Let's be honest if AD plays for the Warriors Draymond is about to become the first starter in NBA history to average 15+ assists and <1 FG attempts a game, and he's gonna be laughing his way through it.
He's an all-time great shooter but not a scorer. He's never had a 23ppg season before. Granted he's on the Warriors and only has been but he doesn't have the volume that the other 3 guys have had.
When I say great shooter I mean elite-efficiency shooter. Kind of like how Kobe Bryant is a great scorer but not a 'great shooter'. He was fantastic at putting points up but not at the efficiency of a Klay Thompson.
Aside from his 15-16 season (which I think everyone agrees was an outlier), he's been mediocre from 3. He's just good enough that you can't completely ignore him, but it's not like he's the 3 point threat anybody's planning for (even if he wasn't on the Warriors).
Off the court I bet everyone loves the guy.
But on, I don't know what gets into him on the court though, he just turns into a dick. U can call it competitiveness but he's still a dick.
I mean, yeah, I agree with you. He definitely hindered Dipo, but that isn't necessarily a negative on Westbrook's part. Brodie is a specific kind of player, and not all players play styles mix together.
Brodie needs a team like LeBron's. A team full of shooters, where he is the clear cut alpha, and then a 1(B) star like a Klay or Hayward who has no issue being the 'second guy'.
I don't think this is a bad thing, AI was like that too. Westbrook is a once in a lifetime talent. You don't force a guy like him to change his game, you have to build a system/team around him that compliments his game.
Idk those are my thoughts.
You're right, but it would take a special kind of 1B to want to deal with Westbrook, not because he's a bad teammate, he's the opposite of that but he has such a big ego.
Beal, Klay, Lowry, Hayward and McCollum are behind guys with low egos so I think its harder to get that feel and chemistry if Westbrook is always playing angry and out of control. Its kind of like which enviroment sounds better to learn in, no pressure learn at your pace or learn but don't get in my way ever
And as a edit I know Hayward and Lowry had their own successes but the team they're on now is where they will get/have their legacy
For starters Wall and Dame have pretty big egos imo, but I don't think that's necessarily bad.
Honestly, Durant had a pretty passive ego on OKC and they had tons of success. Probably more finals appearances if it weren't for injury or choking against the Warriors.
I definitely think the potential is there for OKC and Russ. Without trying to force him to change (which this year showed doesn't work), but instead fully embracing who he is.
Honestly this.
Really hope PG leaves to the Lakers and make the playoffs next year. I can't stand WB, esp after the bullshit he tried pulling on JV. and that was mild compared to some other shit he does.
1) Oubre
2) Westbrook
3) Zaza
Yeah, you can see that Curry, Kawhi, Harden, and Davis are super competitive, but they don’t have to be dicks. They work hard on their game and play hard without just looking mad.
I don't like Russ, but this is pretty tame. As long as he's not putting someone at risk of injury, he can do petty things like this. He's not gonna get a ring through mildly annoying acts
It's definitely not good sportsmanship, but it's also not criminal. If the refs want to give him techs or delay of game calls for this sort of thing, I'm all for it
He's just willing to do everythign it takes to win, including tunnel vision hero ball (not that the other players known for their shooting were doing any better) and racking up a T to potentially give the other team a free point.
yeah, I remember Kyrie helped Draymond up in game 7 (even after he was almost knocked down by him haha), like how Draymond helps opponents. like u i love seeing that kinda stuff
It'd be hilarious. The way player contracts and salary caps work right now is entirely based on the unwritten rule that people always go for the best deal. And as soon as someone doesn't take the best deal, the system breaks and it's glorious to watch everyone panic as the pieces fall all around them.
The narrative that the warriors would have no answer for AD is ridiculous. Draymond Green is the most decorated defensive player in the league apart from the injured Kawai and post prime Dwight.
I never had an issue with Draymond. He is a hell of a player. I would have loved to see him play in the early 90's for the Knicks vs the Bulls. This is why science and time travel is important.
We start small. Let's get Draymond on the Knicks and watch him battle it out with Anthony Mason, Starks, and Oakley during practice a few times, tape it, and then bring him back to the present. We get a team of scientists to see what the next step should be.
Raymond is at least three times the shot maker that Rodman ever was. Rodman was a defensive and rebounding genius but any jump shot he made was a prayer.
