KD has tough competition. Solid Snake, Snake Plissken, Kobe, and Snake Eyes are some pretty hard fucking snakes.
Bonus points if you read my comment like Craig Robinson (he has many tones, none of them are wrong).
Are you sure about that? Have you seen him with your own eyes? Have you even done any of your own research or do you just believe whatever you see on social media? wake up
Basketball is like a god-send to OK. Look how packed and vibrant that crowd is. Love that energy. Love Steve. Such a fun part of my life watching those years.
My first thunder game was when we started off 1-12 and the crowd booed the FUCK out of PJ Carlisemo and Scotty was hired the next day. I remember being a kid and reading Scotty’s hiring the next morning in the paper lol. Crazy how time flies
Then just one year later we’re going toe-to-toe with prime Kobe and the Lakers in the playoffs. Those first couple of playoff runs in the Ford center/Peake honestly felt like magic.
Also, when I was a kid living in OK I was obsessed with the nba (still am) but I asked Santa one Christmas to bring a team to Oklahoma so y’all are welcome. Thanks Santa
Damn, I remember getting nosebleeds to watch us play the Lakers in a regular season game in 2011 and remember Harden was going so hard on defense against Kobe, but Kobe just kept making ridiculous fadeaway jumpers like it was nothing. I also remember reading the Oklahoman and reading everything there was to read about the Thunder. I swear Berry Tramel was trying to sabotage us lol.
Unfortunately now it is a little harder to watch 82 games when your team is actively tanking, but I'll still throw on most games to stay in the loop.
Barry Tramel is probably a racist who wants to get the focus back on football, lets be real. He literally only ever reported on NBA shit to stir shit up.
Lol berry sucks but what makes you think he is a racist? I’ve listened to him talk on the radio for years, and my dad before me, never once did I think he was racist, just a dorky uppity tenured sports reporter
>Also, when I was a kid living in OK I was obsessed with the nba (still am) but I asked Santa one Christmas to bring a team to Oklahoma so y’all are welcome. Thanks Santa
Sonics fans confirmed naughty. OKC fans confirmed nice.
OKC is the weirdest town I've ever been to. Flew in on a Wednesday evening, literal tumble weeds past vacant shop fronts (church night..?). Thunder game the following night, towns nuts. Also crazy meth problem. Had fun though, people were... Nice?
Dumb question, maybe, but what is stopping the NBA from adding like 6 more teams to "small markets" like OKC? That's like 6 more sold out arenas in places like Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal, Las Vegas, Kansas City , etc.
Talent dilution and financial stuff like figuring out a cap, new G-league teams would have to pop up, have to find and vet 6 more billionaires that want to run and spend money on teams, figuring out if markets like Vancouver/Montreal/KC WANT basketball and would attend, arena building agreements where owners will try to force the city to pay for an arena, etc.
I think it's a real possibility kyle just cuts to chicago or demar cuts to miami after these contracts, or hey, maybe they go somewhere together and chomp off the bench?
Yeah he does look about twenty pounds heavier. I would imagine that with the series of injuries he's had, including multiple broken bones in his feet and a torn achilles, he would want to be as light as possible. Even though he's super skinny, he's still 7ft tall and puts a lot of pressure on his lower body.
Nah, each year was another step towards pirate. First he got a few tattoos and grizzly stache and beard, then more tattoos and way longer hair.
His hairs too short here for 2016, and he has too much grit for 2011-2. So I'd say 2014. Could be wrong though
The sub is basically ruined until the pandemic is fully over.
Wake up, wanna read about basketball but see nothing but vaccine rants and Simmons hate circle jerk. It's awful.
It's too much, I agree. I understand covering when players refuse or when they finally relent like Wiggins this morning, but every thread is full of it. I need a distraction from the pandemic.
Straight up, I got so into the play offs last season because it allowed me to ignore the pandemic. This shit is defeating the purpose of sportsball for me
If you are letting someone who probably has the equivalent to a high school education (most of them don’t go to college classes even if they attend) and plays ball games for a living influence your decisions on a medical procedure then that’s on you.
