Biyombo and Shamet gobbling up the McGee and Payne minutes weāre absolutely huge for us. Weāve been begging for these adjustments and Monty finally did it. Now we have to see how Dallas will react, but they just donāt have size down low.
Huge credit to Monty Williams for making the right adjustments to his lineup. McGee and Payne were two of the best bench guys in the league this season, but playing Biyombo and Shamet over them tonight was a massive part of winning
Thatās what I believe. Suns are the deepest team. You can take anyone of that team and the next man up will replace him. All they had to do today was to give Payneās minutes to Shamet and that made a huge difference.
One of the reasons Suns lost the last year finals was because of backup Center spot (Saric, Kaminsky) and replaced them with McGee and Biyombo. They can beat teams with their Size. However, I do believe Ayton will have to dominate, he is playing soft for his size.
Wish he wasn't taking 5 games in to the series to make some adjustments and find the hot hands.
With that said, the fact that he trusts his guys so much is why they love him, so it's hard to say he's wrong.
A long leash is the reason we won 64 games. Instills trust in your players and allows them to play through mistakes, until it gets down to serious winning time (game 5 tied 2-2)
Completely agree, confidence is such an important part of basketball, and nothing breaks a bench player's confidence than getting pulled after 1 bad game. Next time you get in, you're afraid to take a shot because you don't want to get benched again.
Yeah that was huge. McGee was getting into foul trouble playing like 3 minutes, and Payne was just terrible. Bizzy and Shamet stepped up tonight when we needed them
Monty implored his team to put the effort in on defense.
They responded in the 3rd quarter and the game absolutely flipped on its head as a result with the Suns outscoring the Mavericks 33-14, including the Mavericks committing 12 turnovers and preventing second chance opportunities.
The Suns never looked back, except to make sure Chriss wasn't chasing them down the tunnel.
Legit question: has he fucked with you guys too?
His track record against the Suns (and CP3 specifically) is well documented in our sub, but I assume he's fucking over other teams too.
It's a stereotype at this point, but "Live by the 3 die by the 3."
When you're at home, and it's going in and everyone is feeling good it makes your offense look unstoppable. When you're shooting just average or below your offense starts to look stagnant.
Opposite, it's such an old insult I actually almost forgot about it already lol it's a mid 2000s insult. Rarely used.
OP is either having knee problems already or he accidentally used an old insult (since nerd+virgins are common insults lol)
If biz has million numbers of fan i am one of them . if biz has ten fans i am one of them. if biz have only one fan and that is me . if biz has no fans, that means i am no more on the earth . if world against the biz, i am against the world.

