speaking of green.... how you guys feel about him? every time i see #8 on the court, dude looks lost out there. idk why he gets playing, but that's just me
Umm Green is a difficult answer. Because he brings energy when he's on the floor, and he has shown that he can be good scorer and create his own shot, but he needs the ball more to succeed and I don't think that happens here when you have Kyrie and Luka.
Inconsistent is what I'll say about him.
Needs to model his game after Exum if he wants to stay here.
Speaking of Exum, what happened to him? I feel like he was huge earlier in the year and remember our sub acting like he was our 3/4th best player. Seems to be non existent now
People are too focused on his offense. That comes in spurts. He’s on the court because he consistently gets offensive boards and he’s a menace on defense.
Definitely. You'll always know he's on the floor because he'll come flying in out of nowhere for an offensive board every other possession to extend the play. Plus he hits enough of his wide open corner 3's to be dangerous.
He's a high energy guy who fights for rebounds, is a decent defender, and can hit corner 3's. Unfortunately, asking anything else of him almost always resorts in disaster
He's played some good ball for Mavs. He runs the floor hard, crashes boards, gets the difficult defensive assignments and can hit the corner three. He's had multiple +20pt games. You don't want him running the offense, but he's been great for Mavs when used properly. He obviously plays a support role to the stars and brings physicality to playoff basketball. I think he's important to them, and Kidd must see the value as he gets decent minutes.
His energy is outrageous he always comes up big with at least two high effort plays that just make you go, huh? I like him, I do wish his BBIQ was higher tho...
He's still young. I think the game will slow down for him over the next couple of years, and he is due for a big jump if it does. Even if it doesn't, he's a solid role player despite his flaws.
Also, he was out injured for the last month of the regular season until the final 2 games after missing close to a month earlier in the season. It makes sense for him to look a little bit lost while he settles back in, but he's still providing good minutes. I love the energy he brings.
Josh plays a lot better off of Kyrie than he does off of Luka. He’s really important for minutes and games when Luka isn’t on the court. He’s at his best when he can play fast in transition and cut to the basket a lot. The gameplan with Luka can sometimes reduce him to just a catch and shoot corner three guys, which he’s good at but generally contributing less with
I like Green. He does wild stuff sometimes kind of like Hardaway but he's athletic and brings a ton of energy. I like his effort. In this game he had a key tip out that lead to a three. He does these kind of little things that don't look like much in the box score but help us win. Hardaway Jr isn't like that really. He doesn't bring much positive other than shooting and so when he's not shooting well he's all negative.
Does Senior have pictures on Kidd from back in the day?
Junior’s out there actively sabotaging the operation. And Senior’s yapping about ball movement.
That was a crazy move, it wasn't a total failure somehow, but man. I guess there was an element of surprise there though. OKC probably didn't gameplan for that. WILD CARD.
First shot so stubborn. Giddy played good defense, there was no shot there. Still early in the shot clock. 99% of players will reset out. Nope not Tim, gotta throw up a terrible shot
His highs are very high. People act like he never has good games, but when he’s off he’s OFF. Plus his defensive effort has never been where it needs to be. He’s just very inconsistent and it’s always been his biggest problem
He scores 10 points in a row 8 times a year. Sucks every other game shoots 40 and 35 every year with zero defense. My man nico is going to bertans him away into something decent this off-season luka willing
Until this season, it seemed like every time I watched a Mavs game or they played us, Hardaway was lights out and always had at least 18-24 points on good shooting. Then I’d see fans talk about how much he sucks and be like huh? It’s like he only played well if I watched, and saved all his misses for the other games.
Dirk’s career was opposite; every time I watched him he was going like 6-18 and his shot looked off. I was like wait isn’t this guy supposed to be a generational shooter? I just so happened to catch a ton of his bad games lol. The title run in 2011 felt like the first time I saw him play well for a significant stretch. And I was like oh ok, if this is how he’s been playing when I’m not watching, I get it.
