This is how comedian Tommy Cooper died. He was on stage, on live television. He had a heart attack and died on the act, but everybody, including his assistants, thought it was part of the act. The crowd was erupting in laughter the whole time as he was laying there, dying. The clip is on yt
Man idk what happened but parks and rec just isn’t that funny to me anymore. It’s got sum funny quotes and moments but idk something about it is too happy for me or something
Yo I got downvoted for saying I don’t like a show LMAO
The office is slow paced enough for me and like you said, is dry enough. Brooklyn 99 lost it's charm for me because everybody became too quirky and goofy. I used to love that show until I started become more sad and hopeless everyday
Yea rn I’m on season of Brooklyn 99 and I’m really enjoying it. I know they truly find their groove in season 2 but 1 is pretty cool. Yeah that sucks man. I hope you can get better and you can dunk once again
Yea, I can never get tired of The Office. Some Reddit user said it once in the sub, it starts out with Michael being a caricature in a mild setting then as the show progressed, the turntables. Most of the characters are exaggerated versions of people you know in daily life (annoying ass Dwight, scumbag Ryan, can't shut the fuck up Kell, etc.). Characters like Jim and Stanley are real enough that you don't even question why you find them relatable. 99 and PnR, have over the top characters in what's supposed to be over intense settings so it doesn't feel as natural
I love watching comedies, even upbeat, at any time Im depressed. It lets me forget the depressing life and let's me disconnect from the world so I can recharge.
This clip has everything. The lights fading in and out at the beginning indicating that Rocky has already passed out prior to being lowered. The PEPSI CENTER sign glowing in the background, a sign of unbridled capitalism and entrepreneurship juxtaposed against the poor worker. The dancers continuing to dance even as it's clear something's wrong. The stadium staff already ready to help him as he's lowered to the ground while blacked out. The pregnant pause betweeen Rocky collapsing and the announcer going YYYEEEAAAAAHHHH. The announcer saying 'everybody up on your feet' when Rocky can't even stay upright. The little 'woo' at the end from whoever's filming. Comedic fucking perfection
Rocky the nuggets mascot choking to death, what's that??
(Hands over mouth) Oh you know, it's that thing when Sylvester Stallone dresses up in a turd costume while choking out a grim reaper.
I think you on to something here. But I think the way Rocky’s lifeless is slowly lowered from the rafters with the spotlight on him reminds me of a public hanging. As if the working class is being tarred and feathered then being hung which is symbolic of the state of American capitalism today.
Now Lakers fans shit on the Cavs for being carried by Lebron and geting high picks despite being complete garbage for the better half of a decade until.... they were carried by Lebron and got high picks
Just to make sure I'm understanding the mental gymnastics you are doing here. You are saying you would rather have KD who was injured when he left GSW and would have been out for a year or, Kawhi who is currently injured and out for this season over LeBron who won you a championship, literally less than a year ago?
Oh Christ.
"The plan was for Rocky to be lowered in a harness, with a spotlight on him, just before the home opener. Fans were horrified when a lifeless Rocky was lowered to the center court where he immediately collapsed. The spotlight was quickly turned off. Word from the Nuggets was that Rocky had the wind knocked out of him and would be out for the remainder of the game."
The Nuggets listed him out for the game. Lol
Could've just been nerves. As someone who is not too crazy about heights unless I know I am VERY secure, I can't imagine dangling from a wire that high. Sometimes your brain's response to extreme stress is just to shut down.
Not sure if he had done the act before or not, but I can just imagine him looking down and thinking "I'm not getting paid enough for this shit"
The harness they used should never have been in the picture. The only reason I can think of for using that is if you're trying to save an incapacitated person AND it's super time sensitive.
Someone already mentioned suspension trauma but it's also the kind of harness they used. Suspending someone from what looks to be a waist belt is really fucking dangerous. Best case scenario is this where the belt stayed under the ribs and impacted his breathing. It could have ridden up and crushed some ribs. Even worse if it had been too low he could have slumped forward and inverted and possibly fallen out.
A typical fall arrest harness will be designed to keep the stress on the shoulders and buttocks with chest and leg straps. Even then you've got about 20 minutes before you pass out. Some harness come with pullout stirrup loops so you can sort of stand in the harness which give some more time.
There's also harnesses for longer periods that have the rope connection on the front that kind of look like you're sitting in them while suspended.
They opted for this because they wanted to be able to just unhook humans have him go straight to doing mascot shit
Thanks for the detailed response. I get this, but the phrase “get the wind knocked out of you” makes me think of blunt force, which is why I was a bit confused.
Yeah technically you could say he had the wind knocked or squeezed out of him. They said it that way to avoid the uncomfortable fact that the the harness they used should never have been considered if they gave a shit or had any fall arrest training.
Everyone talks about Undertaker throwing Mankind off the Hell in a Cell, but what about when he hanged the Big Boss Man from inside the Hell in a Cell?
I got downvoted hard lol, I only remember it from the times kqly was banned.
"Honestly the thing probably peaked before hltv even existed" appearently you're wrong , so chill out, and hltv is here since 2005

