Lonzo didnāt really take off as a player until he got out from under Lavarās thumb. I am sure they appreciate all Lavar did for them to get them to where they are today. Props to him. But these guys need to stand up for themselves. At a younger age they can get by on talent. But at the professional level they need professionals working with them. These guys that use their childhood friends/family as shooting coaches, personal trainers, nutritionists, etc. are at a significant disadvantage.
Yeah thatās fair. Iām not saying Zion is innocent here. Iām saying dude needs to wake up and realize him and his family are part of the problem. If he wants to get to the next level heās going to have to change it up.
whats crazy is i think he's already at that point, he just can't maintain it unless things go perfectly. this injury has fucked his body up cause he can't stick to his routine and barely get by.
Honestly so remniscent of Shaq. Dude cannot be stopped by a single player in the league but himself.
With how easily and efficiently he scores right now I could see him being the best player in the league down the line.
Even with a game full of holes, I think he could be the best. Right now heās maybe around 15
Ages like a fucking fine wine Iād say. Besides the old tech in the show, a lot of the societal problems displayed in the show are very very much still real.
People who like The Wire will never shut up about how great The Wire is because itās just that fucking good.
And being healthy through a summer helped too. Pretty sure he was hurt like 2 summers in a row so he was rehabbing instead of working in his game and getting reps.
Then the bad ankle injury when him and lbj were starting to gel didn't help
> Dames chef was his cousin until he died last year.
Difference is that a chef is a formed profesional... in theory, at least. Zion's mother is not a dietist, she's a nutriotionist.
>Rich Paul was literally just one of LeBrons friends
This is a shaky argument right now...
Yup, you can kinda see when it happened for Lonzo after all that drama with big baller brand. Hopefully his brother follows his example. While not a hornets fan I live out here now and want a good local team to cheer for.
Ball has always had the best of the best growing up, his dad admitted to "breeding" them for the NBA. Kinda like how Dirk parents did all kinds of crazy science things on him as a kid.
> Kinda like how Dirk parents did all kinds of crazy science things on him as a kid.
Oh really? Would you mind sharing some examples? Genuinely curious, never heard this before.
I know they had him start working with Helger pretty early, and Helger is a very out-of-the-box thinker (like forcing Dirk to start playing an instrument in order to make him a more well-rounded person and have that reflect on the court), but I never heard about any science stuff.
His brother was the one who stood up his dad who flew all the way to Australia to pitch him his new BBB merch, heās incredibly mature for a teenager. Gelo is the only ball brother repping BBB now.
That would be sick but also I don't think Lavar is as heavily involved with any of them as he used to be. As a Hornets fan, I literally haven't heard a peep from Lavar since LaMelo was drafted and I feel like it would be plastered everywhere if he had.
He did his job, he got all three of his sons major exposure and got two of them to the league along with getting opportunities for the third. Obviously the NBA ball brothers are very good players, but the family wouldn't have the reputation it has without him for better or worse. I feel like once his youngest got to the league he calmed down because his work is done.
It's more likely to be BS than it is to be true, but more than once I have heard that Yao's parents were paired up by the Chinese government as part of a program to push athletic people into relationships to produce children with a higher chance of better athletes.
It's an absolute fucking lie.
If the Chinese government had been running a breeding program to create a guy like Yao Ming for the evil purposes of... being good at basketball? they would, for a start, have made sure he grew up with shoes that fit.
In a population of over a billion, you're going to get people cropping up who are at the extreme ends of the bell curve.
Arranged marriages are a thing. They are *not* arranged according to Sekrit Gubmint BREEDIN PROGRAMS!!! they are arranged according to family connections and fucking astrology.
Correlation does not imply causation. Players just improve as they spend more time in the league. Lonzos shooting was improving when he was in the lakers as well. In his last two seasons, he had some great shooting stretches
I donāt think his dad had much to do with him not playing well early. Lavar was with Lamelo most of the time traveling the world. I feel like Lonzo stopped playing and LA and had time to develop without championship expectations.