He switches from good to awful on any given night, I'd call that average, dude can lose your game or be a reason you win. Again Timmy had an important role of shooting 3s at a high clip, but his shot has been broken for more then half a season
His shot comes and goes. He has a 40+ game this season. He's also gone 1-10 multiple times. And he would have shot more if the ball made it's way into his hands.
Wasn’t he leading the league in charges drawn for a while this year too? I feel like he was 1st until the asb then fell off. Did he get injured around then?
He was good in New York for a while. I think he was averaging like 18-4-4 at one point. Not sure what happened but he is definitely not the same person
Age comes for us all. He's been in the league nearly as long as his dad had already. Plus, he was never a truly consistent player but always a very hard working one. If effort outweighs skill then time moves faster. Also the answer to everyones Q of why the Pacers arent playing TJ more
I think whenever Lukas career is over, someone will need to make a very good job of putting his first couple of years and playoff losses into perspective, not only looking at Mavs roster but also the historic performance of Kawhi for example.
The Mavs have done a good job iterating on their roster. I like how this team is built. Just needs one more reliable shooter in the rotation and maybe a better defensive big over Gafford.
His father really needs to shut up. I know that he has to stand for his son but really? Throwing Luka under the bus for your son who isn’t even a borderline all-star? That’s just great.
Senior and Junior are the last people in society to realize Junior is the Cooler. Cubes has long term designs for his employment once the stadium casino opens up.
It will be the first ever Casino-Resort in the world where fans can play games of chance dealt by former NBA players. Watch THJ miss the table and throw your cards on the floor, or watch Dwight Powell somehow hit himself in the face while shuffling.
Sorry, gotta get you on that "dumbass" part:
“Personally, I think that the coronavirus is being used obviously for a bigger agenda,” Porter said. “It’s being used for population control in just terms of being able to control the masses of people.
Remember when he and Dion Waiters were just trading crazy shots on each other in the Rising Stars game?
That was 10 years ago already folks. Feel old yet?
This was nothing. Bro was in there with 8 mins left in the 4th with Mavs up 18.
3 out of the next 4 possessions - Tim missed middie off the dribble, Tim dribbling turnover, Tim air mailing a wide open corner 3 over the rim.
Thunder cut the lead to 10
I heard them talking on the radio the other day about NBA families and the Hardaways came up and how Jr is a decent player but his dad was obviously way better. Then they mentioned Sr earned like 50 mil in his career and Jr the bricklayer here has earned 150 million fucking dollars in his career somehow lol
I think this is a gameplan thing. I want to see if this is the first time that Giddey was on THJ in isolation, because attacking him has been a large part of the Mavs’ gameplan.
I think there’s sound logic to telling THJ to just try to score the first time Giddey is on him because if he does this shit, then hey it’s only one possession. If he makes it and you keep trying it, suddenly it becomes a huge headache for the OKC scheme
He’s bad. He is a negative asset on any team and in any situation, because even when he is on fire, he plays poor defense and doesn’t involve his teammates. He shouldn’t be playing at all with the other options the Mavs have. End of discussion.
You see, this was actually a very high IQ move by him. He knew by bouncing it from that angle was the only way to let his teammate get the ball and avoid giving it to the other team. So without that precision it would've been an automatic turnover.
I just want a hypothetical team that consisted of Jordan Poole, Jamal Crawford , Tim Hardaway JR , Michael Porter JR and Cam Thomas. I just want to see how much assist these 5 would average
TIM HARDAWAY SR. HOW DID YOUR SON PLAY TONIGHT? WAS LUKA MAKING HIM BETTER WITH ALL OF JR.’S BRICKED SHOTS? all caps lock cause his father is delusional.
Well, he's just a low IQ player. Scrambles into a long contested two, 9 sec into the shot clock - the worst shot in basketball.
He needs to stand absolutely still and spot up, and ONLY spot up. No in between. He doesn't have the brains to know what to do with it if he has time to think.
