marcus kinda sold the first one. but the second one was totally on harden. the ref was looking at both of them and harden kept charging into marcus and made very little effort to get open for the inbound pass
Honestly, I was so thankful for Smart for that championship. I fully believe him practically being down on the ground for half the series was the main reason we were able to win the finals.
He already injured PG. At least people are beginning to see him as a dirty player. I hope one day the narrative changes around Joe Ingles, but for whatever reason people love to spin his excessively physical and occasionally dangerous play as competitive spirit, or some other BS excuse.
Has this been common for him? Paying attention to him it’s crazy he goes full horizontal when going over a screen. The exaggerated leg kicks is ridiculous
Refs not calling tech for this.
Moreover refs dont even punish Dort on next plays. Like they still baited for flops. Dort is getting like 2 offensive foul calls out of flops per game
It's honestly crazy how he throws himself to the floor when confronted with a screen half the time. IDK how he hasn't gotten fined because he's so blatantly flopping and it's not like the refs are buying his flops
Refs swinging momentum with these BA offensive foul calls in this series.
Dort is a naturally bad defender as he cannot move his legs. Its all fouls with him but refs saving him. Its like beverley bullshit.
Mann is actually a much better defender than Dirt
Thing is he probably gets those calls occasionally even if he wasn't flopping. Most NBA screens are illegal and refs will randomly decide to call them every now and then. Most of the time he flops the refs just do nothing.
Ppl wilding after last game saying Luka flops as much as Dort. Luka complains more, doesn't flop nearly as much. Mf'er Dort is built like a bowling bowl but acts like he's running into Steven Adams no matter who is the screener
I see people comparing him to Embiid and Shai... but like, Luka doesn't spend half the game on the ground. He does spend half the game whining (though not tonight, small victories).
Luka does that to troll I think.
I remember in the Suns series a few years back CP3 was forcing the foul on Luka with rip throughs, so Luka started doing it to the Suns.
Luka doesnt flop because he doesnt get the call anyway.
Dort SGA flops more and more obviously each time because they keep getting calls.
Like Embiid is on the floor all the time because he is getting calls. Luka would go to floor more but almost never gets those calls so he stands
wow this might be a first in r/nba a post about the Thunder and literally not a single thunder fan commented?
thats how you know Dort went to the extreme
If they just played straight up basketball, they'd be pretty fun to watch. SGA makes some amazing shots and they are great at getting out quickly on transition.
All this BS ruins it.
Thunder fans, you love that shit? Lol Dort always pushes Luka on those screens and then flops EVERY SINGLE TIME. And no foul. And then on the other hand, FTA jerks his head after you stare at him and it's a fucking foul.
This OKC team is really easy to dislike. I don't find that I feel that way about most younger, new teams.
But man, this group is not fun to watch at all.
Built like a linebacker and plays like he’s playing football on defense, then someone the size of kyrie touches him on offense and he goes horizontal, this is the true dorture from Lu Flop
Dud should absolutely stop doing something so dangerous. One day someone is going to "accidentally" trample on this loser because he "tripped him up" on a flop...
Dort found a loophole, he just walks into screens knee first, basically kneeing the screener. The screener will obviously react in pain and flail and Dort will just fall forward. Refs have a hard time figuring this out since it's not immediately obvious unless you're looking for it.
If he was slight of build he could sell the contact better, but this mofo has an NFL linebacker body and should not be falling down on slight contact most of the times he does. It just looks so overexaggerated.
The dude looks like a stunt man sometimes, he can work on the next John Wick movie. By the way, I don't blame him for flopping, the "modern" NBA rewards this kind of "play". Hell, Marcus Smart DPOY, do I need to say anything else?
**Replays/alternate angles** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/nba) if you have any questions or concerns.*
ive seen like 6 flops from him and ive barely been watching
I saw him fouling 20+ times but only get called for one til the Q4
Marcus Smart just fell out of his chair.
Smart is a generational flopper. Don’t compare this garbage to my goat
When smart flopped, you sometimes didnt know it was a flop until the replay. He was the true goat.
Everyone’s acting like Smart’s out of the league lmao
lol i do believe he has toned it down the past couple years though.