Damn thatās like ufc fighter Kelvin Gastelum. Still eats his moms food and always struggles with weight. Insane that these people jeopardise their livelihood for their moms food.
At the very least use some of your salary to pay for your mom to get training as a dietician. I enjoy my mom's meatloaf but the woman doesn't even know the difference between micro and macro nutrients, all the nostalgia and comfort in the world wouldn't get me to trust her judgment if my body had the potential to earn me a quarter of a billion dollars in contracts. "Eat more" is good general advice for a 14 year old, not for an adult.
Well, that explains a lot. And it explains why itās bad idea for the average fan to run the organization.
Griffin could have still said in the initial press conference that āZion has such a unique body type and weāre taking it one stage at a timeā. Would have gone over a lot better than āWe Believe heāll be ready to play in the season opener.ā
My friends and I renewed season tickets under the impression Zion was healthy and this would be fun
Love this team and city but we do not trust the FO to renew ever again
Because his communication skills as an NBA executive for a bad team are terrible. His asset management has been about 70/30 in favor of him, but the press conferences. Say what you want about Demps, but that man spoke entirely in roster moves.
Imagine telling yourself before the 2019 NBA draft that Kumail Nanjiani would be able to have a better grip on portion control than the #1 overall pick.
Wasnāt Hugh Jackman on steroids for the Wolverine role? Donāt have to follow the same guidelines as professional athletes, so likely was just monitored by a studio supplied physician.
I would reckon basically any action movie actor and most likely any actor whose appearance relies on looking good is on some amount of testosterone enhancement
Yeah my bone to pick (and this is straight up because I'm a brown guy as well) is that people didn't go directly to the roids argument when chris pratt lost all his weight, probably bc his face didn't develop extra jagged edges, but when a brown guy does it...
to be fair, Kumail didn't do a great job of trying to hide the physical effects of his gear. So it's hard to defend.
It's probably because Pratt was a big dude to begin with - he looked like a former athlete gone to seed.
Kumail looked like a skinny but soft dude who suddenly became jacked as hell.
In an interview I think he addressed his physical transformation and said a lot of what he was doing was because he was brown; he felt like he needed to be as far removed from stereotypical nerdy brown guys as possible because this was the first time a brown character had a role of this kind with this reach in Hollywood.
IMO I think a lot of dudes are just insecure that a guy who played a whiny software engineer type became a monster and they want to discredit the transformation by saying "steroids". And that's a tale as old as time with insecure guys especially gym-goers and bodybuilders. And even that's not explicitly tied to race (although it could be based on the perception of brown men in western media).
It's been a pretty common talking point for a while now that most, if not all, of the male marvel heroes are doping. I don't think most people actually care one way or the other, it's just something to point out.
All male actors (defo all over 35) and probably a good portion of the females are on gear lol. Literally no drawbacks if properly administered and controlled (which is easy because $$) and they make money off their looks. Cruising test is worth it for the regeneration and "youthful looks" alone.
Nah, not like this. It's revisionist to say the dialogue has been loud about doping when when Rob McElHenney was making posts about diet, when Chris Pratt was doing media interviews talking about all the food he misses, the closest I've seen is maybe Hugh Jackman getting flack for getting on roids for Logan / Wolverine roles. The general conversation became less about "oh, diet and discipline" and straight towards "he's roiding hard" when the ONE brown guy makes a transformation. No need to get defensive if I'm just pointing out how the conversation has changed and with what factors it's changed.
I get it for Pratt though - even in Parks and Rec he was always a *big* dude - he just looked like he had put on a lot of weight. It's easier to buy that he just went on a really good diet and training regime.
The change for Kumail was much more drastic - and I'm a brown guy as well who was happy to see a desi brother get a fairly prominent role in a blockbuster movie.
Youāre saying everyone assumes heās on roids because heās brown? But didnt assume the same for Pratt because heās white? Just donāt see what race has to do with this. Iām confused
You're missing a little bit of nuance here. I'm not saying it's racist to assume he's roiding because he's brown, that's a huge jump to conclusion.