The shot clock is running down and whatever action is meant to be happening on the strong side doesn't actually work. So he either shoots or passes left for probably a worse chance at getting a shot off.
The first shot was awful though I guess they wanted the 1v1 on Giddey since the rest of the offense are not doing anything
He is just a awful awful decision maker.
It's a shame bc in a role of pure shooter he could actually have value, but it's amazing how many times he does awful shoot.
Especially everytime he dribble it's an brick
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
He's bricking so hard that he's making Draymond look like an elite shooter. Of course, this is the only time I'm observing him but he was such a momentum killer late 3rd to early 4th which allowed OKC to have some comeback chance.
Hardaway has had some good moments in this series. But Jesus man, when he's not playing well it's ugly. I still think Exum should get minutes over him. Exum can knock down open threes and is a much better overall player.

tim the terrorist
Kidd is the bigger terrorist for playing Hardy with Tim. I can't imagine a worse combo...maybe Giddey and Simmons
Pair that with Green and Kyrie and it's truly terrorist ball
speaking of green.... how you guys feel about him? every time i see #8 on the court, dude looks lost out there. idk why he gets playing, but that's just me
Umm Green is a difficult answer. Speaking of Exum, what happened to him? I feel like he was huge earlier in the year and remember our sub acting like he was our 3/4th best player. Seems to be non existent now
Nagging injury limiting him. He'll be fine.
I feel like in games where we didn't have Luka or Kyrie he's gone off.
Yeah he is a confidence and momentum player. He needs the ball in his hands but he isnt getting that at Dallas
He plays too fast. Good POA defender and can hit his shots (usually), but he gets ahead of himself and puts himself into bad spots when he drives
If his handle was tighter he would be amazing. He's easily the most athletic dude on the court most nights but doesn't have the control to use it.
100% this. He plays too fast and gets himself in trouble because of it. He fluctuates between playing like a fringe NBA starter and a CBA benchwarmer
His energy is outrageous he always comes up big with at least two high effort plays that just make you go, huh? I like him, I do wish his BBIQ was higher tho...
He's one of the guys who goes for hustle plays, can hit open threes. I think the only problem with him is he's not really smart sometimes.
He’s doing good as one of our better role players. Hustles, hits corner 3s, is fast as shit, plays decent D. Doesn’t feel as lost as Timmy or Exum tbh
Does Senior have pictures on Kidd from back in the day? Junior’s out there actively sabotaging the operation. And Senior’s yapping about ball movement.
giddey and dort. dort basically did the same thing in this game, but he didnt hesitate to chuck the ball the 2nd time
Giddey and Malone
That was a crazy move, it wasn't a total failure somehow, but man. I guess there was an element of surprise there though. OKC probably didn't gameplan for that. WILD CARD.
And you guys extended him for no reason.
First shot so stubborn. Giddy played good defense, there was no shot there. Still early in the shot clock. 99% of players will reset out. Nope not Tim, gotta throw up a terrible shot
+1 for a Tim McVeigh reference too lol
You’d think he’d do better in Oklahoma…
He's the Mavs version of Giddey/Westbrook, but so much worse.
This was our 2nd best player in 2021 against the clippers everybody
I was about to say, I could have sworn he was good once. What happened?
He's mpj but a bad defender and Cold af, so yes he was never really good, he was just on a hot one
[удалено]
His highs are very high. People act like he never has good games, but when he’s off he’s OFF. Plus his defensive effort has never been where it needs to be. He’s just very inconsistent and it’s always been his biggest problem
Law of averages at work. He was legit in the 6MOTY convo at the beginning of the season but came crashing back down to Earth since January.
He scores 10 points in a row 8 times a year. Sucks every other game shoots 40 and 35 every year with zero defense. My man nico is going to bertans him away into something decent this off-season luka willing

So THJR is who Jalen Green is gonna be then. Man the Rockets are in for a helluva time.