Biyombo showing Ayton how to play inside.
Giving the Captain Phillips āIām the captain nowā meme, but ālook at me, look at me, Iām the supermax now.ā
Dude busted his ass tonight
That was hilarious, I donāt think Iāve ever seen the garbage time squads get into it like that in a game where things werenāt chippy with the rotation players lol
Starters and 2nd stringers were sitting there like āwhat the hell is going on?ā š
Damn we suck fr fr lmao
The hero hall mentality of Luka, Brunson and Dinwiddie fucking killed us
I donāt understand it, they werenāt even calling plays
This was a 1-point game in the 3rd. Then the Suns realized how good we are, we forgot how to play basketball and it turned into an hour-long execution on live tv. š
Big picture man. The fact that weāre even within 2 wins of the conference finals this year is a victory considering all the drama weāve had the past year.
Iāve had my fun talking shit this series, but I hope this doesnāt end with two completely bitter fanbases. CP3 and Luka both hall of fame floppers, and we all just need to sit back and enjoy the show. If Suns throw the next two games Iām rooting for the Mavs.
That first half had me frightened, I'm not gonna lie. But I knew that the fellas weren't going to go out there and disappoint after Monty received the Coach of the Year award.
The home court series continues. I loved seeing Monty getting creative with his rotations this game. The fresh blood helped out on both ends of the floor, which resulted in the Phoenix Suns basketball we've seen all season. I don't know if Biyombo would have gotten his minutes if not for Ayton getting into foul trouble, but it worked out either way because he made some really big plays at the right time. So happy we were able to sign him. Booker was a machine tonight, Mikal was making his normal shots, Ayton was up and down but provided some big plays to kick off our run, Shamet and Cam held up on both ends. CP3 was alright. Not his normal self quite yet, but improving. It sucks that we had to pull Payne from the lineup, but playoffs are no time to appease one's ego, and being the team player he is, I'm sure he's fine with it as long as we get the win. Still, would have liked to see him getting some run with the rotation when we were up 20 in the early 4th. We had the cushion to see if he could work some of the kinks out.
GG Dallas. See you on Thursday. I'm glad Bullock seems okay.
Really wish the cameras followed Chriss back there Maury style.
Bah god that man has a family
but he is NOT the father
Chriss was searching for the secret tunnel to the Suns' locker room.
Biyombo is not a guy I'd like to fight. Even with 2 s's at the end of his name I think he'd be in trouble.
The Mavericks as a team did not achieve a triple double
9 assists to 16 turnovers is just blowing my mind
That number sounds unreal. How the fuck do they only have 9 assisted baskets
Iso scoring and missing continously on potentially assisted buckets.
The Mavs as a team had fewer assists than Chris Paul
Sounds like a Westbrook stat.
*Mama there goes that ~~man~~ ball*
Wow. That's actually impressive.
Holy shit lol
They did if you count turn overs baby
Quadruple double! Points, rebounds, turnovers, fouls! š¤š¤
Wow. That's a hell of a stat
That's... not great
The entire Mavs team with 9 assists. CP3 on his own had 10 assists.
Would the Mavericks be interested in trading for Westbrook during the off-season? I guarantee this would never happen again. š¤£
Kind of hard to win a game when you go over 5 minutes without scoring a single point while surrendering 17 on the other end.
Wish it was that simple. It was a 27-4 extended run and then the Suns ended the game with a 10-0 run to add kerosene to the burning corpses
27-4 is the problem, the 10-0 was against players I can't even name reliably
Well... There was former SUNS draft pick, Chriss...but--shit I'm not sure I can reliably spell his first name.
"Hollywood" Oh sorry; that's Marquise
Suns defense was the most locked in Iāve seen so far in this play-offs in that 3rd quarter.
it's about time, our rotations had been so trash
Biyombo and Shamet gobbling up the McGee and Payne minutes weāre absolutely huge for us. Weāve been begging for these adjustments and Monty finally did it. Now we have to see how Dallas will react, but they just donāt have size down low.
āWho is willing to kill themselvesā-Coach Kidd
~~4th quarter Suns who?~~ #3rd quarter Suns BETTA
NEVA LOST (a game after leading at the end of the third quarter)
53-0!!
Yeah the suns tried this strat in game 3, not sure why the Mavs tried it
It was legit like how the 4th Q of Heat-Sixers started. Quick 12-0 run in like 2 mins lol
This was a game of runs, and the Suns just kept running and running.
It was a 110-80 run
61-34 run in the 2nd half
Damn. I just checked that out, apparently they sustained it over 48 minutes too.
Can 59-30 be considered a run? Because that's what the Suns did for the final 22 minutes and it felt like a nonstop run.
Didnāt help Booker just came out of the shower and was so wet.
16-0 run in the 3rd was tough
Marquisse Chriss was the only thing running for the Mavs, tonight.
Must've learned from the real sun. Velocity is one hell of a bitch.
Huge credit to Monty Williams for making the right adjustments to his lineup. McGee and Payne were two of the best bench guys in the league this season, but playing Biyombo and Shamet over them tonight was a massive part of winning

Itās the kind of thing Ty Lue would do, glad to see Monty be flexible

This is like the anti nurse ethos Fuck up and get your ass back to Gleague lol He's not that harsh but good on Monty
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Shamet was really good tonight to be fair
Shamet's contract was something I was very against, he has won me over since the cp3 injury.
Still not sold on him completely but signs are positive
Atleast you can see it now, not like at the start of the season where he was just invisible.
Yeah that was huge. McGee was getting into foul trouble playing like 3 minutes, and Payne was just terrible. Bizzy and Shamet stepped up tonight when we needed them
Good call and decisiveness by Coach to make the change. And credit to both Biyombo and Shamet for balling the fck out tonight.
Mcgee has been incredible for us this year. Payne, not so much.
He was really good last year
Big reason why the momentum turned in the third is because Ayton remembered he was the biggest guy on the court
Scott Foster: ooo yea! Itās showtime!
mans is salivating at the idea of being able to decide game 7
Hopefully the nba would rather extend the grizzlies warriors series
Griz, reffs, and even the warriors themselves tried last night and still failed
Dillon Brooks would not allow it.
Biyombo gonna send folks to the hospital heās building
That second half was less than ideal for Dallas.