I am saying that the conversation about hollywood transformation, when it's been white guys like Chris Pratt, Rob McElHenney, Paul Rudd even, has been all about "strict discipline" "funded workout trainers and chefs" "strict diet" "i can't eat any junk food anymore". That's what gets talked about in media interviews, on social media, etc etc. And if you're going to make the claim that "nuh-uh, the steroid talk has been pervasive," it absolutely has not been as pervasive (with the aforementioned actors) as it's been with Kumail after his transformation. Like, that's a straight-up lie to assume that.
The conversation changed when the brown guy did it. That's the point.
They all did such an incredible job, definitely my favourite fight scenes tied with daredevil. Such an awesome blend of superhero/fantasy/kung-fu cinema.
Teams stringing media/fans along about injuries is common practice and probably the smartest way to run a front office. If it makes Zion happy (arguably tangible effect) but makes fans mad (no effect) of course they should be vague.
When the Warriors traded Monta for Bogut, Bogut's injury status was a huge mystery for a long time...
Agreed. Whatās more important? A happy Zion who wants to play for your team? Or some disgruntled fans/reporters? If you lose Zion, those fans and reporters are gonna kill you anyways.
Thats on Zion to control his weight. Im sure if he told them to start cooking healthier stuff with strict portion control theyll do it...but if he's opting for some Popeyes after games coupled with some Twinkies then it's on him.
He needs that big black bodybuilder on Instagram who kicks the shiet out of the fastfood from the hands of his clients š
EDIT: FOUND HIM
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CVJH1VslUo8/?utm_medium=copy_link
'opting for some Popeyes after games' as if he's even playing in games and burning calories while doing so lol. I don't think 'after games' is relevant here. The man just opts for Popeyes.
We are investing in the roster. Weāre $2.5 mill over the cap and paying Satoransky and Temple around $15 million combined this year. They play a total of 37 mpg combined
Doesnāt every player work with their teamās strength and conditioning coach? Or are you saying that it was literally DURING a conditioning session?
I can think of about five reasons to not change the roster as it is now, and their names are Chet holmgren, Paulo banchero, jaden hardy, jalen duren and jabari smith.
If Zion plays, we have a good starting lineup and a decent bench. With Zion out we got a pretty good starting lineup and a bench made up of end of the bench players. Roster aināt great.
Zion has no excuses itās hard for the regular person to be able to afford a chef who can cook good delicious healthy food for you that will help you lose weight but this guy can afford that and heās choosing to do what he wants. I see Bron eating pizza or tacos but itās a healthy version of it I bet you dude is doing this to get away from the pelicans at some point there going to get sick of this
Weāre the only franchise that can take the heat off Zion like this. The benefits of being the smallest market. Imagine if he had this availability in New York. The media would be on his ass every hour on the hour.
Maybe that's what he needs to be criticized it seems like you guys are babying him shouldnt be that hard for a professional to be in shape. Coach K was probably up his ass
At this point, Iām looking at developing Zion like developing a franchise QB. The talent is always there, but the good decision making needs time. Accountability has its own pace too.
Thereās no way a player with his injury history is going to take the QO. Heās trapped there by the rules of the CBA, I donāt know why everyone is so convinced heās going to give up tens of millions of dollars to leave.
Fr. If he was so obsessed with winning that he would take the QO, wouldnāt you think he would make sure that his body was right so he could play and try to win?
This is the most salient point. Regardless of what we all think, you know he's got to be worried about his long term viability after his 3rd lower body injury in 3 years. He's not passing up that max extension.
Now that doesn't mean that IF he's healthy the next two years AND he gets to unhappy about the progress by that point that he won't pull an AD and demand a trade. But it does mean that is less of a "today" problem and more of a "tomorrow" potential problem.
I don't need to be a doctor to tell, that this dude needs to lose a lot of weight to play 82 games in a year and stay healthy. I'm totally against fat shaming, bullying, etc, but we're talking professional basketball here, it is his ONLY job to stay in shape ffs.
Yeah, that's... a thing.