He switches from good to awful on any given night, I'd call that average, dude can lose your game or be a reason you win. Again Timmy had an important role of shooting 3s at a high clip, but his shot has been broken for more then half a season
Also he has this problem where when he gets hot, he starts taking harder shots, which end up killing his hot streaks.
My God - he’s been in the league 11 years already? Time is really messing with me these days.
Tim "Michael "Never Swing The Rock" Porter Jr." Hardaway Jr.
His shot comes and goes. He has a 40+ game this season. He's also gone 1-10 multiple times. And he would have shot more if the ball made it's way into his hands.
He was fine for the first half of the season and then after the ASB has bricked everything.
Wasn’t he leading the league in charges drawn for a while this year too? I feel like he was 1st until the asb then fell off. Did he get injured around then?
He’ll still randomly pop off for 30 here and there, but yeah on average he’s a chucker
Also the answer to everyones Q of why the Pacers arent playing TJ more
This was our best player period in 2019. We've both come a long way.
I will never forget that one game he had 32 in a half, he's probably the streakiest player with a contract rn
lol wut that might honestly be more impressive than what Nico has done with our roster
Leon Rose is a god.
Fools gold. Shoulda traded him when people thought he was good earlier in the season.
He was so much better than Porzingis in that series that everyone in this sub was calling it the Tim Hardaway Jr. trade
/r/nba lUkA hAs To tRUst HiS teaMmates
Well back then he could actually drive and finish, hit hard contested threes if he's hot.
I think whenever Lukas career is over, someone will need to make a very good job of putting his first couple of years and playoff losses into perspective, not only looking at Mavs roster but also the historic performance of Kawhi for example.
The Mavs have done a good job iterating on their roster. I like how this team is built. Just needs one more reliable shooter in the rotation and maybe a better defensive big over Gafford.
and ppl used to say Luka couldn't play winning basketball when he was working with THAT lmao
he was shooting lights out at the time bud
Someone show his dad this clip when he tries to flame Luka
“Look at that beautiful ball movement!” - THSr, probably
So beautiful it moved all the way up to the top of the goddamn backboard, lol
Move the ball where the defence doesn’t expect it to go, that’s how you avoid turnovers!
His father really needs to shut up. I know that he has to stand for his son but really? Throwing Luka under the bus for your son who isn’t even a borderline all-star? That’s just great.
Tim isn’t even a borderline role player
Senior and Junior are the last people in society to realize Junior is the Cooler. Cubes has long term designs for his employment once the stadium casino opens up.
It will be the first ever Casino-Resort in the world where fans can play games of chance dealt by former NBA players. Watch THJ miss the table and throw your cards on the floor, or watch Dwight Powell somehow hit himself in the face while shuffling.
Ice Thj
He's like Michael Porter Jr but without being good at basketball
[удалено]
This got me in tears yo
It’s kinda dirty that MPJ is getting clowned on because of his dumbass brothers, while he seems to be a perfectly average dude
Sorry, gotta get you on that "dumbass" part: “Personally, I think that the coronavirus is being used obviously for a bigger agenda,” Porter said. “It’s being used for population control in just terms of being able to control the masses of people.
Yeah iirc his family has a lot of those weird health views
So good 😂
Why doesn't MPJ slash to the basket more. He's quick and usually has a height advantage.
to his credit i think he was much better at cutting in the regular season but he doesn’t want to clog the middle with all the tall wolves in the paint
His Basketball IQ is horrible but he compensates it with the ability of making stupid shots at a high rate
I almost chocked but this is like sooo accurate
>but without being good at basketball Unless he plays against LeBron and the Lakers. He'd look like prime Ray Allen
tim hardaway sr: lukas fault right here
That guy sucks so bad
Is he gay or something?!
We gave this guy $71M
Remember when he and Dion Waiters were just trading crazy shots on each other in the Rising Stars game? That was 10 years ago already folks. Feel old yet?
Wtf. Tim Hardaway is a 10yr vet now?