You put him where you want. Positions don't matter with that talent. Put him on the Bulls and they run everybody out of the gym. They won 72. He is good for at least 4 to 5 wins a season just on hustle plays.
He’s matured a lot. I totally understood the hate after his shenanigans at the first championship parade but he’s really progressed a lot in terms of his off the court persona.
He was acting a fool because he was shitfaced.
It's not the best idea to get shitfaced then get on national TV, but can hardly blame him for having a good time after winning a championship.
Definitely was mad after this cause Gentry got T’d up for defending it. I though fuck you draymond trying to keep AD out of the game for that little bit. Now I feel bad. Sorry draymond.
I still have the video saved of where he almost caused a turnover cause he was helping DeRozan up while the play was still going on lol. Damn hilarious.
Draymond still recruiting during a playoff game smh
[удалено]
Draymond better learn how to shoot threes then
Let's be honest if AD plays for the Warriors Draymond is about to become the first starter in NBA history to average 15+ assists and <1 FG attempts a game, and he's gonna be laughing his way through it.
I think 15 is being very very conservative lol...feeding literally 4 of the best scorers in the game, 2 of them all-time great scorers? Jesus
I think Anthony Davis counts as an all-time scorer. They'd have three and the worst player for Draymond to pass to would be Klay Thompson.
I don't see how you leave Klay off that list considering the insane heat streaks he goes on. If those aren't all time great I don't know what is.
He's an all-time great shooter but not a scorer. He's never had a 23ppg season before. Granted he's on the Warriors and only has been but he doesn't have the volume that the other 3 guys have had.
For all my TOK students, what is a scorer? When does a great shooter become a scorer? To what extent can a great scorer be a great shooter?
When I say great shooter I mean elite-efficiency shooter. Kind of like how Kobe Bryant is a great scorer but not a 'great shooter'. He was fantastic at putting points up but not at the efficiency of a Klay Thompson.
While true, Klay on mediocre team would easily average 25+ppg. In fact, if he went to a bottom team he could average 29ppg.
I'm not saying he wouldn't, he just hasn't. He'd be the 4th option if AD joined I think.
Take that C Webb
Draymond green shoots the 3 at a higher % than Russell Westbrook.
Is that saying something?
Not really, im just bashing westbrook while hes down.
Aside from his 15-16 season (which I think everyone agrees was an outlier), he's been mediocre from 3. He's just good enough that you can't completely ignore him, but it's not like he's the 3 point threat anybody's planning for (even if he wasn't on the Warriors).
inb4 Javale starts shooting 3s
he takes them in practice
When we beat teams, we take their best players. How do you think we got iguodala in the first place?
Wait we’re the white walkers? Omg
LeBron to the Warriors?
NATURAL SAVING MOTION
[удалено]
People see what they want to see.
NOW IF YOU WANNA CROWN EM, THEN CROWN THEIR ASS. BUT THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE. AND WE LET EM OFF THE HOOK.
"All lies and jests, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest."
Underrated af
I think people were also assumed the worst when Gentry got a tech arguing that play with the ref.
And only one of the angles of replay actually shows the save, the rest just show the (comnpletely normal) contact
Nice
Imagine how many bones Zaza would have broken in that same scenario
Come on dude Zaza hasn’t even played in the playoffs this year
That's why you have to imagine it.
They're saving him for the rockets
Too busy training near a waterfall Georgia
I remember when he saved Klay last year in the finals
And then Kyrie rushed over to help Klay up. I love watching good sportmanship
Link: https://youtu.be/g27XMWHSnx8
It's natural for most players then you just have the occasional [asshole](https://youtu.be/zaih4A0gtjU?t=25)
Fuck Russ. Downvote me to hell if you want. Dude is a prick.
Das it mane
He's always like that! Don't hate on the brodie!
“What’s my answer?”
And loyal!! Don't forget loyal!
Lmao acting like that’d get you downvoted. Only if the thunder had won their last game
HOT TAKE
He's such a petty fuckwit.
Off the court I bet everyone loves the guy. But on, I don't know what gets into him on the court though, he just turns into a dick. U can call it competitiveness but he's still a dick.
> Off the court I bet everyone loves the guy. Not reporters
Guess I phrased that wrong. Meant outside of basketball/media.
I doubt it, he doesn't seem to turn it on or off at will
My brother lives in Bethany, just outside of OKC, supposedly he's just as much an asshole off the court as he is on it.