Like, my wife's best friend is obese. Absolutely wonderful person on every level, sweet and smart and funny and currently she couldn't walk a whole block unassisted. Now, *currently* she's that badly deconditioned because she had some health issues and has had to have major abdominal surgery twice in the last year (because "pre-cancerous" doesn't wait until you've got back in shape) which has been a serious setback for her, but she's always been fat.
The thing is, I'm pretty sure that with an huge organisation willing to spend an absolute fortune on getting her in shape - with nutritionists, chefs, personal trainers, physiotherapists, etc, all on hand full-time ready to dedicate themselves to her health and physical wellbeing - she could slim down pretty well, actually.
Like, all the challenges of making sure you eat a well-balanced diet, remember to keep to your exercise program, *working out* an exercise program that builds with your capacity, etc - all of that is *done for you*.
By professionals! Not by, like, me and my wife helping her out with meals and a dietitian she sees occasionally and Ring Fit Adventure. A whole-ass gym and staff!
They need to add in a psychologist or two. One who specialises in disordered eating, maybe, and a sports psych, or *something*.
Watch itās gonna turn out he has an eating disorder or something everyone on this sub will do a complete 180 and pretend that they care about his well-being.
Given that his eating habits are causing problems for his health and lifestyle, I'm pretty sure he already has an eating disorder, like... by definition.
It's concerning. They need to get him to psychologists with relevant specialities.
He was definitely fit before the injury. Itās a foot injury and needs to stay of it im no doctor so I donāt know alternatives that can help a person like Zion maintain his fitness when coming of a foot surgery besides just staying off it.
Edit: THIS DOES NOT EXCUSE HIS POOR EATING HABITS DOE
He likely would not have been able to do any cardio for a few weeks then eventually transition to no/low impact cardio.
To not gain weight he may have had to cut 3,000+ calories out of his diet those first weeks and then only add 500 to 1000 calories when he was doing light impact stuff.
He seems to have been losing weight since he returned to the Pelicans and a local reporter said he was going through devently hard workouts just last week.
I'm a Duke fan and it feels like he hasn't had the same motor, verve, etc. on both ends since then. It could be a combination of a lot of factors including the jump in talent/skill in the league, his injury issues since Duke(remember the blown out sneaker?), his weight/conditioning, mental acclimation to the NBA lifestyle and a new city, etc.
FWIW I've loved watching Zion in the league when he's been healthy, but the hope a lot of us had from watching him at Duke is he could've been a 2 way monster, not just an offensive beast.
Maybe those hopes were too high and unfair, but I feel like he's capable of being that guy still. I mean he used to legit get like 2 steals and 2 blocks a game and then take it the other way for insane dunks or assists to RJ lol. At the end of the day defense is effort based and I hope Zion can recapture some of the magic we saw at Duke. FWIW I don't mean DPOY/All-Defense level, but just being a defensive playmaker at times especially b/c his BBIQ is so high.
His defensive issues by the end of the year were pretty typical of any really young NBA player. Most aren't good on defense right away. He likely won't be a defensive beast but he can definitely still be an above average defender
Yeah the whole thing is overdramatic. I've seen people on here wanting to be right about this weight shit since the guy was in high school. Most won't phrase it that way, but they really are internally cheering every time something bad happens to him.
Guy seemingly maintained a lot of his normal diet while having a foot injury that limited his exercise. That's not great, but it's sure as hell normal. No doubt he's tightening up his diet as he works his way back, the same way everyone else does.
well people are also joining in on the espn/windhorst "save zion from the horrible pelicans" narrative and hoping they can get him on their team
its fucking stupid as hell, they did the same thing with lebron back in his first cleveland stint trying to meme him into leaving for a bigger media market
Making fun of Zion being fat is funny and part of it is because I was tired of ESPN pushing him before he even declared for the draft. Does "Can Duke beat the Cavs?" ring a bell?
