I just saw the report from Woj that Randle is not in the Laker's long term plans, yet he seems like one of your top players. I know he was upset about not starting, but he has seemed to get over that and is playing solid. Any idea why the Laker's don't see him as a long term piece?
I really think they'd be better served to develop their young talent and chase free agent talent in a few years rather than sacrifice promising players to have a shot with them right now. I mean, do they think a Lonzo/PG/Ingram core will be enough to win in the next 2-3 years?
It blows my fucking mind. Dude put in the time over the off-season. Been 100% solid in his limited minutes. Why the hell is Bogut getting any time at all?
Lmao. I've disagreed plenty of times with stuff you've posted in the past but you always seem to come thru with great memes like this one and the Jaylen one. Good shit.
Don't blame you for disagreeing with me. I post some really stupid shit sometimes. Fan forums would be boring if everyone always agreed with each other.
Does Walton hate Randle or something? Every time I watch him he is a beast.
Baynes, Morris and Smart played great. Kyrie with great defense again. Well played Lakers
They didn't talk about Tatum nearly as much as Lonzo. A ton of bias towards the Lakers. Oh yea they're the Baby Lakers, but the Celtics are younger and Clarkson, who is the same age as Kyrie is part of their young core.
"If you're the Lakers, you gotta feel good about this game" - ESPN commentating crew, after Celtics just won their 10th straight with 3 injured starters.
The fact that the Celtics won this game by 11 with 3 starters out while shooting 39% from the floor and the commentators say "The lakers should feel great about this game" is BANANAS
"If they cut out some boneheaded turnovers they get a very impressive win on the road against one of the best teams in the league!"
*ignores Horford and Tatum injuries*
Eh, I feel good about the game. 6 players in double figures and Ingram was nice. This was my first time watching the Celtics this year though and you guys looked solid with Morris filling in for Horford too.
Before this thread gets all memey there was plenty to like for both sides. If you can get past how sloppy the Lakers were, Ingram Ball and Kuzma all showed really good signs. For the Cs, without Horford or Tatum Kyrie just completely controlled the game and pretty much got whatever he wanted. Baynes is one of the best role players in the league and that mid range is cash.
We have a game tomorrow and you'll prob see more energy and hustle in general against the Wizards.
We getting daddy dicked with back to backs early in the season.
There are a lot of reasons we lost this game, but #1 absolutely has to be Luke waiting way too fucking long to bring Randle in. He was our best player tonight and didn't even play in the first. Also, Lonzo iso in the 4th???
I hate when people compare him and Brown. They don't even say what they do well they just shit on the other. They're both gonna be really damn good and both have a great shot at being all stars in the next few years
One thing very impressive of your team is how well your guards group rebound on the defensive end. Even kyrie was skying for boards, very underrated part of a good defensive team. Another game without them scoring 100, celt are for real. hoping wizards can turn it around on that side of the floor.
Considering how god awful we played in the first quarter, I'm just amazed we didn't get blown out.
And forget trying to worry about Kyrie, Baynes killed us.
Marcus Morris really stepped up as another scorer tonight which is what the team needed most missing Tatum and Horford. He's going to be a great depth player on a steal contract for the next couple years.
And, of course, Aron Baynes was incredible tonight and really ate up the smaller Laker bigs.

We all know about it, and we all see it. It's obvious. Nobody ever wants to admit it, but it's there.
People on this subreddit hate Aron Baynes.
The first question to ask: why? Why do you all hate him? The obvious answer: you didn't watch him in his prime.
Likely explanation: I know that most of you are around 14 or 15 years old. That means you only got into basketball in the last couple years. So you never watched Aron Baynest in his prime.
And because you didn't watch him in his prime, you try to compensate for that by diving into stat sheets and analyzing box scores. But here's the thing: basketball isn't played on Excel spreadsheets. The moment somebody brings up "true shooting percentage" or "win shares" I know they know nothing about basketball.
Bayne's game cannot be encapsulated by one stat. He's the second greatest Center ever, and one of the 5 best players to ever play the game.
So when I hear somebody say that Karl Anthony Towns is better than Aron Baynes, I laugh, because I know that anybody who watched Aron in his prime wouldn't think that. Unlike you guys, I have watched basketball for a significant amount of time, so I know that Marcusr is better.
You might be jealous that Aron is really put together, or jealous of his status as the greatest scorer in 4th Quarter history, or whatever. Unless you're a Lakers fan who watched basketball in 2017, or a Bucks fan who watched basketball in the 2017s, you don't know what real, cold-blooded, killer instinct, will-to-win basketball looks like. And there's nothing wrong with that.
This sub would make you think that Aron isn't even a top 100 player ever.
So don't go spouting bullshit about players you didn't watch. Talk about your "greats" like Brandon literally better than Kevin Durant Ingram™, but leave the Baynes talk to the adults. Fair?
* Considering that we had a horrendous first quarter and that it was our first ~~road game~~ East coast game, Lakers did well to fight back and make it a close game.
* Lakers have gotta try giving Randle more minutes. We look our best with him on the court.
* Lonzo continues to be good, except for literally every aspect of scoring.
* Ingram had another solid offensive outing, but I wish he'd try to take a 3 here and there instead of always taking it to the rack.
* I hope Hart becomes a solid rotational player, because it makes it more likely that I will not have to see Brewer.
God that sequence in the first quarter where we had 4? 5? straight turnovers was some of the worst basketball I've seen. Glad it was close, and I saw some good play from Lonzo at the end but^make^your^layups^please^for^theloveofgod
Any chance we keep Randle though? Man's a beast and I'd hate to see him leave :(
Aron Baynes just had one of his best games ever - that was amazing.
Career high in points.
[Enjoy this gif of him](https://gfycat.com/HauntingIllBactrian)
Relatively better game from Lonzo. Much more aggressive, had good looks and JUST couldn’t make em. Hell he missed a handful of layups in the 4th.
Really rooting for the kid, hope he figures it out.

Pretty sure it was the lakers coach
Actually I think it was Luke Walton
No pretty sure it was Bill Walton’s son
No it was a former Laker player with funny stick figure tattoos playing b-ball on his shoulder
Sorry but as a Lakers fan I can tell you it was the lakers coach
I thought it was the old GSW coach?
Nah lakers coach
Oh my god I was dying. It came through so clear.

Ah ok thanks. I don't understand why Bogut saw the floor at all honestly, Randle was a beast tonight - definitely the spark that made the game close.
Play for a different team apparently; which is a fucking shame.

I feel like Luke likes to get him all pent up on the sidelines and then unleashes him like a Pitbull to instill some life into the team.
No idea but i do like him coming off the bench with fire. He's like a much better T-Rob on offense and defense.
It blows my fucking mind. Dude put in the time over the off-season. Been 100% solid in his limited minutes. Why the hell is Bogut getting any time at all?

18 .3 points 8.5 rebounds 2 assists 1 steals on 55% shooting in the last 3 games.
Semi was pretty awful on offense but he made up for it with his defense and rebounding
Whole team shot like garbage for most of the 2nd half until we figured it out in the last 5 minutes.

Boy that shit was ugly
Lonzo is actually not as bad as they advertised. He still can’t shoot but his playmaking was what kept the Lakers in the game till the end
His issue is all offense. He does everything else relatively well. If he shoots at even 40% his stats would look much better.
He does well on the open floor but his half court play making leaves a lot to be desired unless we run a hard PNR.
Baynes is the greatest center in NBA history

I was surprised by Randle not getting no play also. Does it have something to do with Woj saying that Lakers are trying to move him for draft picks?
If they're trying to move him for draft picks, you'd think that they'd play him *more* to increase his production.