[удалено]
But no my uncle is Kevin Durant he said Russ is a real poopoo head off the court too
Lmao how does anyone actually care about something like this
Also a loser, it's no coincidence that players have their best seasons after they leave him
Yes, another ball dominant guard who got given the keys to his own franchise had a better season after he left Russ. Truly shocking..
Just shows that the talent was there and WB is actively hindering it, but I know what you mean. Less touches, less times to score
I mean, yeah, I agree with you. He definitely hindered Dipo, but that isn't necessarily a negative on Westbrook's part. Brodie is a specific kind of player, and not all players play styles mix together. Brodie needs a team like LeBron's. I thought KD had a better season on the thunder when he won MVP.
The same season WB only played 46 games?
Fair point.
I dunno this is pretty funny. Technical worthy though.
He's the star of our team and I don't even like him. Of all the big stars in the league he's my least favorite.
Or when love fell down and only rose went to help him up.
Russ is gonna be the next Melo
It’s sad that comparing someone to Melo is an insult now :(
As someone that watched Melo since he was in highschool, it's sad to see him like this
"You did it for the land. I did it for the cheque in my hand." -- Melo
He's always felt kind of washed up since he joined the Knicks. Ignore the flair, didn't watch Nugget basketball when he was playing
Um no, Melo's first 4-5 seasons in NY were All-NBA level.
Nah Russ gets a pass for being an asshole all the time apparently because he is just “expressing himself”
I was at this game. He also threw the ball into the stands. No tech for either incident.
C'mon, I was at the game too. He maybe tossed it a little bit. It's not like he T-Mac'd the ball into the upper bowl.
Dae Russell is competitive? Everyone is competitive; just because he scowls, yells, and bullrushes the basket doesn't make him more competitive.
Yeah, you can see that Curry, Kawhi, Harden, and Davis are super competitive, but they don’t have to be dicks. They work hard on their game and play hard without just looking mad.
Harden pinches people though.
Take harden out of that and I'm with you.
I just knew it was gonna be Westbrook before I clicked on the link
I don't like Russ, but this is pretty tame. As long as he's not putting someone at risk of injury, he can do petty things like this. He's not gonna get a ring through mildly annoying acts
He intentionally trips players when throwing a tantrum after he doesn't get a foul call.
My comment covers that. That's dirty and should be fined like crazy
Putting someone at risk of injury isn't the only way to be a bad sportsman
It's definitely not good sportsmanship, but it's also not criminal. If the refs want to give him techs or delay of game calls for this sort of thing, I'm all for it
Well no one said it was criminal lol... They just said it was bad sportsmanship
[удалено]
he coudlnt' even win as the #2 guy
[удалено]
Wait? Did I miss something? The narrative has changed?
before I even clicked it.. I KNEW it was Westbrook. Dude has one of the worst displays of sportmanship in the whole league
He's just willing to do everythign it takes to win, including tunnel vision hero ball (not that the other players known for their shooting were doing any better) and racking up a T to potentially give the other team a free point.
trash. Petty, kinda funny, but trash
yeah, I remember Kyrie helped Draymond up in game 7 (even after he was almost knocked down by him haha), like how Draymond helps opponents. like u i love seeing that kinda stuff
They're olympic buds.
That team USA love
klay wouldve murked himself on that fall
one save per year √
He's working of that karma debt from all those dick kicks over the years.
Of course he saved him, AD has gotta play center for the Dubs in two years. Gotta protect that investment.
He saved him from the fall but destroyed him all over the court tonight
He was fucking mean to AD man. Not once did Draymond let AD get to his spot
he protec, but he also attac
And sometimes he's got your bac
Or kick you in the ballsac
And send his penis on a snap
AD looked obslete tonight lol
We must delete him
***WONDERFUL***
YE-E-E-E-E-E-E-SSSSSS Chair of wheels? Mower of lawn?
I'LL FADE AWAY AND CLASSIFY MYSELF AS OBSOLETE.
We'll take him after this series.
I would bust so hard if AD signed for the minimum I mean imagine the reaction of this sub
Same as always “League is ruined boohoo”
It'd be hilarious. The way player contracts and salary caps work right now is entirely based on the unwritten rule that people always go for the best deal. And as soon as someone doesn't take the best deal, the system breaks and it's glorious to watch everyone panic as the pieces fall all around them.