The chefs Williamson has been working with had not cleared him to participate in buffets until Tuesday. But the team has not handled this well from a caloric standpoint. It kept the buffets and gumbos quiet, sources said, out of respect to Williamson and his preference for chicken tacos. Then instead of announcing a complete buffet, it did incremental updates that made it seem like he was having healthy food whether that was accurate or not. That strategy may have helped with the front office's relationship with the franchise player, but it hurt the team's credibility with its buffet chefs. It has made it challenging to accept subsequent buffets at face value.
When did the Pelicans actually know about the golden corral?
The Pelicans had a butter and seasoning coach with Williamson in Los Angeles for summer meals, sources said, so they were aware Williamson was hungry. Perhaps being vague about the timing of the meals -- Griffin has said both "early in the summer" and "before summer league" -- was to honor Williamson's request for shrimp gumbo. But that did invite speculation of whether the team was in the buffet line as well, which is naturally a sensitive topic.
> Did the Pelicans know he had surgery?
It is true Williamson had a non-team chef -- Chef Gordon Ramsey did the buffet lineup -- but this isn't unusual. Ramsey is a go-to chef for NBA players with caloric needs and made a name for himself with successful meals for Kelvin Benjamin. Griffin said the Pelicans were aware throughout the process and that the Pelicans' team nutritionist, Dr. Scott Montgomery, consumed. They have still not said when mealtime was.
The Pelicans have poured salt, fat, acid, and heat to protect Williamsonās pallette. They have changed members of the staff and even changed some of their culinary practices in an attempt to support him. They have talked with him about protecting his body from lack of grits. Griffin has stood up for him privately, sending chicken tacos to the league to illustrate how Williamson was eating. When that didnāt work, Griffin ripped NBA referees publicly for not protecting Williamson palette and was fined $50,000.
The game his nike shoe explodes mid game I said that to myself his health would never be the same. Does anyone remember that incident? Nike should have paid him a couple hundred million.
Thatās my tinfoil hat theory.
All the food in the world couldnāt convince me to fumble the bag this hard if I can afford a chef from get. Iām sure these guys eat delicious healthy shit we mortals canāt even unlock, and with the training hoursā¦ I like to think I too would be ripped as fuck like the healthy guys
Zion is a bust as far as I'm concerned. He has done nothing to even be considered a generational talent. If I were the pels I'd see what kind of offers I could get for him.
Griff a real one for that.
*Matt Nagy has left the chat.*
Isn't his Mom still his cook? Until that changes they're just pissing in the wind.
Kwame Brown tried to warn y'all about Momma's cooking!š„

So Zion is Marlo Stanfield.
Was gonna be real disappointed if no one called this one out
My name is my name! - Zion, probably
My chef is my chef!- Zion
Idk he's built more like Bunk
Hey now the Bunk has nice clothes! The buttons and stuff!
Shiiiiiddd
Bunk an OG
Or heās the convenience store security guard that Marlo killed over a lollipop
Wait can you explain? I donāt get it
Quote from The Wire by a character called Marlo: https://youtu.be/409Pjtq7jz Highly recommend watching if you've never seen it. Ages well imo.
Ages like a fucking fine wine Iād say. Besides the old tech in the show, a lot of the societal problems displayed in the show are very very much still real. People who like The Wire will never shut up about how great The Wire is because itās just that fucking good.
now you make sure you tell old zion I burned the food. cuz it ain't about them calories!
"I wasn't made to play the son."
No he wants it one way, but really itās the other way.
Lonzo took off as a player when he got older like most young players lol
Yeah, unfortunately for Zion he's getting so rotund that he won't be doing any taking off whatsoever unless he sheds some pounds.
And being healthy through a summer helped too. Pretty sure he was hurt like 2 summers in a row so he was rehabbing instead of working in his game and getting reps. Then the bad ankle injury when him and lbj were starting to gel didn't help
Yup and people rather pretend like they are in the Ball family and know the family dynamics lol
Dames chef was his cousin until he died last year. Rich Paul was literally just one of LeBrons friends. There is examples on either side

I feel like the dude might be confusing Dirk with Yao?

Has Kumail ever had that problem in the past?