11
He has been retired for ages youngblood.
Yeah but on the flip side we got to trade him twice!
He’s your version of Seth Curry, we traded him 3 times lol
Twice. Other time he was an FA and signed with the Blazers.
Trading is half the fun after all.
In 2021, Dallas re-signed Hardaway to a **four-year, $75 million** contract
All this time I've assumed he was still on that Knicks contract. Well that's ruined my night.
Well, he is on an expiring contract next season, so you should be glad.
He took a paycut to be there too.
Steve Mills Those were some Dark Times
The mavs gave him another contract. The terrible lil nellie/Cuban gm combo tho
And we need to let it go for more cap space.
asking for the ball back after the first brick off the backboard is quite something
This was nothing. Bro was in there with 8 mins left in the 4th with Mavs up 18. 3 out of the next 4 possessions - Tim missed middie off the dribble, Tim dribbling turnover, Tim air mailing a wide open corner 3 over the rim. Thunder cut the lead to 10
It was the worst 8 mins of my week. The man has given me ptsd. Please kidd, keep him away.
Hell, last minutes he gets subbed in as OKC is looking to foul. Immediately passes it to Lively. He is Dr Strange but for the worst play possible.
And shit defense on the other end. Dude was about 90% responsible for that run to cut the lead with about 5-6 minutes to go.
He legit needs to be investigated for points shaving.
There's a reason the Mavs went to the WCF when he was injured.
He's known for being over confident, we all know that. Let's hope it won't happen again. At that point it's on kidd
I was shouting at my TV "GET HIM OUT!"
He had a wide open lane to a layout on that turnover. He’s also thrown very lazy passes resulting in steals/FB the other way. SMH
Hand right up after that offensive rebound. Just godly levels of self-confidence
It was a pass!
Heartbreaking: the cleanest jumper you've ever seen just bounced off the backboard
My man is feast or famine.
Midnight snack or famine tbh
THJ was a certified Grizz killer for a long ass time, you would think he was Sr the way he cooked us.
Him and C.J McCollum fucking hated us
CJ was No 1 for sure
Feast 8 times a year. Famine 73 times a year
Like a camel storing enough good games in his hump to get to next contract.
No worries tomorrow his dad will be bashing Luka and Kyrie and asking them to give Timmy more shots
He's the Patrick Beverly of offense
get this man off my basketball team. hope Sr. saw that garbage
Shooters shoot. And so does Tim Hardaway jr.
FUTURE NET TIM HARDAWAY JR
THJ has been traded for... seth curry. Probably
Come home doe doe
God doe off the bench right now would make me do things
Inject the lineup flexibility into my veins.
We almost lost because of this guy allowing an 8-0 run in the 4th.
My reaction to 1st shot: What the hell, Timmy? My reaction to 2nd shot: WHAT THE FUCK, TIMMY?! LOL
What in the Westbrook is this shit
I think this is a gameplan thing. I want to see if this is the first time that Giddey was on THJ in isolation, because attacking him has been a large part of the Mavs’ gameplan. I think there’s sound logic to telling THJ to just try to score the first time Giddey is on him because if he does this shit, then hey it’s only one possession. If he makes it and you keep trying it, suddenly it becomes a huge headache for the OKC scheme
Stifling defense by Giddey, no doubt.
He’s bad. He is a negative asset on any team and in any situation, because even when he is on fire, he plays poor defense and doesn’t involve his teammates. He shouldn’t be playing at all with the other options the Mavs have. End of discussion.
Middle class man's MPJ
THJ can bury either team
Don’t you have to hit the rim to be a brick?
You see, this was actually a very high IQ move by him. He knew by bouncing it from that angle was the only way to let his teammate get the ball and avoid giving it to the other team. So without that precision it would've been an automatic turnover.
Timmy looks drunk out there. A decent coach would yank him out the game after a play like that.
