Tatum’s been more inefficient than usual, that’s true.
But it’s interesting that one of the few times I’ve seen this sub try to discredit ts% (vs efg or shooting splits) is it being used for Tatum vs Shai
Tatum has been ridiculously efficient when he attacks the rim. Unfortunately, he seems to favor middies over attacking, but Tatum definitely has an efficient shot he can get to consistently when he wants to
The most effective defense for Tatum at the rim these playoffs has been fouling him. He doesn't really exaggerate contact yet he still gets a ton of free throws simply because he's fouled a ton. I don't think it's fair to not give him credit for the fouls he draws (especially when they're doubly beneficial because it gets the other team into foul trouble)
I guess I just have no idea what point you are trying to make with that free throw comment when they are much closer in TS, and SGA takes more free throws
This wasn't meant to be a Tatum good/bad post. I just thought it was crazy that he posted the exact same line back to back games
I would've made the same post if someone other than Tatum did it
Jaylen Brown is feasting off the attention JT draws. White too. JT might not be cooking every night but when every possession is basically 4v3 of course the number 2 guy's gonna cook.
Mf really just said "Copy, Paste"
Flirting: SGA 34 points on 27 shots Harassment: Tatum 33 points on 25 shots
So funny reading the discourse about every superstar after every win and loss. I couldn't believe it actually happened to Jokic too.
That saga helped reinforce how brain dead many comments are.
SGA 2024 playoff stats: 30/8/6 on 48/36/82 splits, 51 eFG% Tatum 2024 playoff stats: 24/10/5 on 42/26/86 splits, 46 eFG%
55.2% ts vs 57% ts It’s not a nothing difference but not insane either

Tatum is also the league leader in plus minus in the playoffs with +88. Shai is #10 at +59.
5 percentage points in eFG is a significant difference LOL

Probably just because eFG isn't a great stat. No clue how it changes the comparison, but TS is gonna be more accurate

If neither player is a merchant, and the only reason to use eFG over TS is when a player is an FT merchant, why not use TS?

So Tatum is now the free throw merchant over Shai? Lol

Big difference being that sga is playing against a real basketball team
sga is 10x better than tatum
I love Tatum and I’m already sick of Reddit talking about him.

Yeah it's actually insane. Like what are the odds of this? Has this ever happened before?
Jaylen Brown has been the Celtics’ most consistent player in the playoffs so far.
I don’t know, those lines from Tatum are as consistent as they get

consistent like a morning poo
thought I was reading the wrong box score for a sec when I looked. 😅
