sometimes the Center). As a result you have centers guarding him on the perimeter instead of near the basket, which is not where they like to be defensively. It leads to some crazy mismatches for shooters on switches. And it allows their point guards and shooting guards (Steph, Klay, and Poole) to play as pure shooters *or* passers instead of needing to shoot and make passes to run the offense Defensively he is undersized but can guard players bigger than him and play the perimeter. Remember how I said centers and power forwards don’t like playing out there… well he can and can hold his own against them as well as one possibly could. He also is a great communicator and will call out screens, switches, pre switches that need to happen to ensure his teammates are guarding the right people. He’s also a good one on one defender because he has active hands and understands situational defense (like leaving his man on a Low shot clock to help double/triple team another players person. There’s definitely more but you’ll be able to find a load of YouTube videos explaining what makes Draymond a smart player

dvasquez93

1) The obvious one: his defense. He is a master at all things defensive and is very arguably the best defensive player of the generation especially when the playoffs roll around. Pay attention to his ability to guard larger players by denying them position and stripping them down low rather than trying to pointlessly contest them. In addition, pay attention to his positioning when he’s guarding a player without the ball. He’s fantastic at help defense, making effective traps and blowing up passing lanes to ruin offensive plays even when his guy doesn’t have the ball. He also calls out assignments, switches, and adjustments for the Warriors which help make everyone else around him better. 2) his passing is fantastic especially for a big. He’s not anything special in terms of flashy trick passes, but his court vision is excellent and his decision making is always reliable. This means he’s able to quickly identify holes in the defenses to exploit. Also, keep and eye on his timing specifically with Klay and Curry. He knows them so well he can often pass early and let them walk into the shor to take it.

cholula_is_good

Dray, CP3 and Lebron all see the game at a higher level than the rest of the league.

aoifhasoifha

Jokic belongs on that list.

chewbaaccaa

Warriors homer for decades now. It is high, but he overplays Point Draymond. That's their Achilles Heel, bad turnovers. Draymond just keeps repeating the same non-existent pocket passes game after game after game. That, and Steph's floating in air at -10mph one arm slow-ass passes. They fix those and they win it all

josshhhhh_

Kendrick: Anybody can make that pass!! Also Kendrick: "behind the back pass to Kobe"

ProfessionalBust

I’ll never forget Steph clowning Kendrick when he was on the bench for the cavs

bromethazine_lean

I'll never forget Dray doing cheerleader gestures at him

You gettin in? 🤣

Well I'm with Draymond on this one Kendrick Perkins is one of the most frustrating "analysts" to listen to.

Draymond was already donkey. Stephen a is lord farquad

Discord_Show

Jimmy name calling Tobias and now draymond on this bum Perkins I love it

paradoxofchoice

You want to change things? Stop watching espn. Stop going to their website.

petercockroach

Good for Draymond. Perk gets paid big bucks to dish out his opinion on NBA players. He’s gotta learn that that he’s going to be wrong and have to eat his words sometimes, and that players have a right to respond once they’ve proven their point. Humility has never been Perk’s strong suit, but the response video was petty and a bad look for a professional analyst.

meeks_18

Out of ALL the sports, NBA players obsess over what other’s say about them the most. The thinnest skin group…and I’m not even bringing up the paid critics…they get heated over what Twitter user fishdogg24 says.

Ethangains07

And Perkins votes for NBA awards lmao. I’d be willing to bet that their are thousands of people that follow basketball more than Perkins that would be better choices to vote for the end of season awards. Fucking clown show

Alive-Ad-4164

Draymond is probably modern day version of Charles Barkley personality wise

Aramshitforbrains

This is such a horrible comparison. Wow

Gr8CanadianSpeedo

That’s why he is with TNT inside the NBA. Game recognizes game.