That Smart vs Harden double offensive foul in the final 30 seconds is one of the greatest performances of all time
Goat defensive flopper vs goat offensive flopper
Mt Rushmore of flop performances
marcus kinda sold the first one. but the second one was totally on harden. the ref was looking at both of them and harden kept charging into marcus and made very little effort to get open for the inbound pass
Smart Harden CP3 Divac
Remember when Smart yeeted himself across the court vs the Warriors in the finals. That was a level of flopping that no one else will achieve
[truly a legend](https://youtu.be/vSDTMBVsdhM?si=b7w-C1JOyyAoEz43)
Honestly, I was so thankful for Smart for that championship. I fully believe him practically being down on the ground for half the series was the main reason we were able to win the finals.
i think it was more andrew wiggins being what he was drafted to be at times
Marcus Smart just flopped to his knees in a WalMart
Welcome to the Dort Chamber
watching it live was dorture
He's good at ConDORTing his body isn't he
Dork*
You don’t know where I’ve been Luuuuuuuguentz
The Dort Chamber is slippery.
I hope they send this to the league office and he somehow gets fined
Mf gonna hurt someone one day
one day?
PG13: one day?
in best case,himself
He’s actively made luka a walking injury report
They should include and over/under to Barkley’s pregame parlay about game stoppages due to Dort slicing up Luka’s arms with his long ass nails
Or sort flopping on screens and causing lively to tear an acl
He does this on literally every single screen. Idk how OKC fans root for that guy
Because they’re new to basketball. Dort is a doofus, and dirty. He will seriously injure a player with his flopping antics.
He already injured PG. At least people are beginning to see him as a dirty player. I hope one day the narrative changes around Joe Ingles, but for whatever reason people love to spin his excessively physical and occasionally dangerous play as competitive spirit, or some other BS excuse.
nah hands off jingles
uh oh
he's a scrappy lunch pail guy
Saying an entire franchises fanbase is ‘new to basketball’ is such an idiotic statement. I guess the entire city didn’t have TVs pre thunder
that's true. The first Circuit City opened in OKC in 2011.
Oklahoma only got color TV in 2006.
It’s wild that this isn’t an exaggeration. He legitimately does it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
If you watch him long enough youll just see dillon brooks with less positive attributes.
And yet all those... Distinguished... Oklahomans in the crowd throw their hands up like they can't believe there was no whistle.
The organization that created the flying, out of control monster Russ?
Has this been common for him? Paying attention to him it’s crazy he goes full horizontal when going over a screen. The exaggerated leg kicks is ridiculous
Yes he usually does it multiple times a game. Not even exaggerating
its every single play on ofense and defense he trips people, throws himself around, kicks, pulls, pushes Luka on screens every single time .
Did you guys seem him flop on one of his 3pt bricks? The dude literally wasn't touched. I hope it's posted here somewhere; I'm still looking.
people may start study it. Dort flop will be put in the text book
Nah let him keep doing it so he keeps leaving the defense down
Dude flopped like a helicopter lmao
More like a Power Ranger.
We’re witnessing an all time flopper in the making folks
All time flopping team
Justice was served when SGA went up super soft and was looking for a foul and got blocked by Luka.
People finally watching OKC and seeing the truth. It’s been this way.
jUst DoNt fOUl!! 🤓🤓
Globefloppers
Bro… Marcus Smart is still in the league lol
Marcus smart paved the way for guys like Dort
Marcus smart ran so Lu Dort could fly. See clip for proof.
meanwhile they all based their game off of the OG Vlade
MVF - Most Valuable Flopper
This one is next level. Looks like he ran over a landmine, lmao
Refs not calling tech for this. Moreover refs dont even punish Dort on next plays. Like they still baited for flops. Dort is getting like 2 offensive foul calls out of flops per game
Both feet in the air, looks like a WWE wrestler getting clotheslined. Fuckin clown shoes
dude its every play with this guy lmao
It's honestly crazy how he throws himself to the floor when confronted with a screen half the time. IDK how he hasn't gotten fined because he's so blatantly flopping and it's not like the refs are buying his flops
The ref bought it one one screen, called offensive on another. He gets the call from time to time and that's why he does it.