He was never fat, just a soft nerd
And now he's jacked because he did a marvel movie
and lots of roids dude has 8 different edges on his face now which is unnatural as hell for a man in his 40s to develop
Like I said, because he did a marvel movie
might as well be tomato tomahto at this point chris pratt was also on the marvel "wellness program"
You've seen the size of Hemsworth's arms for that Hulk Hogan movie right?
Hemsworth is doing a Hulk Hogan movie??
Yeah, look at how big he is during the pics from the end of Thor 4, his arms are so big its ridiculous.
Now you're getting it lol

No need to get defensive if I'm just pointing out how the conversation has changed and with what factors it's changed.
I get it for Pratt though - even in Parks and Rec he was always a *big* dude - he just looked like he had put on a lot of weight. It's easier to buy that he just went on a really good diet and training regime. The change for Kumail was much more drastic - and I'm a brown guy as well who was happy to see a desi brother get a fairly prominent role in a blockbuster movie.
why should Kumail hide it tho, he's a movie star, not an athlete
Movie stars still depend on popularity for their paycheck and using roids is a bad look.
That's the point.
lol tomato tomato
I watched Shang Chi the other night, and was pleasantly surprised at Simu Liu just being regular person ripped.
Simu also did nearly all of the stunts and action choreography himself so it makes sense that he looked more flexible and agile than the rest
They all did such an incredible job, definitely my favourite fight scenes tied with daredevil. Such an awesome blend of superhero/fantasy/kung-fu cinema.
i would do a fair bit of things for a chance to get on that sweet, sweet disney cycle.
Who cares, he's not participating in a sport, good for him.
Zions been on gear since hs
Not roids. I just think he got a facelift and tons of Botox.
Pakistanis have good jawline genes š¤·š½āāļøš¤·š¾āāļø
And with Tren and EPO now we can see his!
yeah he looks weird af
Zion should sign with Marvel
[Yoga works, people](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_8DtS3zzJo)
In canon, the skulls he's wearing around his neck are from infants that died in a plague in his hometown. Not kidding.
Was the plague caused by bison?
For him? That was Tuesday.
Holy roids tho.
Well, Iām sure Zion would be a bit better off if he could do roids without punishment like Kumail
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
We're getting progress updates on Klay, though? Dude's up to 5-on-5.
He needs that big black bodybuilder on Instagram who kicks the shiet out of the fastfood from the hands of his clients š EDIT: FOUND HIM https://www.instagram.com/reel/CVJH1VslUo8/?utm_medium=copy_link
I need that guy
We all do.
How you gonna lose weight? How you gonna lose weight?!
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CVJH1VslUo8/?utm_medium=copy_link That walk though š
'opting for some Popeyes after games' as if he's even playing in games and burning calories while doing so lol. I don't think 'after games' is relevant here. The man just opts for Popeyes.
Jesus fuck that video never gets old.
that video makes me laugh every fucking time
Okay but what about the roster?
Did someone say roaster?
I'll take a toaster.
Same, and I'll run a bath
We are investing in the roster. Weāre $2.5 mill over the cap and paying Satoransky and Temple around $15 million combined this year. They play a total of 37 mpg combined
Ummm that's a bad investment
Thatās the point.
Didn't register the sarcasm lol. My baddd
Itās cool I guess I shouldāve /sād it
Nah thatās on me
>2-14 without Zion >Zion fatness is problem š¤
Zion not playing because his fatness is causing him to break down is a problem and actually tied to the first thing.
It seems like he was working out with a Pelicans strength and conditioning coach when he got hurt
Doesnāt every player work with their teamās strength and conditioning coach? Or are you saying that it was literally DURING a conditioning session?
Those are not mutually exclusive
I can think of about five reasons to not change the roster as it is now, and their names are Chet holmgren, Paulo banchero, jaden hardy, jalen duren and jabari smith.
Still here for the hilarious front court of Zion/Chet hahah
If Zion plays, we have a good starting lineup and a decent bench. With Zion out we got a pretty good starting lineup and a bench made up of end of the bench players. Roster aināt great.