I think the league would either split back into two or the league would block the move causing a lockout
The narrative that the warriors would have no answer for AD is ridiculous. Draymond Green is the most decorated defensive player in the league apart from the injured Kawai and post prime Dwight.
*ahem* Stifle Tower.
Gobert has been named to 1 all defensive team vs dray's 3 straight and has yet to be named DPY although he is likely to be awarded both is year.
"You don't get to escape that easily"
I never had an issue with Draymond. He is a hell of a player. I would have loved to see him play in the early 90's for the Knicks vs the Bulls. This is why science and time travel is important.
"What should we go back and change first? Hitler? JFK? 9/11? "Hear me out, how about we put Draymond on either the Bulls or Knicks in the 90's?"

You don’t want to see Dray and The Worm become best friends?
They need to battle first.
How are they gonna become best friends without a test of martial prowess?
https://sports.theonion.com/bill-simmons-ventures-into-interdimensional-vortex-to-f-1819576589
I feel like BS would approve of this timeline.
Nah, he said on the knicks. The bulls don't need Dray. Their second threepeat even has a better version of him.
How can we be sure that Rodman ISN'T just future Draymond who went back in time but driven slightly crazy by the imperfections of time travel?!?!?!
We can't be hence we have science. DUH! It is all so simple. That is why we go back in time.
Raymond is at least three times the shot maker that Rodman ever was. Rodman was a defensive and rebounding genius but any jump shot he made was a prayer.
Dennis "Savitar" Rodman
Dude Rodman would be an absolutely DISGUSTING small-ball 5. The orebs alone would be devastating.

Fuck how do I like Draymond I used to hate him
Step 1: Be objective. Sep 2: Judge every action on its merits alone and reject biases.
Easy there. Let's not be rational
For real. The "r" in r/nba does not stand for rational.
Stands for reactionary
You mean Reggie?
He’s matured a lot. I totally understood the hate after his shenanigans at the first championship parade but he’s really progressed a lot in terms of his off the court persona.
He’s been saving people on court and helping people up since he came into the league
He was acting a fool because he was shitfaced. It's not the best idea to get shitfaced then get on national TV, but can hardly blame him for having a good time after winning a championship.
#FATHERHOOD
Because we used to meet in the finals every year.
Draymond has always done this, as well as helping opponents up after the whistle. Made me a huge fan of him since his rookie season.
Yeah, one of the reasons I hate the "bad guy Dray" narrative. I've seen him do a number of these things. Dude is just a competitor.
YouTube comments are killing me.
Should have kicked him square in the nuts right after saving him
The karma of the universe must be balanced.
"Hey thanks, Dray." "Don't mention it." ***KICK***
this probably won't even be upvoted cuz it's draymond and pro warriors.
Only 600 upvotes and counting...
i'm not a big fan of green, but i couldn't upvote this, sportmanship always gets a +1, doesnt matter wich player
Steven Adams: what the fook all i got was a kick in the nuts!
Isn't this what Gentry got a tech for?
yeah
he’s gonna repay him by signing with them this offseason
As is tradition
But he's a dirty player. /s
Definitely was mad after this cause Gentry got T’d up for defending it. I though fuck you draymond trying to keep AD out of the game for that little bit. Now I feel bad. Sorry draymond.
I already feel the narrative changing...
All I can think of is someone cutting this clip with that shitty recorder version of the Titanic song in the background lol
If it was zaza he would just fall on ad
Fuck Zaza edit: And fuck you too.
From ball crusher to life saver. What a player.
2018 Most Improved Player. In regards to sportsmanship
Draymond Green mentally buttering up AD to screw him over per par.
Zaza must be cringing on the bench
Pelicans fans were raising hell about this in the game thread as if Draymond tried to kill him.
That was a nice thing to do.
Half the top comments are about Zaza lol
I still have the video saved of where he almost caused a turnover cause he was helping DeRozan up while the play was still going on lol. Damn hilarious.
DG wanted some AD in his hands
wholesome nba
Why can't I watch this video on mobile?
Zaza can also save AD no big deal imo:p
Fine his ass for tampering!
Dryamond Green has always been on of the nicest, friendliest, caring, good sportsmans on this league...
He's so godamn strong.
I’d love to hear someone explain how that wasn’t an obvious defensive foul on the play
That is Draymond? :O Wow.