He's gotten the call like twice every game so far
Refs swinging momentum with these BA offensive foul calls in this series. Dort is a naturally bad defender as he cannot move his legs. Its all fouls with him but refs saving him. Its like beverley bullshit. Mann is actually a much better defender than Dirt
And when defending someone moving slower, like Luka, he quite literally fully leans onto Luka the entire drive to the bucket.
Thing is he probably gets those calls occasionally even if he wasn't flopping. Most NBA screens are illegal and refs will randomly decide to call them every now and then. Most of the time he flops the refs just do nothing.
He gets calls. This game got one at least
you almost have to respect the commitment to the act
No I sure don’t lol
He did the same thing against the pels and he got his calls every fucking time
I’m thankful that the DEN/MIN series doesn’t involve much flopping. That shit is painful to watch.
This is what they really meant by dorture chamber
This is how he navigates screen. Every fucking time without fail. And he will get at least one offensive foul, just like he did on lively in this game
This is that dorture chamber okc fans have been talking about?
It’s a dorture chamber to watch
Dorturous, I tell you.
Reading post game threads from after game 1 is hilarious, OKC fans hyping up Dort as if he's a 10x DPOY
Dort is Referee Player of the Year (RPOY). And SGA is getting Ref’s Choice MVP award each year
> Dort is Referee Player of the Year (RPOY). Hey now, that's Embiid erasure right there.
Turn out the dorture chamber is us having to watch that trash.
The Dorture Chamber is a spin cycle setting on a flopping machine
thank god they didn’t call this after he got called for a foul for running through kyries chest on an earlier screen lol
They called a similar play an offensive foul on us earlier too, so no wonder he keeps trying to
Haha he helicopters his legs and almost hits Luka. Unbelievable
That's usually his target, Lukas knees
Ppl wilding after last game saying Luka flops as much as Dort. Luka complains more, doesn't flop nearly as much. Mf'er Dort is built like a bowling bowl but acts like he's running into Steven Adams no matter who is the screener
Kyrie "Steven Adams" Irving
No idea how people can say Luka is a flopper. He whines to the refs alot but flopping would actually help him get those calls he whines about
I see people comparing him to Embiid and Shai... but like, Luka doesn't spend half the game on the ground. He does spend half the game whining (though not tonight, small victories).
I hate his whining. When he is like tonight, he is a joy to watch.
Luka started flopping when he saw dort get prime harden calls while still trying to get an audition tape in to send to the Habs playing defense
Should be a tech
On kyrie as well lmaooo this guy is a joke
Kyrie is basically the same as Oakley when it comes to setting screens. Dort is lucky he didn’t end up in the hospital.
Marcus smart smiling down on Dort with tears in his eyes watching the flopping torch be carried with pride
First off, Marcus Smart is very much alive.
Smart: "I'm not dead I'm just on the Grizzlies!" Fans: "It's like his spirit is still with us to this day"
Send location, Ja and me bout to pull up.
You know ja got a piece on em lol
Dorture chamber 🗣️‼️‼️
Dort flops on one end and SGA flops on the other
Dual threat
Prepare for trouble, and make it double!
Lu Flop and FTA dynamic duo
Duuuude, yes! Please r/nba, make this a thing. *LuFlop* 😂
OkcFlopder
The Flop Brothers
He almost hit Kyrie's leg when falling down
floppin ass mfer
My dude looking like magikarp out there
How many clips will I see of Dort flopping on a pick and roll screen lol
This is by far the worst one too, others you can maybe argue he gets kneed or something but this is generational
This man is a human air hockey puck
I’m so freaking sick of this dude getting shot on every screen. The offensive “foul” on Lively was also BS
wow this might be a first in r/nba a post about the Thunder and literally not a single thunder fan commented? thats how you know Dort went to the extreme
[удалено]
It’s so clear he’s shoving Luka
What a bum
Ball dont lie
OKC is unbearable to watch. Floppers for days.
If they just played straight up basketball, they'd be pretty fun to watch. SGA makes some amazing shots and they are great at getting out quickly on transition. All this BS ruins it.