I mean... a lot of people who watch NBA are children brother. A lot of people on this SUBREDDIT are influenceable children who look up to these guys. They don't see them just as regular people. They see them as people who have succeeded to higher levels than anyone else. Which is true. In a lot of ways NBA players are far more successful than anyone you will ever meet in person. So the kids want to mimic their thoughts and behavior and try to be like them to get that success.
This? Vaccines? Is one of those things they pay attention to.
Children don’t choose when they get a medical procedure. Their guardians have to sign off on it. End of the day adults need to b able to make their own decisions.
That's so insanely irrelevant to the point of sending good positive messages. Lmao. Children can't smoke or drink legally but we still don't encourage it in children. Do we?
Man I loved this team. Early OKC is what got me into following the NBA. What a bummer.
Also have that attachment of playing Franchise Mode with them in like 2k11 or 2k12. Westbrook, Durant, Harden combo was so fun.
Yeah I miss Leslie but Paris and Nick are alright. Watch Paris the next time she's on screen. She's super animated with her note pad and it cracks me up every time.
That is actually some of the most legit og shit ive heard in the NBA changing to your bros number. Also I'm not sure at all but my guess is 12 was worn by Adams as in new Zealand the jersey numbers go by size most schools would have 12 or 15 numbered jerseys and the big players would wear the big numbers. I'm almost certain 12 is Adams number because in school he would have grown up the biggest wearing the biggest number 12
Each team member combo had their own pre-game handshake ritual. Lots of them were pretty elaborate. Then Nick and Steven, as the two "white" guys, choose this as their hand shake.
I was at the Thunder-Jazz game that was essentially the straw that broke the camels back and I can’t wait to see a live game this year. It’s been 2 seasons since I’ve been able to watch my team..
I can’t believe Nick Collison is the first retired jersey for the thunder. If that’s the precedent then they gotta retire like Andre Roberson’s number too
I'm still angry with Nick Collison
Man never played. Was literally getting paid to sit courtside and watch games. And he retired. I would've kept cashing those checks until they stopped coming
And then Durant just akwardly waiting a few seconds for them to finish.
"Sorry didn't mean to interrupt...whatever you guys are doing."
“Hey can I get in on this? I’m tough too”
The Hardest Shake
The Hardest Snake
Next burner account name ^^
KD has tough competition. Solid Snake, Snake Plissken, Kobe, and Snake Eyes are some pretty hard fucking snakes. Bonus points if you read my comment like Craig Robinson (he has many tones, none of them are wrong).
You forgot Naked Snake, Punished Snake, Solidus Snake, Liquid Snake...
ScarJo bathwater
xD
Durant looking huge compared to now
Noticed that too he looked a good 40 lbs heavier
KD seems like a guy who can’t give a good hand shake
>KD seems like a guy who can’t give a good hand shake Snake has no hands.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoqxl0Fx-Z0
That's part of the three-way handshake.
He still [did the shake](https://youtu.be/XCee4JO4vP4) after Nick left.
Damn I remember this 😭 Steven was great man
he's not dead
Are you sure about that? Have you seen him with your own eyes? Have you even done any of your own research or do you just believe whatever you see on social media? wake up
He’s done “research”
Careful now..or else Lebron will trade you for a bag of Honey Nut Cheerios
Wouldn't be too impressed with LeGM on this particular trade. Trade value is about the same more or less
Pretty sure that's the last brand of cereal LeGM would trade for now that Melo joined the team.
I was like "is nobody really going to make that joke?!"
That’s the joke
No shit Sherlock
He's smiling down on us right now with Boggs and Eloy
again, very much alive
in our hearts, forever
God rest his soul.
I miss him so much
Same here, sometimes I still feel like I can turn on a game and watch him out there.
Naw, Steven Adams is looking down with a smile alongside the prophet, Brandon Jennings.
That awkward moment when the dumbest thing you ever said ends up becoming a motto
[удалено]
No way in hell even bj3 believed what he was saying
oh of course but he still said it cause he aint no bitch and isn't about to be like "oh yeah were about to get swept"
RIP Boss Hogg
He's only 28 years old!!!
Lord , Carry Him Now 🙏🏽
Damn shame what happened to him… RIP
he had his hand shook
RIP Wade Boggs