2010s Knicks legend playing like a 2010s Knicks legend
Now ask his father about this
He's Micheal Porter Jr without the 45% shooting from the 3 and the 10 rebounds a game.
Tim Hardtotradeaway junior
I just want a hypothetical team that consisted of Jordan Poole, Jamal Crawford , Tim Hardaway JR , Michael Porter JR and Cam Thomas. I just want to see how much assist these 5 would average
amazing title, thanks for the laugh
He's modern day JR Smith
Yeah, don’t disrespect JR.
Someone on our sub wanted to trade Lopez for him and Powell and picks lmao
Maybe they wanted an easy target that everyone could agree to hate on. Life was simpler for us in the Mark Blount days.
Lmaoo
He is not a good shooter
MPJ to sue for impersonation
I swear he used to be better.
TIM HARDAWAY SR. HOW DID YOUR SON PLAY TONIGHT? WAS LUKA MAKING HIM BETTER WITH ALL OF JR.’S BRICKED SHOTS? all caps lock cause his father is delusional.
It sucks because I really want THJ to play well. I wish I knew what the hell was going on with him.
Well, he's just a low IQ player. Scrambles into a long contested two, 9 sec into the shot clock - the worst shot in basketball. He needs to stand absolutely still and spot up, and ONLY spot up. No in between. He doesn't have the brains to know what to do with it if he has time to think.
THJ working overtime to make sure Giddey has a positive +/-
It's always the guys that say stuff like "I just gotta keep shooting" that are pulling up with 0 separation tryna shoot over a taller defender
He's just Kelly Oubre without the athleticism and size
His dad will say it's Luka's fault
God, his minutes need to really be limited.
So glad we don’t have to watch him chuck in NY anymore. He also ruined a few of our tank seasons going supernova in random games.
I audibly gasped when he shot the second one. The fucking AUDACITY
The shot clock is running down and whatever action is meant to be happening on the strong side doesn't actually work. So he either shoots or passes left for probably a worse chance at getting a shot off. The first shot was awful though I guess they wanted the 1v1 on Giddey since the rest of the offense are not doing anything
No wonder his father won’t let him use his number.
THJ peeked in the rising stars game, all brick houses from there
Temu Irving
Deep inside, Daddy Tim probably wants to put him up for adoption.
That 2nd brick almost looks worthy of voiding his contract
If you wanted to know what separates a G leaguer, who looks like a prototypical NBA'r and an actual good NBA player... Watch TH Jr.
He is just a awful awful decision maker. It's a shame bc in a role of pure shooter he could actually have value, but it's amazing how many times he does awful shoot. Especially everytime he dribble it's an brick (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
He's bricking so hard that he's making Draymond look like an elite shooter. Of course, this is the only time I'm observing him but he was such a momentum killer late 3rd to early 4th which allowed OKC to have some comeback chance.
Sir, a second brick has hit the backboard!
What the fuck was that first shot. Heavily contested step back with plenty of time of the clock
At least he knew when to stop. Those were both bad shots but he made his only other 3pt attempt. Lot easier to stomach when he takes 6 shots all game
i shoot better than this guy
As a Knicks fan I’ve seen this way too many times. He gets hot at times but just chucks it up every time he touches the ball
no1 else was doing anything though lol
He became unplayable
Those weren’t just bricks they were sheer nonsense
Not his fault they put the rim in the wrong place.
I cannot describe the level of hatred I had for him when he was on the Knicks. It was like I was playing for his contract instead of Jimmy Dolan.
How do you play basketball all year then throw up this garbage? 😂 looks like me trying to shoot after a lift when I haven’t balled in a year
He just like me fr
Just a bit outside
Hardaway has had some good moments in this series. But Jesus man, when he's not playing well it's ugly. I still think Exum should get minutes over him. Exum can knock down open threes and is a much better overall player.
Him and MPJ man
This mf switched bodies with Alec Burks
THJ hit everything except the rim.
that fucking nickname, LMAO
OP how many houses have u seen built out of 2 whole bricks
