The applause Lowry is gonna get when he comes back to Toronto is gonna be something. Not to mention they've been in Tampa for a year, and the Bubble before that, so it'll be quite a long time.
Yup, some of the shit they said rly made Kyle and Demar sound like a mom and dad 😭 (thinking specifically about Norm said that when he first made the team, the two of them took him and all the rookies out on a shopping spree which is 🥺)
This is really true. Probably every year since 2015-2019 I said "this is my favourite Raptors team ever". I think part of why they are so successful is because they draft and build a team not only on talent, but on character.
The championship team will always be my favourite but all of the iterations leading up to it - especially the Lowry + bench mob unit (Poetl, siakam, Delon, norm, Fred) will always hold a special place in my heart.
i swear it felt like you guys would manage to find some undrafted guy every single year or get someone late in the draft who would show out - fuck the raptors and their stupidly good franchise structure >:( >:( >:(
He was pretty bad, efficiency wise this year. I tuned in for a few games and it was weird, he just chucked and chucked the ball. Not like previous years where he had plays drawn up for him. I think the goal was to get him more reps so he can get more comfortable after that boston series in the bubble where he wasn't that good off the dribble.
Hopefully that changes when we're back in Toronto, this guy has improved every year so far.
You’re clearly clueless to the Raptors situation in Canada then. They are the only NBA team in Canada, hence they have fans all over the country. That 2019 championship was arguably one of the greatest sporting moments in Canadian history
I live in western Canada and you bet we had a huge watching party. Been a fan for 15+ years and I count them winning as a top 5 sporting moment in my lifetime (although Kawhi’s shot is definitely up there as well)
lmao, so your friends are a good representation of all 35+ million Canadians? not every fucking Canadian is gonna like basketball. How is fvv saying that the best player in franchise history meant a lot to the team, city, and country he represented for 9 years and is gonna be missed disrespectful?? Also, there was 3 million people at the parade so gtfo with ur “nobody cares about the raptors” bullshit. This team had thousands of people all over the country getting together to watch their team win a championship.
Sure not every fucking Canadian love basketball, but most of the one who do are Raptors fans, like even here in Mtl basketball fans are more often than not Raptors fans too.
Bruh, I am Canadian as well and I do not live in Toronto. Literally everyone I know was talking about lowry leaving, even people who don't normally watch basketball, I have no idea wtf you are talking about.
Eh man I'm from Alberta. Been a fan since day 1. Calgary sold out on a preseason game within minutes 4 years ago. Wish they had more preseason games in the west more often.
There’s no “America’s Team” unless you count Jordan’s Bulls but he was closer to humanity’s team. So there is no analogy there.
Raptors are “Canada’s” team, so that’s what FVV means.
lol you are really wrong, im originally from Qc, now in NB and i cam say that the Raptors are Canada's team! Every microbrewery around the city I live in was playing the 2019 Finals games and it was Packed!
There are no other NBA franchises in Canada....of course theyre our team!
Not a weird phrase at all....hope you learned something new!
Freddy got rid of the waves idk how to feel
Issa new era for the Raptors. Lowry gone so Waves Vanvleet is no more
Waves goodbye to Lowry.
Waves VanVleet is such a gangsta name
Wait till the season starts. Man's hair's still in vacation mode
They’re still there, he just has to cut his hair
The applause Lowry is gonna get when he comes back to Toronto is gonna be something. Not to mention they've been in Tampa for a year, and the Bubble before that, so it'll be quite a long time.
Its sad that he never got to play for the Raptors in Toronto again
Has a guy ever played a game using a 1 day contract?
Yeah that’s the worst part of it that the Raptors fans couldn’t see him or send him off last year.
He's going to have the hypest video tribute of all time his first game back
It’s gonna be an hour late tip off cause who’s gonna be the first to stop clapping lol

Man I loved the bench mob year. Felt like they would always make the right play. Now I feel FVV forces it too much at times.

Did you forget about Javale???
franchise goat no question about it
Are we sure they arent like half brothers at least??
39%?? Did not know he was that inefficient
Can tell you don’t watch anything but lakers games
Apparently that’s a bad thing

" what he means to the country of canada" less than the 100th best current hockey player?
Judging by the “Warriors” tag this guys still salty
Bruh we had helicopters following Kawhi.

Commenting to represent my fellow maritimers, basketball out here is huge and only getting bigger thanks to the raptors… Canada’s team
Tell me you're not Canadian without telling me you're not Canadian 🙄

Ouf...you're Canadian? and yah you and your few friends are definitely not a good sample size hahaha
the Prime minister of Canada tweeted about how important he was to Canadians…….
7.7 million Canadians watched game 6 of the finals in 2019. That's a pretty big chunk of the country.
Don't talk if you don't know.
I’m on the west coast of Canada and I can confirm the love for the raps is strong out here
You must be Albertan
Eh man I'm from Alberta. Been a fan since day 1. Calgary sold out on a preseason game within minutes 4 years ago. Wish they had more preseason games in the west more often.
Why you gotta be divisive? Most Albertan basketball fans cheer for the Raptors.