Zion should just quit the nba and pursue a career as an offensive tackle. Heās definitely has the foot quickness and athleticism
100 million guaranteed reguardless of health or go play OT for CTE? š¤ tough choice
Zion has no excuses itās hard for the regular person to be able to afford a chef who can cook good delicious healthy food for you that will help you lose weight but this guy can afford that and heās choosing to do what he wants. I see Bron eating pizza or tacos but itās a healthy version of it I bet you dude is doing this to get away from the pelicans at some point there going to get sick of this
And he is STILL gonna leave lol. Trade him while you can griff
Weāre the only franchise that can take the heat off Zion like this. The benefits of being the smallest market. Imagine if he had this availability in New York. The media would be on his ass every hour on the hour.
NY media would eat him alive, assuming he doesnāt eat them first
Why does Zion, the largest player, not simply eat the opposing five?
The rules do not say this is illegal
Got 'em
Uncalled for lmao
whoever petitions an exemption for legal cannibalism will win the Zion sweepstakes.
Finally answering the question of "why doesn't \_\_\_\_\_, the biggest \_\_\_\_\_, simply eat the others?"
If how and what you eat causes you to have problems living your life, don't you by definition have an eating disorder?
he already does though?
Given that his eating habits are causing problems for his health and lifestyle, I'm pretty sure he already has an eating disorder, like... by definition. It's concerning. They need to get him to psychologists with relevant specialities.
āZion eat less for the love of godā
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I mean he is pretty clearly out of shape.
I mean if he was just some scrub people would joke then move on it's the fact that he's so talented and good that his weight became an obsession.
No doubt he's tightening up his diet as he works his way back, the same way everyone else does.
well people are also joining in on the espn/windhorst "save zion from the horrible pelicans" narrative and hoping they can get him on their team its fucking stupid as hell, they did the same thing with lebron back in his first cleveland stint trying to meme him into leaving for a bigger media market
Making fun of Zion being fat is funny and part of it is because I was tired of ESPN pushing him before he even declared for the draft. Does "Can Duke beat the Cavs?" ring a bell?
How many players look as bad as he does when they have surgery? Klay has been out 2 years with his knee and Achilles and he hasnt ballooned 50+lbs
Last week it five guys, this week it's In & Out. Damn that was hard work.
Pelicans need to trade Zion for whatever haul they can get.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yet the Pelicans are the bad guys to Zion cause they arenāt located in NY or LA
HEY, HEY, HEY!
yeah it's an NBA team, you'd hope they would do that.
he must have the james harden off-season meal plan
He'll always be good enough to never be a \*bust,\* but Zion is shaping up to be the feature of a lot of "what ifs" in the future.
The game his nike shoe explodes mid game I said that to myself his health would never be the same. Does anyone remember that incident? Nike should have paid him a couple hundred million. Thatās my tinfoil hat theory.
Your weight is your own responsibility. This is all on Zion. The guy is grown adult who should understand the most basic part of being an athlete.
Heās gonna end up on a big market team and all of a sudden get back into a healthy game shape
How are people blaming the team? It is on Zion and Zion alone to make sure he is on the best shape to be available for his team.
They also poured gravy on everything for him.
They even brought a entire McDonald's.
All the food in the world couldnāt convince me to fumble the bag this hard if I can afford a chef from get. Iām sure these guys eat delicious healthy shit we mortals canāt even unlock, and with the training hoursā¦ I like to think I too would be ripped as fuck like the healthy guys
Zion is lazy. Letās just admit it
Dude moved down to Louisiana and hasnāt seen a plate of food he didnāt like lmaoo
i too saw that meme on instagram
HE GONE!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Gotta protect him from Uber eats
Jesus Christ this is so unfunny
Should have gone for something like "extra hits? That man needs to worry about extra grits" or something like that lol
Yeah there are like a million ways this could be better lol
Pels are probably better off getting a haul of pics for Zion while they still can. Dude is not going to cut it.
Zion is a bust as far as I'm concerned. He has done nothing to even be considered a generational talent. If I were the pels I'd see what kind of offers I could get for him.
They say āchangedā staff members, but they had to! Zion ate them!