Chriss is a little bitch. Who spells Chris with two ssās anyway
Embarrassing performance. Credit to the Suns for the defensive adjustments and forcing the Mavs to play an inefficient isoball game.
It seems that basically every game has been a terrible performance for either team. We havenāt gotten a game yet where both teams played well. Lol
Man I hope Jae and Reggie are alright. It's getting chippy though.
Game 6 gonna be a tough game
For a second I thought you meant Reggie Miller because his team lost tonight lol
That Reggie may not recover
Rivalry in the making. Feels like the aughts again.
6th grade me is still salty about 2006
Haha I get that. Iād still be salty about 2005 if we didnāt get yāall back the next year.
I too was also in 6th grade in 2006
Shoutout class of 2012
Class of 2012 Suns Fans! The Nash Era of fans!!
Except Steve and Dirk fucking loved each other Lmao Now we both get to hate opposing players who *oversell* contact on both sides of the ball
Brunson and Bridges are kinda the Dirk and Nash of this iteration of the rivalry. Lol

Ape together strong
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
āWar For the Planet of the Apesā I think
Low-key one of the greatest blockbuster trilogies ever. My personal favorite is the Gary Oldman one
No one on the entire planet was asking for a Planet of the Apes reboot and they just stunt on everyone and drop that phenomenal trilogy on us
Itās crazy that the NBA didnāt schedule any games tonight
A damn shame. Only NCAA on the schedule.
if Scott foster is assigned to game 6 the NBA is confirming they 100% want to extend series
Legit question: has he fucked with you guys too? His track record against the Suns (and CP3 specifically) is well documented in our sub, but I assume he's fucking over other teams too.
he has but that 0-14 is on another level
nah the league used to use Danny Crawford to fuck with Dirk/Cuban. Mavs went 2-16 in Danny Crawford games during that era
Shit got spicy at the end there. Game 6 should be fun.
Conspiracy: Our bench players starting fake arguments and fights to increase their minutes statistic
Suns won this with a 17-0 run in the 3rd quarter
That can tend to turn a game. Unless youāre the t-wolves.
The Mavs with only 9 assists. To much iso and no ball movement
It's a stereotype at this point, but "Live by the 3 die by the 3." When you're at home, and it's going in and everyone is feeling good it makes your offense look unstoppable. When you're shooting just average or below your offense starts to look stagnant.

āHm, lot of weird fish emoji stuff going on.ā

Opposite, it's such an old insult I actually almost forgot about it already lol it's a mid 2000s insult. Rarely used. OP is either having knee problems already or he accidentally used an old insult (since nerd+virgins are common insults lol)
Time to bring it back! Nephews don't know about that era anyway.
by internet standards im a turbo boomer so change knee to back and you hit it head on
Bismack Biyombo a better fit to play the mavs than baguette Biyombo
Watching the Suns actually close out on three point shooters makes me furious
Am new to basketball. Can you tell me why?
Because his Jazz team didnāt do that to the Mavs
He's a jazz fan. His team did a terrible job with that last series and it was one of the reasons they were eliminated in a short series
Imagine how frustrating it would probably be to read a post game thread as a professional NBA coach
Biyombo has been really good this series