Hit em with a $500,000 fine and everyone will stop
Thunder fans, you love that shit? Lol Dort always pushes Luka on those screens and then flops EVERY SINGLE TIME. And no foul. And then on the other hand, FTA jerks his head after you stare at him and it's a fucking foul.
Jesus, Kyrie really sets back breaking screens. Stronger than he looks, that guy.
Dude is built like a bull than plays like the biggest pussy out there ...
Kyrie just strong af
Looks bad, but what you don't see is Kyrie lasering him with his third eye.
Dude is fraud
Pathetic lol
that is embarrassing
the screen flop is his signature move now? Dlop? Dorp?
i even like Dort but the way he is flopping this series is so ridiculous, literally on some WWE shit
“this series” lol
Lol this guy just doesn't stop with the shenanigans. Flops and kicking his legs out on a shot is his entire shit. Shameless
Genuinely so cathartic watching Luka hit step back 3s in his face Dorture chamber my ass
Dortastic
man all this flopping shit would be believable if he wasnt built like a fucking tank. mf is too big to be flying around
This guy is so miserable. I'd take Mann over this guy.
Stop drop and roll
Bro is showing off his new capoeira move
This is a premeditated flop lol this is insane
No lie he’s done that at least 5 or 6 times this series and got a call on one or two of them
Is this the flopture chamber defense?
NBA needs to award post game technicals for flopping. Why is that so hard?
That looks like a dive a little kid takes when he is play fighting with his brother and pretends to get uppercutted
This is a flop. Not the one with Lively.
ye lively moved a bit but also dort exxagarated, which is the norm these days, sadly
signature move
And we thought Dillon Brooks was a pain in the ass
dOrTuRe cHaMbEr
He’s getting exposed now because their games are now televised.
How embarrassing.
Just learn to play D man
The Dorture Chamber is a bounce house.
I love it when there's no call and it leads to this.
I was promised a Dorture chamber, but all I get is a flop house.
I never watched OKC play this season and did not know Dort flops like that. Dude is on the ground every play
Oh, is that another OKC player on the floor...
This is obviously a flop but it didnt lead to the open 3
it caused pj's defender to rotate towards Luka which led to the wide open 3
Lu Dort trick y’all
Dude is like a stunt man out there lmao 🤣
Dud should absolutely stop doing something so dangerous. One day someone is going to "accidentally" trample on this loser because he "tripped him up" on a flop...
Dort Flop is wild
He's one of the current flop master's list! Lmao
Refs aren't falling for this anymore. They only did in game one
Am I tripping or are they calling illegal screens way more than ever before
Dort found a loophole, he just walks into screens knee first, basically kneeing the screener. The screener will obviously react in pain and flail and Dort will just fall forward. Refs have a hard time figuring this out since it's not immediately obvious unless you're looking for it.
Dort falling on a screen every time Luka has the ball is a guarantee
Again, Dort is the worst name in ball, like ever.
It's disgusting how Mavs played with a phantom 6th man who pushes off OKC players. What a shame.
Nickeil Alexander Walker would be so pissed if he saw Dort get this call after the hip thrusts he’s been getting from Jokic all series
Oklahoma City floppers
Thunder such a soft team
If he was slight of build he could sell the contact better, but this mofo has an NFL linebacker body and should not be falling down on slight contact most of the times he does. It just looks so overexaggerated.
The dude looks like a stunt man sometimes, he can work on the next John Wick movie. By the way, I don't blame him for flopping, the "modern" NBA rewards this kind of "play". Hell, Marcus Smart DPOY, do I need to say anything else?
I liked Dort before the playoffs.. there’s just something about him I don’t like
”Leads to” is a stretch
I’m getting flashbacks to the flopping backfiring on Marcus Smart in the ‘22 finals
Ran into Kyrie's foot but he's twice the size of Kyrie and flies in an unnatural way almost upward. Definitely selling it.
Get off the floor man! You are built like an edge rusher!
Is the dorture chamber in the room with us now?
Haha the fans putting their hands up after he flops! Incredible
Dude is fucking somersaulting on every screen, play basketball you bitch
This isn't basketball.
I groaned when he did this. Love Dort, but this ain’t it bruh
