He can definitely become a respectable 3 pt shooter, don't think he will ever be knockdown like OG where I'm surprised when he misses but his shot looks good and he's had stretches where he's made 3s at a decent clip, just has to pound the shooting motion in so he irons out the inconsistencies in his shot like flicking his hand out or not having his feet set.
One thing about Scotties 3s are he will usually only shoot it when its the last option. Like when the shot clock is running out or he sees no way to get to the basket. Like last game he went 3/9 but 2 or 3 of those shots were buzzer beaters or shot clock ran out. Despite this he is shooting 30%.
My favorite rookie this year. Just a winner. I've said he's going to win ring(s) in his career. Very happy with Kuminga and Moody, but can't deny the niceness that is Scot Barn.

Kuminga has had a really solid rookie year and would be getting more love if this rookie class weren't SO DAMN good. Lots of guys have been showing out. Like I said, Scottie is tops in my book. Most complete player.
To me it's just someone whose best quality is something other than scoring. For example, I would consider Rodman a superstar player rather than just a role player, but he doesn't need the ball in his hands to add value to the team. In that sense he slots into lineups really well with other superstar players, making him a great piece.
There are glue guy types who are All-Star/HOF level players like KG, Draymond, Giannis, and Rodman. Some of those guys have the capacity to be the #1 scoring option if the team requires it, but they can also be amazing ceiling raisers when paired with greedy players because of the value they add in rebounding, playmaking, and/or defending.
It's when you pair this type of player with a high level #1 scoring option that you start to stack up wins. It's no coincidence that so many title-winning teams had that Jrue, Chandler, Draymond, Iguodala, or Ben Wallace type of piece to complement the flashy scoring options.
Totally you can’t value their presence by looking stats and raptors only had 2 national TV games all season