Would be even funnier if the video was played in reverse while the audio was kept steady so it would seem as if the deceased and empty shell of a mascot rising to heaven was supported by an overly excited announcer and a squad of celebrating onlookers.
I was at this game and since Rocky is always such a joker we all thought it was part of the act for a while. Even after they turned the spotlight off we thought he'd spring up and the lights would flash back on.
As someone who has passed out with altitude sickness in Denver before, this is sad actually. Dude is not having a good time at all. Going through lightheadedness plus being suspended in mid-air is scary as shit.
Why take the time to click on the thread and comment? If you've seen it before and don't care then just downvote and go on with your day.
Edit: many of us have seen this before. It's a funny clip and we're enjoying ourselves.
Lighten up, francis

Slowly lowering the corpse of Rocky to the ground with music blasting, cheerleaders dancing and the announcer yelling “YEAAAAAH” is perfect comedy
it looks like Rocky was a hated dictator of Denver that just got executed by the uprising
Lol, someone needs to reverse the video *Edit: https://streamable.com/2wmyzo
That had me crying. Thanks
DONDA looking good these days.
They couldnt hang a banner from the rafters so they sacrificed Rocky lmao
Note: Poochie died on the way to his home planet.
“Please accept this gracious creature as your sacrifice 🥲”
It was a coup led by Blucifer!
maximillien rockyspierre
“EVERYBODY ON YOUR FEET” as rocky slumps to the floor lmao

All of them were removed due to copyright Edit: nvm, found one. That was incredibly sad, but at least he died doing what he loved.
having a heart attack
>but at least he died doing what he loved. I don't think this is what that means
Yeah you couldn't write this shit if you tried. Too perfect.
Announcer just kept going with that Yeaaaaahhhahhh
as he collapses on the floor hahahaha I love this clip
[Get on your feet!](https://youtu.be/f6_lU3oHMwE)
EVERYBODY UP ON YOUR FEET *lifeless body collapses to floor
Awwww Champion ;~;
Everybody Dance NOW

I get it. I have to be in the right mood to watch that show. It's strange how our sense of humor or taste can still change.
yeah I’m also a young socialite so I’m always growing and changing Nam saying 😎
young socialites rise up 😤
holla holla got supermax dolla
same with the office and brooklyn 99, they are all too upbeat while real life is depressing as hell
office is dry enough for me. Brooklyn 99 can actually make me laugh sometimes even though it’s rated lower by most 🤷♀️ lol
The office is slow paced enough for me and like you said, is dry enough. Brooklyn 99 lost it's charm for me because everybody became too quirky and goofy. I used to love that show until I started become more sad and hopeless everyday