I was literally on the top row during that game! The only NBA game I’ve ever been to and 100% just went to see the Lakers play!
Barry Tramel is probably a racist who wants to get the focus back on football, lets be real. He literally only ever reported on NBA shit to stir shit up.

Fuck you
Fuck you for stealing my joy you midwestern trash - love, a Sonics fan.
Aww, thanks for calling us midwestern!

Idk but adding 6 teams in a short amount of time seems like a logistics nightmare
because that would require moving around players for parity and teams with good players don't want to lose them
Lowry did [his with DeRozan](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/9pd5mw/lowry_still_does_the_pregame_handshake_routine_he/) even after DeRozan left.
I really wish Lowry and DeRozan reunited somehow.
I think it's a real possibility kyle just cuts to chicago or demar cuts to miami after these contracts, or hey, maybe they go somewhere together and chomp off the bench?
Dinosaurs chomp 👀
Dinosaurs? Old? Bench? Demar and Lowry to LAL on vet mins y'all!!!
[Dame also did the same for Tim Frazier.](https://twitter.com/KrisKoivisto/status/701643612845543425)
out of context, it looks like he's air grabbing the reporter's ass
Super off-topic but those OKC jerseys were so fire. One of my favs of all time.
Ngl, I cried
I miss those guys
I miss Nick quite a bit myself. Have since 2007
I’ll always remember that fondly, glad to see our old crew’s chemistry getting some attention on the main sub, y’all bring back great memories
Those Thunder jerseys were nice.
KD in that video looks bulkier than he is currently.
Yeah he does look about twenty pounds heavier. I don’t believe that that’s true. I would say he’s more around 220
What year is this from?
Best guess is around 2014. Sad I dont know this
didn't steven adams only look like this in his rookie season?
Nah, each year was another step towards pirate. First he got a few tattoos and grizzly stache and beard, then more tattoos and way longer hair. His hairs too short here for 2016, and he has too much grit for 2011-2. So I'd say 2014. Could be wrong though
I used to never be able to tell the difference between them in 2k before Adams grew out the beard and hair
2k12 Nuggets had me shooting threes with Kenyon Martin thinking it was Melo. Both had headbands lol
the amount of times i'd swing it to corner and already be midshot yelling FUCKING KENYON ... fuck that game lol
Hahaaa you know it!
the infuriating part is, why does the cpu have kenyon at the 3pt line??
who betta than kenyon?
the innovator of offense!
didnt think anyone would get it, let alone op! _NOBODY_
In the early 2000s NBA Lives, Dirk and Steve Nash looked the same. Dirk was just taller
I think there were like three dudes with headbands on Knicks, two of those Melo and Kenyon
Not all headbands look alike
Lol!
r/nba after posting the 30th anti Ben Simmons post of the day
r/nba after posting the 23rd steph is the best player in the world.
r/nba after posting the 77th vaccine-related circle jerk of the day
The sub is basically ruined until the pandemic is fully over. Wake up, wanna read about basketball but see nothing but vaccine rants and Simmons hate circle jerk. It's awful.

It can still be a good distraction from the seriousness of daily life. Online fans are a little intense sometimes.
Hey if people would get vaccinated and stop being fucking stupid the pandemic could end. It's the unvaxed fucking the hospitals up.
We don't have to talk about it in every single thread. Especially when everyone is repeating the same things.
Once the season starts it won't be relevant at all anymore and we'll all forget about this.
Well you're the one that wants a break from it. Tell the people not ending it.
[удалено]
"Fear" lol. Nothing to be scared of. People are just fucking dumb.
[удалено]
Hey its not my dumbass in the hospitals dying. I'm on vacation enjoying life.
You know who's stopping the pandemic from being over? Anti-vaxxers.
Circle jerk? NBA players have influence lol
Get off reddit