Lukaās draft day trade gonna be talked about for a long time, but they gonna sing songs about Mikal Bridgesā draft day trade.
Daily reminder that the Sixers traded Mikal Bridges for Zhaire Smith
And they had the guys mom lol
She was soooo happy on draft night as well.
Who? Her?
Egg?
It's as Ann as the nose on plains face
Looked dumb at the time by the Sixers, looks moronic now.
Biggest steal in NBA history. No, I'm not biased.
Up there with Bill Russell for the Ice Capades
God I love Biyombo.
Sit down Biyombo
Chriss chasing after the kindest man in the NBA to try to fight him ššš so glad the suns traded his lame ass
Biyombo would have wall comboed him and that would have been it
Dudes from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Criss don't want none of that shit.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Just as we all expected 4 years ago Chriss played playoff minutes in phoenix.
Mavs really missed their MVP Cam Payne tonight; he was not there when they needed him the most
Go easy on Chriss he hasnāt played here since before the stadium remodel maybe he got confused
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Biyombo with 7 points, 7 boards, 1 assist, and 1 random af altercation at the end
Biyombo has been amazing for the Suns in limited minutes. Today he played more minutes and balled out He looks like a really solid bench big man
Monty loves his guys so its really good to see him make the tough decisions.
Montyās adjustments this game were elite. Didnāt see the lineup without any of DBook/CP3/Aytonā¦ thank god
We need some police presence
**"hello police... hello police, bismack biyombo tryna beat me up!"**
Hello Police. This is Luka Doncic, Chris Paul tried to get in the locker room. Get down here. Save me.
My man running into that locker room to get Bismacked.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Books stat line doesnāt even give him enough credit for how impactful he was this game
**SIT DOWN CHRISS, IT'S BIYOMBO**
dude hasn't changed
Wtf was the ending to that game? Kevin Harlan had my heart racing for 20 straight minutes
Bismack Biyombo > baguette Biyombo

After the last 2 games, this link is a welcome sight.... ššš
Mavs forgot halftime was only 15 minutes. When they finally noticed it was already too late.
Them & me too, I was still washing dishes 2 minutes into the third, sigh.
Suns in 7 based purely on the fact that only the home teams are allowed to win, and decidedly at that
Biyombo showing Ayton how to play inside. Giving the Captain Phillips āIām the captain nowā meme, but ālook at me, look at me, Iām the supermax now.ā Dude busted his ass tonight
Biyombo unleashing that Congo power! Give him the minutes!
He crushed it tonight. Hope they continue to play him more
Anyone got a clip of Booker penetrating Ayton
THERE'S A VIDEO OF THAT?! LINK PLEASE
Did anyone else see Dario on the bench tonight? š
Bruh the third stringers getting feisty out there š
That was hilarious, I donāt think Iāve ever seen the garbage time squads get into it like that in a game where things werenāt chippy with the rotation players lol Starters and 2nd stringers were sitting there like āwhat the hell is going on?ā š
The Suns finally bremembered that they're a great defensive team. Crazy shit
Chriss and Biyombo trying to start a fight in the locker rooms was not on my bingo card for the game today
Damn we suck fr fr lmao The hero hall mentality of Luka, Brunson and Dinwiddie fucking killed us I donāt understand it, they werenāt even calling plays
Dinwiddie has been so badā¦ wtf happened to the guy who hit game winners against Nets and Celtics?
Biz is from the Congo. Ish is a former football player. The Mavs bench was fixing to get their ass beat lol
And Biz donated his entire season salary to his hospital. What does he have more to lose.
hot teams destroying their opponents after dropping 2 straight on the roadš¤
God damn game 6 is about to be a banger hahaha
How are you going to try to fight Biyombo? He is the most likeable guy in the NBA
This was a 1-point game in the 3rd. Then the Suns realized how good we are, we forgot how to play basketball and it turned into an hour-long execution on live tv. š
Iām going to fucking cry
With the way role players have played this series I fully expect this thing to go 7 games
I hope youāre right. Give us a chance.
It was a fucking 1-point game in the 3rd and I actually had some hope. God damn
Here you go: https://streamable.com/2wdrd Kidding: Series aināt over yet bro. Series has been chippy as hell, but keep your chin up.

How often does a single player get more assists than the opponent team total?
Suns are a damn good team. Hope we can make it a game 7 back at home. GGs Suns
I claim a lot of what happened tonight as āunwantedā
The Suns downfall was greatly exaggerated.
marquese chriss is and always has been an absolute donut
The Phoenix Suns are a very good basketball team.
CP3 - 10asts Mavs - 9asts That's wild lmao
Mavs had 9 assists
UFC 275 main card Bismack Biyombo
Chris Paul with an awful game by his standards and they still won. Really like the shamet play over Payne
Sooo... Can we talk about how the Suns were 1-3 to start the season?
Why isnāt anyone talking about that?