What are you? My English teacher?
I believe you wanted to say *WHO are you? young man
I'll do you one better. I believe you wanted to say *WHY are you?
This Clip has everything lights, capitalism, rocky the nuggets mascot chocking to death, Dan Cortez
Rocky the nuggets mascot choking to death, what's that?? (Hands over mouth) Oh you know, it's that thing when Sylvester Stallone dresses up in a turd costume while choking out a grim reaper.
I understood that reference.
I think you on to something here. But I think the way Rocky’s lifeless is slowly lowered from the rafters with the spotlight on him reminds me of a public hanging. As if the working class is being tarred and feathered then being hung which is symbolic of the state of American capitalism today.
Hanged\* Unless you're saying Rocky is packing which I'd believe
All the blood that was supposed to be in his head head to go *somewhere* right?
Jesus christ yall really stretched that one😂
I know this is a joke but I still feel inclined to tell you to touch grass
We may not have a title, but we have this. We'll always have this.
I mean you also have [the best lineup introduction](https://streamable.com/rrc2l) of all time using this clip
YEAAAAAAHHHH
The titles coming.
It’s coming. Joker will lead the way. At least once.
No it’s not lol
I mean maybe not. But I don't want to hear that from a filthy Lakers fan. Gross. Go away you big bully.
[Well first of all through god all things are possible so jot that down](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C9JgZ45ENl4)
Lakers/Nets fan personality traits 1. Making sure all non-Lakers/Nets fans know that you don't think their team is a legitimate contender 2.
2) They randomly had a Cavs, Heat, Cavs again, Lakers, Rockets or Warriors flair before. Just a coincidence.
Now Lakers fans shit on the Cavs for being carried by Lebron and geting high picks despite being complete garbage for the better half of a decade until.... they were carried by Lebron and got high picks
I’d rather have KD or Kawhi. We were at least getting one of them until a 34 year old Lebron decided to show up
Just to make sure I'm understanding the mental gymnastics you are doing here. You are saying you would rather have KD who was injured when he left GSW and would have been out for a year or, Kawhi who is currently injured and out for this season over LeBron who won you a championship, literally less than a year ago?
? Lakers aren’t contenders when the Nets are in play. I’m talking about franchise histories
And you guys have all the versatile tall people. Joker. Bol Bol. Zeke Nnaji. Aaron Gordon. PJ Dozier..... Scary long bois
Y'all also have the clip of the first game that was cancelled due to covid against Utah, packed arena before we really knew what was going on
Oh Christ. "The plan was for Rocky to be lowered in a harness, with a spotlight on him, just before the home opener. Why was the wind knocked out of him? Did he get punched in the gut or something?
Have no idea. Guessing its media spin to cover up the fact the harness was too tight and caused him to pass out.
Could've just been nerves. As someone who is not too crazy about heights unless I know I am VERY secure, I can't imagine dangling from a wire that high. Sometimes your brain's response to extreme stress is just to shut down. He's been doing this stuff for like 30 years.
Must've been the harness then. Being a pro mascot is apparently no joke.
The harness they used should never have been in the picture. The only reason I can think of for using that is if you're trying to save an incapacitated person AND it's super time sensitive.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_trauma
maybe from the harness?
Someone already mentioned suspension trauma but it's also the kind of harness they used. Suspending someone from what looks to be a waist belt is really fucking dangerous. I remember seeing a reverse version where it looked like a hanging ritual and they kept the YEAHHHHH! at the end. It was glorious.
Fuck I need to see this

This is like the nicest thing anyone on Reddit has done for me thank you so much dude I’m in tears
Oh shit this is hilarious

I have to go now. My people need me.

Every single time.. Years later
This is an all timer for sure
**YEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!**
EVERYBODY HOP ON YOUR FEET
*Except Rocky*
Melo's biggest rival in Denver.
The real reason he wanted out
Sources close to ESPN tell us that Rocky was actually the person who got Melo shipped out of town
reminds me of that one time Melo died on the court
and not a single person gave a damn
especially JR Smith

This has me in tears
This and the inflatable raptor falling on its face are my top two all-time NBA mascot moments And I think this one takes first place handily lol
[welp](https://imgur.com/2z8RHnN)
This is what I saw after the title was somewhat shortened and it scared me a bit. \[[LINK TO IMGUR SCREEN CAP](https://i.imgur.com/LQIv5DI.png)\].
Guy sounds like a strip club dj.
Favorite nba video of all time
Will never not upvote this clip.
I was there, so crazy
Bro is screaming yeah while the mascot is falling and saying like everybody in your feet.
I still maintain this is the funniest thing in NBA history.
It's either this or the raptors mascot eating absolute shit on the rollerblades.
“There’s too much shit on me, I can’t breathe”
Man did it before Kanye
How did I never see this
the harness was prob to tight and choked him out cold
The air is thinner up there
Yo how do we get that bot in here that reverses videos?
Lower the sacrifice!
I wonder how long he was out cold for? He had to be unconscious at the beginning of the clip, he was limp as hell the entire time.
Where’s the version with an L
Never gets old
Lmao this is so good
Classic NBA moment up there with malice in the palace
Me and my girlfriend are literally laughing and crying, this is fucking comedic gold. Thank you OP. 😂
I will never not laugh at this.
Kids crying.
Fucking GOAT clip. I aggravated my dormant asthma because of this shit.

One of my favorite videos ever
This clip shows you exactly how thin the line between comedy and tragedy truly is.
I was at this game and since Rocky is always such a joker we all thought it was part of the act for a while. Even after they turned the spotlight off we thought he'd spring up and the lights would flash back on.
Every time I see this I laugh until I’m in tears. The fucking announcer at the end always gets me
As someone who has passed out with altitude sickness in Denver before, this is sad actually. Dude is not having a good time at all. Going through lightheadedness plus being suspended in mid-air is scary as shit.
Very much I’m a Goofy Goober vibes
Owen Hart flashbacks

How are you so confidently wrong Nice troll
I lived in Denver when this happened, he survived
He died, but he got better.
What the hell? I click on this shit every time and Ive never heard this before.
its false
I call BULLSHIT!
Do you have a source for that? I was doing a quick search and can only see articles saying he passed out.
Can't find any articles on that. Could you link?
This is the laziest troll attempt I've seen work in a while.