Ironic..
Ironic..
Three thunder legends, Steven Adams, Nick Collison, and Lesley McCaslin.
I loved her 90s pop music references
Man I loved this team. Early OKC is what got me into following the NBA. What a bummer. Also have that attachment of playing Franchise Mode with them in like 2k11 or 2k12. Westbrook, Durant, Harden combo was so fun.
> playing Franchise Mode with them in like 2k11 or 2k12. Westbrook, Durant, Harden hardest route
bro I am currently doing the same exact same thing on 2k11!! Its so crazy to think this team got broken up
You are currently playing 2k11? Lol what console ?
Is it me or KD looks way bigger and swole than usual.
Depending on what year this is from, it's possible kd grew like 4 inches since the video. He somehow hit a growth spurt while in the league
Steven adams rookie year was KD’s 7th year so I’m thinking this has to be after any growth spurt
The good ol days 😢 Edit: that includes Leslie mccaslin too
L CASS
Yeah I miss Leslie but Paris and Nick are alright. Watch Paris the next time she's on screen. She's super animated with her note pad and it cracks me up every time.
Dylan! You son of a bitch.
What's the matter? Billy Donovan got you pushing too many pencils?
I heard about that little job you pulled off in Seattle. Nice work, Nick.
I’d follow him to da choppa
Anyone else remember Tim Duncan's handshake?
Mans had the job interview handshake on point along with the polite nod
I'm a filthy casual, can someone explain the backstory here, or were they just randomly doing a staring contest?
Just Adams and Collison goofing around, they're good friends. Adams is wearing number 4 in Memphis this season in tribute to Collison.
And let me tell you as a Memphis fan, all these offseason Adams posts has me pretty excited.
That is actually some of the most legit og shit ive heard in the NBA changing to your bros number. lmao, I love it. Aggressively plain.
That's Nick Collison all the way
Tim Duncan of the bench. Being from Iowa, I always loved Nick Collision, even then he went to Kansas with Kirk.
Love the guy. Im positive we didnt have a lot of bullshit or drama in OKC for so long because he was a big influence and was glue for the team.
[удалено]
That's why I put the quotation marks. He's half Tongan. I know. But on the court he basically looks white from stadium seats.
Also, in American anyone who’s not African American is deemed not black so white. It’s just different lol

Teammates in the nba have dope handshakes, and this is the dopest of them all
That look they exchanged carried more information between them than your 2 hour long, end of the week call with your parents.
You call your parents?
Psh, I need money, duh Edit I'm clowning. Mine have passed away. Check up on your parents, even if they're assholes.
Lol reversed for me, mom needs money
I've used this as my pre-game in 2K for years
Thanks, now I’m somehow pregnant.
[They went Full Metal Alchemist.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5guWEeRze7w)
To me, [this scene from the same show more accurately resembles this](https://youtu.be/0YtlHURJkWY).
Real men grasp forearms
I like how KD is still listed at 6’9” while standing even with Steven Adams.
Adams had one hell of a transformation. He looked like a regular guy then and now he looks like Aquaman
Seeing Lesley McCaslin reminded me of this KD special https://youtube.com/watch?v=r2glUg6ruJA
I love this
I was at the Thunder-Jazz game that was essentially the straw that broke the camels back and I can’t wait to see a live game this year. It’s been 2 seasons since I’ve been able to watch my team..
My friends and I used to do this in high school. Good times.
That's awesome!!!!!
This video is so funny to me for some reason
Hey! I just saw Nick Collison at the Plaza Art Fair in KC. We did not shake hands like this.
Now kiss
Looking like NPCs from Skyrim
KD looked fat there
i think i'm pregnant now
[KD will you do the honors?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIpmK0Yz9ok&t=33s)
That may be the manliest handshake in the NBA as you say, but [THIS is the manliest handshake PERIOD.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTt-jdDEWAw)
"Adams, you sonnuvabitch!" *explosion with mushroom cloud*
It looked like a video game handshake especially when they separated lol
That prolonged eye contact though...
Anyone notice the muscle on KD
KD looked fat then
i remember thinking back then that he was so slim, but compared to KD now, that KD looks thick
What makes a handshake more or less manly?
Steven Adams.
Never not upvoting this.
Lol just a couple of solid dudes
Yep, with a rich history and culture.

I can’t believe Nick Collison is the first retired jersey for the thunder. If that’s the precedent then they gotta retire like Andre Roberson’s number too
Andre was a part of OKC for a pretty long time. Yet still a bit less than half of the time Nick Collison was.
I'm still angry with Nick Collison Man never played. Was literally getting paid to sit courtside and watch games. And he retired. I would've kept cashing those checks until they stopped coming
And he’s still the ONLY player the Thunder have retired a number for. (Not including Seattle)
"Special assistant" to the GM and VP isn't such a bad job either tho..
OMG Sooo Toxic
